  • Nice landing, crappy song!My son is just going to Montreal to fly Saab340's with Provincial Airlines.I am looking forward to being a passenger on his plane!

  • Agree with everybody. Was looking forward to the noise of the props being reversed, and not only do we miss out on that noise, the music is absolutely horrible! Please repost with original sound!

  • quit dissing the music...not everyone likes rap and hip hop and R&B and pop and soft stuff, and country and all the radio brainwashed crap out there.

  • @gacwalker You do realize the reason people complain is that they don't want music at all, no matter the kind. Pure sound form the plane itself is more interesting. :P

  • @RaXha agreed that the pure sound is better......but the music selected got ripped on for some reason. I'm a pilot and I love metal so this video was perfect for me ;P

  • Nice Landing....

  • all im being reminded of is a shitty song

  • @stagedivers24 That's a song? I thought some one was trying to shit razor blades.

  • Nice Video But did have to mute.

  • Not sure if you guys are still flying in and out of KFLL. I'm there 5-6 days a week, haha.

  • Must you ruin a great video with this crap music.

  • Excellent video! Rubbish music though.

  • No doubt on losing the song. My interest in aviation includes the sounds of the aircraft, the crew, atc... not "Drowning Pool".

  • Lose the song and we'll talk.

  • good video, shitty sound. Would be better without the song.

  • Awesome video... at least this song is good hahaha

  • why cant we just listen to the airplane?

  • I hate people who clap after a landing, It's not like you clap after a bus stops?!

  • good video, terrible soundtrack to it

  • music ?????????????????????????????????????

  • love this song!

  • Great video, but would have rather heard the engine and wind noise if any rather than that awful screamy crap music!! I guess, "to each his own"!

  • What this awful music.........is this a flight video or a "Metal concert" were flying to ?

  • good song

good video and i don't know about the landing hahahah

  • This song DOES NOT go good with the video, at all.

  • I like how the FO has a BOSE headset and the Capt has DC lol need to swap that around

  • @acdelta57 DC's are awesome. I have a set myself

  • @robnrick11 Completely agree. Most watchers of biz.commercial aircraft vids want to hear the turbines/props.

  • Awesome vid!! What airline? I've always wanted to fly on a Saab!!!!

  • Why so much hate for Drowning Pool? Watching this and listening to the song pumps me up and motivates me. Then again, I enjoy this type of music. :)

  • Excellent job by the 3-striper! However, another excellent video ruined by a distracting sound track.

  • Why have music? ruined it really.

  • Hmmmm So there was electrical devices in operation below 10,000 feet? isn't that illegal?

  • Could someone answer me a couple of quick questions?.

How does the airoplane steer when they are taxiing?.

Does the airoplane have wheel brakes or is it slowed just by reverse thrust?.

When landing/touching down is it the captain who is controlling the decent or are the flaps set too?.

    Thanks and great video.

  • @Njugglesvatn Ground steering in this airplane is made using rudder pedals. This airplane has both wheel brakes and reverse thrust capabilities, and both can be used to slow the airplane down. Flaps are normally set before landing to assist in slowing the airplane down to an appropriate speed for landing. Either the Captain or First Officer can be at the controls during landing. Here in this video it is the First Officer making the landing.

  • @AaronBarthol Thankyou!, this is the kind of information I love to hear about.

I've noticed that when we are about 5-10 mins from landing there is a sudden slow down in the speed as if the crew are easing back on the throttle(s) and I guess this is preparing the landing speed.

  • @Njugglesvatn Whoops! Looks like I provided some misleading information in my response to your questions. Although ground steering in most smaller General Aviation aircraft is made using rudder pedals, ground steering in this aircraft (Saab 340) and most larger transport category aircraft is made using a small steering wheel controlled only by the Captain in the left seat. Probably more detail than you really wanted to know but I didn't want to leave any loose strands out there. :)

  • @AaronBarthol , Hi, no, no this is exactly what I like to hear!.

Thanks so much for the info!.

    :)

  • next time no music man.. great vid however

  • That is Awesome!

  • wouu.. Excelent landing!!!!

  • absolutely aweful music - had to turn it off ! !

  • Why is the pilot -left seat- not wearing his seatbelt? :o

  • best landing video I've seen. Great view of the cockpit and the outside.

  • hey i feel werid askin this but i am tryin to learn how to fly this plane in fs 2004 i have the ffs saab 340 and its close to real but i have a problem with the vor i dont know how to use it really good i flew with it before but not really getting the giff of it so i was wondering if you cud help me out with a video explaning it if you can or no please let me know

  • great video once it was muted

  • Is this IBC Cargo?

  • great video especially because of the music

  • Really great vid, specially because of the camera view!

  • man it seems like it took awhile for there gear to drop and get the green.

  • enjoyed it a lot more after turning volume to 0 on account of crappy music.

  • Good vid mate.

  • awsome video! brings back memories of prolly the best a/c ive ever flown, IMO

  • What airline is this for?

  • I love the song for the video.

  • Is there any chance of re-posting this video without the music?? Good video apart from the music. I like the sound of the Saab 340.

  • loved the video steveo you wont mind makeing some more saab videos please thankz

  • Houston, the screens are going crazy

  • @toocoolforu has to do with the refresh rate of the camera.

  • Living the dream man!, Congratulations on achieving what i never will :(

  • правак красава!

  • I am gonna guess that this is a 767 and very nice video...:)

  • co-pilots head set costs more then my car ಠ_ಠ

  • I AM A MUSICIAN, AND I AM VERY HAPY ABOUT YOUTUBES AUDIO RIGHTS....... WOULD YOU LIKE THAT SOMEONE USE YOUR VIDEO WITHOUT YOUR PERIMISION??? NO.... MUSICIANS DO NOT WANT IT TOO...... BECAUSE THEY MAKE MONEY OUT OF MUSIC...... THEY EAT OUT OF MUSIC... ;)

  • awesome vid!! Had to mute it though

  • nice stuff

  • fantastic!

  • This is an aviation video not a music video, right??

  • that looks so fun to do and easy. but its not easy;p. oh and great vid man not bad music to go with it either.

  • Wtf is Steve-O have to do with this? :P

  • like this if you think they should find a way to stick a gopro on the exterior of the aircraft

  • would have been good to hear cockpit conversation. not crappy music.

  • More videos like this and the music

  • how do you guys turn the plane when taxing?

  • Btthus, small planes like cessna 172s use only the rudder pedals to turn the nosewheel. but for primary low-speed direction control via the nosewheel, airline type planes, including the saab 340 (far as i know), use a tilller -- a hand control located on the captain's left side wall. they may be on both sides, but far as i recall from my aviation geek days, captain always taxis. you see them switch off here after the first officer lands.

  • airplane made of rubber ? ( 02:19 ) Bad CMOS sensor. High wobble effect.

  • whats with the screens changing

  • @ARJHaloRadio they arent changing, all cameras cant film at the same frequency as a display screen, so it looks like the screens are changing

  • Well done for not spilling the content of the coffee cup, near the left arificial horizon.

  • Comment removed

  • The song is by "Seal - If it's in my mind,

  • whats the song. great video by the way

  • good vid but skip the crappy music!!!

  • crapy music for video

  • Enjoyed the video.

  • Just went on one of those! I had to wait for a wheel chair to pick up my dad, so the Co-pilot showed me the cockpit. She said that it was harder to fly that aircraft, it was more demanding since it didn't have a sophisticated auto-pilot like a big airbus or something like that. I personally thought it was easier but when I saw the the Panel I would agree. Would you say it is harder, or easier?

  • @scotplane quite a bit more difficult 'hands-on' flying in the Saab compared to your average jet

  • that looks fun!

  • are these the poor pilots who spend 16hr days at work and get paid F all?

  • Great Vid man... but please reload with no music... if possible...

  • nice landing

  • FUCKING SICK!

  • FUCKING SICK!

  • Yeah Nice video, you greased it! right on the center line.

  • Fantastic video, however ya ruined it with that STUPID music.ATC communications would have been much better.

  • Dude awesome video

  • it looks so easy....

  • Good flying

  • That plane must have some seriously strong wiper arms!

  • Nice video and good work, in the future you might want to ask your Captain to make sure his shoulder harness is on, in my part of the world its a legal requirement!!

  • @kanass69 technically he could make a counter claim saying that it was interfering with his access to the controls... which means he could get away with it.

  • Top video, gives alot of inspiration and motivation to younger pilots in training like myself... thanks guys!

  • Next time, lose the crappy music.... Good video and landing though!

  • Awesome vid, love the turbulence from the trees. Much more interesting and personal than larger aircrafts cockpit videos!

  • Nice Vid! Too bad the frame rate of the gopro matches the refresh rate of your glass...

Thanks... Good Luck in your flying future!

  • Really unnecessary music...

How did you place a tripod?

  • Sorry if it has already been asked, but where did you fixed the camera in the cockpit?

    Thanks

  • @iloveairfrance GoPro has a suction cup mount that comes with the camera. So I mounted the camera to the cockpit door.

  • @steveo1kinevo

the result is really good !! :)

do you think it can work in a bigger cockpit, like Boeing 777?

  • Great vid! Ever tried mounting it to your headset? Might be getting one to record some of my flying lessons and I don't want to be putting mounts in the club's planes.

  • WOW!! Great video!!

  • I'm starting type training for this bird next week, so EXCITED!!

  • @flyboy242 Your going to love the Saab 340. It is one of the most complex aircraft that I have learned how to fly and one of the most fun. Alot of different systems on this bird.

  • @steveo1kinevo Awesome, which airline do you fly for?

  • @flyboy242 I used to fly the Saab 340 for Florida Coastal Airlines. But I now fly a Caravan 208 for a corporate company out of South Florida. I am really enjoying the change of scenery with the new job.

  • @steveo1kinevo Sweet, I'm flying a navajo panther operated out of the bahamas, i cant wait to "feel the power" of the saab lol

  • Very nice! Capt. doesn't believe in the shoulder Harness? lol :P. Great quality video.

  • Good video spoiled by the music.

  • @krebble69 I know what you mean, WMG muted the original sound and I had to pick something off there approved list which totally changed how the video comes across to the viewers.

  • @steveo1kinevo WONDERFUL VIDEO! Beautiful view! I also have a GoPro HD suction cup mount. Will it stick properly on an a320 cockpit door?

  • @steveo1kinevo Just throw a clip from LiveATC's audio archive. Just a thought.

  • @steveo1kinevo Well, I gotta give you credit. At least it wasn't "Let The Bodies Hit The Floor"...

  • Fantastic video!!!!

  • That... was cool!

  • Nice to see a decent quality video, well done. I must agree that the music would be left to the people who have that particular taste.

Why not have the aircraft mechanics make a removable bracket for the undercariage ? I think you could use a cheap multiplexer to show picture in picture ie; the landing from the pilots view main screen and the landing gear on the bottom right of the picture.

    Regards, mitch

  • I dont like it when people play the song over the video like that!!!

  • funny the FO has headsets that cost 4X the amount the David Clerks

  • do you really need to add some music? :(

  • What is the name of the song?

  • what airline do u fly for

  • nice pilot

  • Don't put the camera outside! I like the cockpit but would rather here P>CP communication (intercom) channel. Maybe with ATC?

  • i like the song :) nice

  • wtf is wrong with the instruments :S???

  • Fantastic vid, not one of these many cockpit landing videos where I like to fast-forward to see the touchdown. Nice!

  • I'd rather hear cockpit intercom than the music. Jez, that camera. Gotta get one!

  • Great video - but ditch that "song"

  • Yeah this video is def bad ass. Loved it. Yeah put the camera outside the plane for sure so we can see what's going on.

  • I just got my GoPro and used it in my car. I made a trippy little vid just for kicks and added FC effects. This here is a grea peek into how CRM works in the cockpit. Thanks for sharing.

  • VERY GOOD

  • Well done thanks for sharing

  • Is it autopilote after landning, taking them in to dock? Can´t see them steering on the ground?

  • @Av8trxx I agree...WMG took off my original song so I had to pick something off there "Approved List"...not a fan of WMG, my next video will be the natural sounds of the cockpit.

  • too scary dude ... is that what goes on in a cockpit every time you land? That steering wheel thingy mebob is shaking all over the place. I am not flying again :) You looked relieved once that plane was down ? Anyway, watched the video to get a feel for the GoPro HD, happy with it ?

  • @andreels It's called a control yoke. When you're landing you have to make constant little corrections to the aircraft for wind, changes in configuration such as flaps, gear, etc. Get everything just right and the passengers don't even know you're on the ground.

  • Nice vid. I flew the Saab at Mesaba for 7 years. Miss the ol' bird. Thanks for bringing back great memories!

  • nice video.. I like this aircraft. Learning how to fly it now.. of course in FS2004 not in real.. LOL

  • Hey Steveo, Your Saab videos are the best on Youtube! Keep them coming! Nice work.

  • Steveee was going on, i saw this and i said this looks like the steve that was as PanAm the same time i was there, Hows the flying going?

  • Mount the camera outside the plane!!! Use the suction cup! It'll hold

  • I have actually been thinking about it! LoL Thought it would be a cool view to put it on the bottom/rear of the aircraft to see the landing gear touch down upon landing.

  • assuming its there when you land

  • :)

Naa, tie it on the wipers!

  • @NSRBFLO I think those boys are going a little quicker then 130 mph :)

  • @NSRBFLO Wouldn't you need to clear that with the FSDO first? I've heard of research planes adding external gyro-cams and they had to get FSDO approval. I know that the GoPro has a tiny footprint though..

  • @NSRBFLO you can't be serious?, lol, would be awesome though

  • Wow. As far as quality of the video and positioning of the camera goes, this has to be the best I've seen on YT. But I'd rather hear cockpit noise and radio conversations instead of music.

  • Dont worry my next video is going to be with an all natural sound environment...just waiting for a day of crazy bad weather to land in to make the video more fun!

  • Great video! What is the name of the updated song?

  • Glad you enjoyed the video! No thanks to WMG removing my original song!.. I had to re-add a song that was allowed so the new song is "Drowning Pool - Reminded of you"

  • Once you guys are on the ground how are you steering it?

  • @RanHam335 You use your feet to steer the plane on the ground with the rudder pedals. Those pedals also turn the front wheel on the plane for ground steering.

  • No you don't, not in the saab. The captain steers via a tiller with his left hand. the rudder peddals are not connected to the steering.

  • Oh ok, interesting. The smaller aircraft I have flown don't have these, we just use the rudder pedals.

  • Pretty cool. Was this with the spot metering feature on? The windshield is a bit overexposed, which is uncommon for the GoPro HD. Maybe it's metering off the center pillar? Positioning it off-center in the cockpit with the center meter feature might give better lighting.

  • This was taken with the Center meter on. I just changed the setting to Spot Meter for my next flight to see how it comes out. Thanks for the advise Mike.

  • Very good!

Only one question. What is this song? It is fantastic.

    Thank you for your answer.

  • Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed my video! The song is by "Seal - If it's in my mind, it's on my face".

  • Nice !!!

  • Nice job !

  • Nice quality video and good landing!

I'm doing my ATPL training at the moment, so hopefully will be me in a few years.
