I know the trick. I saw a show which explained it. He uses invisible glasses (Everyone in the pool KNOWS it !! they are part of the magic trick) And it is not a one big glasse all accross the pool ! there is some "hole" where people in the pool can go througt or where Chriss can loose his shoes to make the illusion perfect :)
