I remember our local tv shop sold us a betamax and the bsb system. Should of bought sky and vhs. Bastards. Though both systems were technically better.
BSB had the best picture quality with a sharp detailed picture in D-MAC format if you viewed thru a RGB Scart equipped TV and a full and lifelike digital stereo sound quality featuring crisp clear treble and good sounding bass(ideal for music and movies and entertainment programming)

@AnthonyUK As far as I know, the DMAC system used a slight variation on the NICAM system for its audio.
