I took off from Salina Airport in Kansas once and 4 phantoms crossed my bow on an intersecting runway. We were both a few hundred feet in the air. that was pretty cool. I'm surprised that I did not get the vortices banging me around.

I don't see them as showing off. Especially the last A-10 that flew by, looks as if he was staying in formation with the plane and probably a CO told the A-10 pilot he had been targeted by a missile. The A-10 pilot launched some flares, broke formation and did evasive maneuvers.

We invited them to do the intercept so even though we were expecting it, we didn't know from which direction and what they were going to do. They had as much fun as we did. I unfortunately didn't get it all on tape. We had our dogs with us on our laps while this was going on! Must have looked funny from their perspective.

Kansas near salina.. near a bombing range in the 70's.. now that was cool..

i had to start a split s in order to avoid the

run but they broke it off before i was going inverted and and came back to level.

thats cool, you can tell that they were showing off, you know you give an 20 year old a 50 biliion dollar jet and you can wonder what hes gonna do with it, last month my friend Finese42 and a few friends were flying our Mooney down south, and we passed through a MOA, i think it was hunter moa or something anyways, we got jumped by a pack of F-15's and they followed is and played with us. they probably targeted us to, but there a bunch of show offs.
