@SteGeo94 it is like maximus with presets it is crap stop using it, learn compression for real and limiting, take some time to read it up totally as it is a complex subject. Ideally you will want to compress a sound before applying any FX or EQ.
@SteGeo94 So you make a nice lead sound and you don't allways need to compres it however sometimes it can give you a snapper/punchyer sound which you might like, so plug in a compressor and play with the attack release, leave make up gain till last after you EQ and add FX... However always trust your ears, a sound can sound better sometimes if compression is applied after FX pads are one example but not always, just try learning compression and then applying it to effect sound in a creative way

It should be somewhere on your mixer channels, if you select it
It just boosts your sounds and makes them sound...well...good :P haha
