  • how much difference is there between a 300wsm and a 300win mag? in power and speed?

  • @longsnipz Slower and weaker, 200fps and 500ft/lbs depending on the load and weight

  • @ramdslpwr

sorry about that comment. i just get worked up sometimes.

  • @zombkiller123 my dad has both a 300 weatherby mag and a 300 wsm...i agree the 300 weatherby mag has more power and better ballistics, but the 300 wsm has more powder behind the bullet, just making it travel faster...its a powerful cartridge, its penetration and speed being between a .308 and a 300 win mag. its nothing to laugh at. haha

  • @SwaggerUSMCSniper

im sorry for being suck a hothead. i understand your thinking

  • @zombkiller123 I think you should go back to playing COD fighting Zombies. 300 WSM has one of the best bullet dynamics out there. I've had great success with that round through my Browning BAR at close to 500 yrds. 300 weatherby mag is a fine round as well but completely unnecessary when hunting mule deer.

  • u should have shot it again........ it was in a lot of pain and u jus let it die painfully

  • @zombkiller123 Yep, and for the price of that one shot in .300 Weatherby Mag he could have bought a sirloin steak dinner and stayed home. I'm sure that doe wasn't like "man... I would be so much deader if that round had been travelling just 300 fps faster." I hate it when uneducated people start trying to find something to knit-pick about. and the Short mad definitely has the weatherby beat for potential accuracy.

  • That was a poor shot. Don't take the shot if you're not sure of ethical and easy kill.

  • @ss19800 when you hit a deer good with a well place shot they have a tough time staying on their feet? I mean you did see it hit right? that was right through the front of the chest. It was a great shot.

  • I hope you guys ate these deer, or at least gave them to someone who would.

  • When you rewound it i thought the doe rolled UP the hill, i was like WTF

  • that was a good shot, all the douce bags out there that think everything dies the second you make a clean shot haven't had alot of experience even with a clean shot the brain still has enough blood to operate for awhile.

  • She tripped and fell to her death; you all saw it! jk. Cool vid!

Is that the Remington Sendero? What load? How far was the shot?

  • .......pre tenderized

  • why would u not go for the buck

  • @adver011 Way too small plus he had filled his buck tag several minutes earlier. DNRC looks very narrowly on guys shooting two bucks..... and for all the haters on not being able to tell buck from doe, That was the camera guy talking. Try looking through the small 2" viewfinder on a camera in bright daylight and tell which one is buck or doe within 5 seconds of seeing them.

  • @ramdslpwr nice shoot man. cant wait for this rifle season from PA.

  • @ramdslpwr nice shoot man. cant wait for this rifle season from PA.

    and i own a 300 WSM sweet

  • @TheMeanGuy100 It just has to do with the season. Some seasons are ment to just shoot doe, others just buck. It's the way they reproduce. They wouldnt want all the bucks dead. It just evens out the sexes

  • That mule took a tumble

  • wow, good way to make a steady patient clean shot...NOT. maybe if you would have waited for a good broad side shot you could have killed her and not the roll down the hill. Im no armchair hunter either.

  • LIKE ALWAYS PUTTING THE SHELLS WHEN THEY'RE ABOUT TO SHOOT WASTE IF TIME

  • For a seconds, I was all 'WOAH! Shes rollin UP the hill!" And then it hit me.

  • @TheMeanGuy100 maybe because he didn't have a tag????

  • @TheMeanGuy100 Perhaps it was a "managed" hunt?

  • i have i 300 weatherbee short magnum the kick is nice

  • If the future of hunting is in the hands of people who treat deer like prarie dogs and take a shot in any situation we're all up shit creek. The problem isn't that your deer took five seconds to die, deer are tough and take awhile to die sometimes. My problem is that you could have easily waited for a better opportunity to shoot and you didn't. Just because it worked out this time doesn't mean it will in the future. People who vote watch this stuff, be concious of that when you post videos.

  • lmfao

  • @BasNoAnBua dumbass.

  • I am so fed up with these arm Chair beer hunter making stupid comments, t the only thing they have killed in their hole life was a 24 pack of beer !

I have been a international professional Hunting for 28 year , I have and hundreds of my clients have made the best shots on game that never go down with one and even the second shot .

Its just the nature of shooting game animals some have a stronger will to live than others .

  • @Moldovawineimporter Dittos. If the future of hunting is in the hands of these losers then we have a problem. Never knew there were so many stupid hunters around till I started posting videos. I get hate comments all the time with many of them not being fit to read and all the while all of my videos, except one, show the animal dying in seconds. Not sure how you can improve on that record.... Maybe I should take hemitime03's advice and get him to "Smith" me a 338 Ultramag. LMHO

  • @ramdslpwr I have invested in a $10.000 custom made 8mm x378 Weatherby mag !

With a 30" barrel, 185 Barns x leave the muzzle at 4200fps over my chronograph. I have had one Elk just plan vanish from a lung shot with this gun and a small Black tail deer took 3 rounds from this gin then vanished into the woods never to be found by 7 of us scouring the hillside !

Anyone who has killed a good number of game knows animals don't always fall dead like they should when shot even in the right area !

  • @ramdslpwr Say we need to send all these idiots over to the archery hunting video's, that will given then a hole lot to complain about seeing animals run off stuck in the guts and in the ass with arrows !

Oregon state just finished some research on archery hunting that shows 85% of Elk shot by Archery hunters state wide are never recovered and deer 60% are not recovered .

Now that is a style of hunting that needs a serious crack down on knuckle heads flinging arrows at everything they see !

  • @ramdslpwr Sorry man, but the truth is that this guy took a rushed shot. The doe rolled down the hill breaking legs still alive. The stupid hunters are the ones that take shitty shots like this one and by the audio I heard couldn't tell that the deer sniffing ass was the buck..that's obvious without needing to look for antlers. I was lucky enough to be taught by my father at a young age that making a clean kill is the most important part of taking an animal. Period.

  • that was a badd ass vid fuck all u haters!!!!

  • @ramdslpwr That is an unethical shot because any slight deviation would result in a wound, not a kill. Being fortunate and being wise aren't always the same thing.

  • @BasNoAnBua Um a slight deviation. thats funny because WHENEVER you take a shot, thats what it is. a slight deviation from a kill to a wound. given the round hes shooting and the .47 seconds to target. Id say he did a pretty good job.

  • absolutely glad I didn't have to haul that one out with you guys. Whew.

  • that comment is meant for that hemitime03 retard!

  • Man i dont know who some of these people are lol.. I like how people comment and hate when they know NOTHING. One it was a GREAT shot! There is no better spot for that bullet! straight through the front left shoulder and out midway through the right side ribs! STRAIGHT through all the vitals! The deer spazed from hydro shock (hydrostatic). Its the pressure from the bullet impact and deformation. it hit a small spot but obliterated a 6in. radius of organs on entry! JACK ASS.

  • why didnt you shoot the buck?

  • @mastashit345 there were much bigger bucks in the area and in mt you only get one buck a year. gotta make it count!

  • Which is better 300mag or 7mm mag

  • hahaha thats awsome in slo-mo...i use a 180gr in .300 wsm and it drops everything with one shot..300 is the best caliber!

  • i give u the benifit of the doupt... nice shot

  • dumb fuck shot the cow!!

  • man i would have tookin out tht buck behind tht doe i like to hunt bucks its my favorite game 2hunt

  • you could shoot hi at the head, or shoot twice to the animal don't suffer or feel pain.

  • Why do you wear camoflage everything and a bright red vest. Doesn't make sense?

  • @davec3487 sum places are required to wear red or orange vest so other hunters can see u

  • @hemitime03 A bad shot??lol! the shot took out the shoulder and heart....i know because i'm the "butthole brother" who shot and butchered the deer. this doe lived maybe 10-15 sec following the shot. how many vitally shot deer have you watched? any pro or novice hunter knows a deer can run hundreds of yards with a blown out heart and collapsed lungs. And finally what does your gun have to do with the hate comment? LMAO!

  • @tytnjen A little bit sensitive are you? All the animals i shoot never run over 25 yards if that far.Seems to be alot of feedback from other folks regarding the same issues i have with you. The animal you shot did'nt run it rolled down a hill. See the difference. You should'nt have made so much adoo about your your 300WSM if you did'nt want a challenge.Don't forget to wear your helmet on the short bus.

  • @hemitime03 And after all that you're still admitting your deer run 25 yards but mine didn't run at all? a lot of feedback?...check out the highest ratings section.

  • @hemitime03 lol your a fkn idiot...I dont see anything about him making " so much adoo" about anything other than the fact that he dropped that doe on her face...all I hear is you being a douche bag trying to talk up your self smithed 338 RUM...which by the way I would put a stock savage 300 WSM up against your trash and make you look stupid...so maybe you should get over your little man syndrome cause you sound as gay as a football bat.

  • @hemitime03 LOL Another guy trying to make up for his small size somewhere else by shooting a big gun....... Tsk Tsk Tsk Tsk. I guess some folks can't have it all.......

  • @hemitime03 actually it was a great shot considering the angle, time, and elevation

  • @hemitime03

Dumbass, It was a great shot right through the heart! I have shot many deer and some of them have been shot right through the heart and ran hundreds of yards.

  • @hemitime03 the only time i would use a 338 is when i hunt moose you fucking asshole

  • I thought you were hunting bucks so I was like wtf... then oh doe tag. Nice video.

  • Why is the buck still standing. You had lots of time to get them both. Good think she was on a hill. I have the same gun. I shoot 180 grain just to be sure. She shouldn't have moved if the shot is placed properly. I shot a moose at 400 and didn't move, it hit the ground in its tracks. Keep practicing you will do better next time.

  • a complete waste of power... a fucking doe?

  • @FUwogs cant eat the horns guy

  • you guys should stick with BB guns!! Geez!!!

  • poor deer was so scared he rolled all the way back up just to get shoot again. cool.

  • wonderful shot

  • Poor shot angle - why not wait till she was broadside?

  • @guybaxendale wut does it matter he got a one shotk ill ne wayz

  • Just FYI, the buck is the one with antlers. haha I'm just teasing nice shot & happy hunting!

  • lmao @ 0:33

    Classic self debate.

  • I guess I'm the only one who noticed you missed vitals & only blew out the far shoulder. It worked I guess... I would have put another round in her to finish her off though... just in case the fall didnt snap her neck. those must have been some tender steaks.

  • No broken neck so far as we could tell in butchering, and sorry, but the heart was blown up. That's the advantage of the bigger 300 WSM. The hydraulic shock of even a marginal hit will devastate the surounding tissue. The bullet struck the front left side and continued through the front of the vitals and broke the far shoulder

  • It looks like he shot the chest blowing out the right shoulder.

If anything he only hit 1 lung. nobody can hit their intended target 100% of the time.

I dont doubt the power & devostation of the 300 wsm, I just noticed the impact of the shot missing the left shoulder completely. no biggie, I just have a thing about ethical shots. to each his own.

  • Why hit a shoulder at all? It looks like the deer took it in the chest and he hit an off shoulder. That's a bonus to me if he's trying to anchor it. Otherwise, why waste meat on a shoulder shot? That deer isn't suffering. Center chest through the off shoulder is fatal. Probably destroyed a lung and maybe even the top of the heart.

  • You usin the new federals, cause i have the same gun and those federals have dropped every deer ive shot

  • Remington Core lokt 120 grain

  • Nice, ive had good success with the 180 grain barnes triple shocks. never shot a 120 but it looks like it puts it on em good!

  • @ramdslpwr There is no such thing as 120gr .300 WSM ammunition.

  • @almasi72 Your right. My bad. It was 150 Grain

  • Very good video. I just recently purchased a .300 WSM and absolutely love it. This video is a good testament to the ballistics and foot pounds of devastation. Good shot, don't think you would've had any better opening in that terrain.

Not the best presented shot, but you proved you could get the job done with what you were given! Excellent post, hope to see more videos of this .300 WSM in action.

  • Thanks, That is a definate advantage in the 300 vs a lighter cartridge like the 243 etc. Both will kill the deer but the 300 will take a less then ideal angle and anchor the deer there. Check out my other videos. I have at least three other vids of deer falling to this rifle.

  • nice shot

and "disavowd101" a clean shot doesnt have to be broadside

  • Very impressive!

  • good shot what make is the rifle it looks like a 700 XCR

  • Yes it's the XCR in the 300 wsm

  • Comment removed

  • I agree, patience young padawan. Wait for that broadside shot where you know you will kill the animal. Lungs and heart!

  • That was a horrible shot... very rushed

  • What do you mean that was a horrible shot? That dropped the doe and it never even heard the boom. what more can you ask for? The animal didnt suffer it was a clean kill and he didnt shoot the buck haha.

  • It got shot front side first off, second off, it rolled a hill, third, it was kicking after it rolled 200 feet down a draw.... A clean shot would have laid it down and been a Broadside shot through the lungs and heart.

  • @disavowed101 he had buck fever man why everyone hatin on this video thats all im seein

  • dude you didnt need to be an asshole and rewind that and do slow mo im ptreety sure we all saw it yes i am a hunter but really dude come on no need to rewind and do slow mo just disrespectful to the deer

  • Whats the differance between this and a slow mo shot. No disrespect meant for the deer. Just never saw a tumble like that before and wanted to see it again. Don't watch the slo mo part if you don't like it.

  • I've probably killed over 5000 animals in my hunting life but I would never post a video of "death" on youtube or anywhere else. It's something a real hunter should keep between him, the animal, God and the nature, and no one else. Not even horns on the wall.

Just my opinion, maybe I'm wrong.

  • i totally agree man

  • what so bad about the slow-mo..deer is dead anyway don't think she is gonna take any disrespect by it..

  • .300 win mag is an all around better cartrige. .300 WSM doesn't live up to the ballistic claims that they made, plus you can get .300 win mag ammo easier. I'd choose neither though and go with .270

  • hey dipndots12..I've been wanting to talk to someone thats knows something about the .300 WSM I got a buddy thats selling one for a decent price but I've heard that same comment more then once..what else you know about them?..

  • i got one, they're incredible

  • Everything I've ever shot was DRT. I've been using a .270 for 27 years and nothing has even put up a struggle exept for the 300 lb hog I killed with it. He ran a few steps. I figured the 300 WSM would have killed her on impact.

  • LOL ANOTHER FALL the fall kills i tell you THE FALL KILLS!

  • great shot but respect the game, the producer did not do a good job

  • Fuck, Great shot. Loved it when she tumbled

  • me too, would have loved it more you could see the bones breaking as she tumbled and it would be nice to hear her scream and cry.

  • wow dude.wayyyyyy to far.

  • No need to thank me. Was just trying to place you. I just saw M.K. yesterday out here in Texas. He and his dad flew in to pick up his Lexus that he bought on eBay.

  • Man I hope y'all didn't have to drag that critter back up that hill.

Hey, you ain't the guy that I mailed a camera too for M.K. in NC a couple months ago are you?

  • Yes we did drag it up the hill. That wasn't half as bad as the buck my bro shot in another video. In the begining of this vid you can see the cliff straight ahead and a little to the left, they drug his big muley up that hill. I got video of it. Mabee I'll post it. Oh and yes I am that guy. Thanks.

  • damn

  • nice i love it... i love my 300 wsm

what tipe of bullet was u shooting

  • 150 grain Remington corelock

  • nice, i love how everyone insists that rem corelock is shit. Works here i guess
