Someone please explain this to me. At 1:24 as Yngwie does the gtr spin, you hear a pick slide down the neck, which is impossible. Is he playing along with a gtr track?

My guess is he's playing to a backing track to "fill up" the sound.

he was flicking the selector switch to go from neck to bridge. Most guitarist would use the selector with the right hand, in this case since he's doing an open string rhythm and his left fingers aren't needed as much, they got delegated to selector duties. Plus it's good for show. Yngwie always moves like he's in a constant photoshoot. that's why he's awesome. But if you pause at (0:50) you might not want this on your poster.
