Although I never played Super Castlevania 4, it looks absolutely epic and fun. This is what Castlevania 2 Simon's Quest should've been like. Fun and epic. Oh and not to offend you, but I am going to beat your record in Mega Man 10 or at least die trying.

I think I'm in the minority here, but my vote goes to yes for hard mode. Might not be much different, but you seem to really like this game and I think you could squeeze out some more commentary about whatever Castlevania stuff. Prob not gonna happen though.

I'd rather see a new LP than watch hardmode of the same game, especially when you describe it as almost identical except for a few more enemies. That just sounds like watching the same levels, except they take longer since you have to stop and kill more often.

Figured I'd make my comment about your SotN LP here since its the most recent Castlevania vid. I forgot to comment on this first part. While at first I was also sad you didn't do the whole game, truth be told I actually stopped watching that LP after part 2. You didn't seem as interested in it as you are here so it was probably best you stopped where you did. This LP is awesome so far!

Clement, maybe in the next Castlevania game they should have you as a boss. Instead of fighting, the player must beat your time in Sonic Generations and then in the second phase, they must try and explain why Assassin's Creed: Revelations isn't the same thing over again. Now THAT would be a prick of a boss!

There is at least one other 1up I can think of that you've passed...maybe two. The one I'm sure of was in the river stage after Medusa; near the end of the stage there are some arches that you pass behind and a final bone pillar, if you jump and whip, there's a hidden candle behind one of the arches. I think there also may be one hidden behind the pillars right outside the entrance to the castle.

I feel like the new castlevanias miss out on the feel of the older games.

The older ones, as epic as they were, they were still relatively silly. Simon belmont doesn't use things like a wooden cross or a sword as a main weapon, he strips down to a loincloth and uses a magic whip to beat draculas ass down. It wouldn't be taken seriously if simon wasn't such a badass. Dude makes me want to take classes on how to use whips.

Don't do the hard mode. Without any different ending or major differences, you wouldn't have fun commentating, making the video less enjoyable for everyone. Your best lets plays are on games you like, Sonic 2 for instance.

I would agree with hard mode not being Hard- It takes more time to go through the stage, but actual difficulty not so much. Enemies take slightly longer to defeat, but I never really found myself getting hit any more.
