This was a great expansion. Sure, Wotlk was fun and all, but it wasn't the same experience as when you crossed into Hellfire Peninsula for the first time after playing vanilla WoW for those years. It was absolutely fucking mindblowing to hear that music and see that zone and the war going on in it

@tabanorama you miss the fact that BC ruined the game. It added resil, which had completely changed the itemization and difficulty of obtaining items, a mistake which they are supposedly adhering in cataclysm, by getting rid of the stat altogether. It also began this disgusting trend of killing off the main characters of the warcraft franchise, and retconning everything.

@tabanorama When I played WC3, I KILLED magtheridon. I killed him with Illidan, but now he's supposedly alive and in a tower in the middle of the first zone? WTF is that garbage? And Illidan, a being who had power imbued from Sargeras, who remains the most powerful evil character in the lore, can be killed by 25 random adventurers and Maiev. Don't even get me started on what they did to the draenei/

@Niadosh99 No, after you get to outland in WC3, you're in hellfire, where the black citadel is, which might either be the original name for hellfire citadel, or en early black temple. But you kill Magtheridon there.

@monkuWoW I know that. The lich king was supposedly one of the most powerful characters in the lore, but they used the ashbringer as a legitamate way to kill off arthas. I wouldn't be surprised if bolvar as the lich king made a comeback, but the fact that they're killing off all these characters is fucking stupid. Especially illidan who wasn't exactly a bad guy. They just made him seem like that when BC came out.
