  • Scientists suspect an impact dated -250 M.a. at the North West of the Australia, which is reflected by a perfectly circular sinking of 204 km diameter of the oceanic crust, and denounced by a gravity anomaly perfectly dated. Apart from it, the extinction of mass of this period it is spread over a period of almost 5 M.a. with a peak of extinction at -252.6 M.a., to be precise. Which proves that the meteoric impact is far from being the only one in issue in this extinction, but helped it. Ur frnd.
