  • nice bins

  • Nice collection most pretty rare :D

  • lol nice links (the last 4 lines ;D)

  • oh haha you mean the tabs :D

  • idk how i missed this vid! exellent! im jealous you have those 32 gal rolling rubbermaids! i LOVE those but still dont own any lol. great demonstration on how to remove the lid! i was going to do the same thing but....... i dont own second gen rotos anymore! lol i regret getting ssi. there boring like rehrig. awesome collection too! i just found a huskey crate in my garage the other day too lol. apparently my dad has a bunch of em :D

  • haha they hide around those Rehrig crates ;)

Thanks a billion for the comment, were you referring to the older tan and blue Rubbermaids or the newer dark ones (all with wheels)?

  • We recently moved to a new house (FINALLY, out house was on the market for 2+ years!) We had so many carboard boxes the recycling guy stared for a minute! (He was a substitute driver) He then asked me for help, I was a substitute recycling dude helper guy. (Sorry for the crappy grammar, for some reason I am SO tired!)

  • Wow so these are all the containers that make your waste service possible hey? Well all I can say is that you have a hell of a lot, like 13 manuals > !!! Was that Escondido crate from the previous manual recycling collection and where was that Oceanside crate from? Also noticed you segregated those plastic bottles and cans into two different bins... what's the reason for that? - do you sell them to recyclers? You've got a lot more than I'll ever have!

  • lol yep, or greens at least :) Yeah the EDCO one was not from Esco., but somewhere else outside of the city serviced by EDCO before they went auto, I just found it somewhere so don't know too much of its specific history :D And the Oceanside WM one is from, well, Oceanside! Same thing again, someone gave it to me or something, just about the same thing still used currently by WM in Oceanside. And yes, I sell the aluminum and plastic at recycling centers, another nice source of cash hehehe

  • I wish we had recycle buy back here... I did find All Metal Recycling in PA that will pay me for the Aluminum Cans and Foil... I guess It is still 6 crates to the curb for me...sigh

  • There'd be nothing to narrate, and YT's stuck on their dumb copyrighting limits so I couldn't....

  • You have ALOT of bins. Nice collection.

  • haha thanks, just not your usual ASL cart collection :)

  • Nice Post! It seems more and more refuse fans are posting their containers and recycle bins. I think its interesting to see what other municipalities are using for their recycle and waste programs. Maybe I should post ours? Thanks for sharing!

  • Yeah I noticed that, and figured I might as well (more unique--most users share their carts rather than manual bins)...Might even make a playlist for those vids haha! Sure, I imagine there'd be users here who'd appreciate it, I wouldn't mind seeing something like that myself...Thank you for the comment!!

  • Great Post! I like the different bins you have! I'm baffled that there're milk crate like bins for recycling! I know that NYC uses regular garbage cans for recycling containers! Haven't seen those metal cans at 3:25 in years! The only recycle bins I have are the standard basket like blue & red ones! I just checked the brand: It's made by BuschSystems in Canada! Btw, 5 Stars!

  • Thanks! Yeah I suppose it'd only work most efficiently for newspaper since it's too large to fall out the holes...I think Home Depot sells a newer aluminum/metal can in a smaller size, or used to very recently! Thanks for the stars too, never heard of BuschSystems...

  • cool collection of bins!

  • Thank you

  • Any video of how to remove the lid of a rehrig can would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Well I don't have a Rehrig cart, much less do I know how to.

  • Awesome video. I wonder how the lids on most of those cans got lost. Probably the wind. I should make a video of my bins soon. I've got like 8 carts, and that's my house and my grandparents' house combined. Great job 5 stars.

  • Who ever said all the lids got lost?

  • Oh I figured that they were lost because you didn't have them on some of the cans.

  • Nope, got lids for just about every single bin, just removed most for showing purposes :)

  • You should remove the Roto lid as an excuse for a Rehrig. I never see too many of those in your videos.

  • There's always a few, and you'll see tons more at one place that's almost all Rehrigs since the homes were built more recently. I like the Rotos better, Rehrigs are too common and plus they're 65 gal. size seems much smaller than Roto's

  • Yeah Rotos are small on the bottom and become larger towards the top.

  • True, but it still feels like you can fit more into them than into Rehrigs of the same size. Cardboard, however, is another story....

  • BTW just wondering, what are your favorite manual cans?

  • I think Brutes generally are the strongest, but I like anything that's old and rare like the older tan and light blue Rubbermaids I have :D

  • I have some RARE personal can pictures I took when I was in Newport Beach. I could e-mail them to you if you'd like. When I go back there I'll try to snapshot as many rare cans as possible.

  • @Trashman242 Yeah I wish I had one of those light blue cans too. I have a Gott can, which is said to be a division of Rubbermaid which is no longer in business. It's in one of my videos. And yes, the Brutes, Heavy Duty, and Roughnecks without wheels (NOT the newest black ones) are very strong. All of which, are from Rubbermaid LOL.

  • i have a huskey recycling bin

  • We have 1 32 gal. trash can for garbage 1 64 gal for recycle and 1 96 gal for yard waste. We have a rear loader come buy our house.

  • Cool! You should get vids of the truck, that'd be neat to see!

  • cool!

  • Nice cart video Scott!

  • I'd say there are a few more manual bins than carts in this video :)

  • Wow you have a lot! Looks like many of them are the 32 gallon Rubbermaids with wheels. Why were some of them filled with bottles/ cans? I liked the crates, what do you use those for? Great job too!

  • Yep, love those older wheeled 32 gal. ones...It's because I keep plastic bottles #1 recyc. symbol and alum. cans for the recycling center (usually get about $30-$50 per trip!), plus there's so many bins so it's a use for some of them. I don't always fill that many up per week. The WM crate's used for storage and the EDCO one is kept in good condition and used for nothing lol!

  • LOL I got like $80.00 the last time I went to a recycling center. I collect cans and bottles from my house and the beach's trash containers. It's easy money.

  • Yep, and unfortunately too many other people are figuring that out now as well...I see them ALL the time digging through trash cans in broad daylight even.

  • so you have 17 garbage cans is alex jacksonville

  • nice so many manual bins! its weird you showed how to remove the lid on the roto because amrepmike33 has been trying to teach me but i couldnt figure it out lol. we are doing that to some carts to see if 3rd gen rotos come not schaefers because he saw a cart delivery truck full of 3 gen rotos lol if that made sense

  • lol glad it 'helped' someone :D Ah so Consolidated is switching from Schaefer to newer Rotos? Probably due to the cracking that those Schaefers get...are they 90s or 65s??
