I searched for this commerical because way back in 1987 my mom taped Mickey's Christmas Carol. It was the first thing she ever taped. I love it and watch it every Christmas. @augustgirl Agreed. I think part of the reason commercials aren't as good anymore is they take up at least 50% of a show's time unlike they used to. And you see the same commercial 100 times a day (I know I'm exaggerating). And the things they are advertising you'd never see done in the 80's.... or the 90's come to think of it.

The commercials of the 80's and early 90's were truly magical, creative, imaginitive, super colorful, whacky and fun, and they just gave you this happy warm fuzzy feeling. Nowadays everything is incredilby boring, uncreative, half assed, playing it safe, office-like and far too hallow and serious....it truly is depressing. Thank god for youtube where I can see all of my favorites ;)

@waynejawspp There's some good news, though- a majority of Liberals polled side with us on the Christmas thing. I try reaching out to Liberal friends I have on this one- and they all support Christmas. One of my best friends is a gay neo-pagan who I agree with nothing on politically, with the exceptions of the 2nd amendment and (gasp) Christmas. He is one of 3 pagans I know that love Christmas, so maybe there is hope in the world.

If there is any sensitivity or controversy about the use of the word Christmas, it was created by Fox News, mostly through invented anecdotes meant to inspire anger and a sense of victimhood that sadly you and others have fallen for. The very fake "war on Christmas" meme propagated by conservative media have politicized Christmas and infused it with anger and bitterness, not "left wing, whinny fucks."

There's a difference between starting and issue and confronting an issue that no one wants to talk about. The issue started when people starting getting offended by "Christmas", "Merry Christmas" and Have a "Blessed Christmas." These are the ones who started it.

I remember this christmas commercial on tv in the 1980's. This one is a Classic in the 1980's. i have all different christmas classic's and this one is it and many others. Thanks for posting this on youtube because this brings me back when i was younger in the 1980's.

I searched for this commerical because way back in 1987 my mom taped Mickey's Christmas Carol. It was the first thing she ever taped. I love it and watch it every Christmas. I always love watching this commerical on the tape. I wish commericals were like this now because this commerical gives me that little excitement for Christmas inside! Yes I know... I'm lame :)

The 7UP commercial with the cotton ball Santa calendar, the other 7UP one with the elves playing in the snow, a couple Snuggle ones, an m&m commercial with a kid bringing her list to a store Santa & giving himsome red & green m&m's with a tree on it instead of an 'm', & the Isotoner gloves one are the ones I remember being on the tape.

There was a Christmas commercial that I am trying to find, does anyone know what it is? It shows a wall, I think its a green wall, with a hook thing on it. Somebody tries to pull the hook off, and when they do, they tear the wallpaper and get really mad. I think it's a commercial for hooks that don't tear your wallpaper.
