I was going to make a comment about the guns but only been watchign from Christopher Eccleston so the other doctors could've used guns for all i know lol tennant was my fave doctor and i did cry when he announced that he wouldn't be doing any more series (yes i'm sad) but i will give matt smith a chance cos otherwise i will be stopping watching one of my fave tv shows and its just not worth it
I like the series, and I have thought that Matt looked really pale and goofy until I saw this video again. Maybe it's makeup, or lighting or something, but at the ~50 second mark, he's kneeling and looks up and says, "Trust me, I'm the Doctor." That's the best look and line I've seen out of the guy yet.
A bunch more like that and I won't be cheering for his death.

But think; was the Tenth Doctor at all like the Ninth Doctor? Because the Ninth was perfectly happy to use weapons (see 'Dalek'). Therefore I hardly think Matt Smith firing off a flare gun is going to ruin the entire series and legacy of Doctor Who. Besides, how many times has this show contradicted itself?

I was really blown away with Moffat's writing of past episodes, but I very, VERY much hope things don't go TOO dark; That Love & Joy are remembered while exploring Fear & Loathing. But this trailer looks really promising, so I've probably got nothing to worry about. It's just TV show, after all.
As for the Daleks well it would be a sin to get rid of them, as long as the new writer doesn't keep hitting the 'reset' button. That was one of if not the worst part of 'Journey's End'

Looks good. Notice the two Daleks shown are not the 9th and 10th Doctor-era Daleks. The first one is gray which is the old school early Daleks (like in Genesis of the Daleks with Tom Baker) and then second Dalek looks like a white Imperial Dalek, which could suggest that we could see Davros again.

It is River Song and if you go back and watch that episode what she said was 'Your Eyes, this is the youngest I've seen you' so I imagine after all he's been through even a younger actor now he'd still be too world weary in the eyes.
i think the doctors screwed up sonic screwdriver gets repaired by the doctor and gives it river song as a going away present (he's going not her) also his sonic screwdriver was n his pocket when he was regenrating and messed up the tardis pretty bad so yay new tardis
Wow, thank you so much for posting this AngelTheLonely. I'm really looking forward to the new series, as though I enjoyed parts of RTDs time running the show, the parts I enjoyed the most were usually those written by Stephen Moffat. RTD at times was a little to self-gratifying and fanwanky with his scripts, while Moffat's have always been original and somewhat reminiscent of the original series (save for The Doctor kissing everyone, but I'm willing to let that slide). In Moffat We trust!
Does anyone else also think that David did some really amazing acting in the last episode? I thought it was amazing the way he was really emotional :)
I also think that 2010 will be awesome, even from that clip Matt Smith looks like he's doing a good job.

I hate the new logo, i use to watch rewinds of the old school doctor on PBS several yrs ago, well ok just 20yrs ago. but that logo is a classic, why r they changing it? Matt doesn't look like he can cute it but I will give him a chance because it took awhile for David to grow on me after Eccelston left. What big shoes to follow after the the amazing acting job that David put on.
I'm looking forward to Matt Smith's Doctor, I liked him the moment he arrived in the Tardis. He was funny and full of life. The tenth regeneration was getting really unhappy, he thought he wanted to die only to realise near the end he loved what he did too much to die yet. I think he yelled 'Geronimo' 'cause he was so glad to still be alive :-D

The things in doctor who that i am actually scared of is: Slitheen and lonely assasins Slitheen is uncomforting they are so ugly!
Ugh. David Tennant is an astounding actor and kept Doctor Who good and fresh in his own light, but he is not better than Ecclestone who was key in relaunching the series, neither Ecclestone better than him but I much preferred the ninth doctor to the tenth, and if you watch the episodes together you'll see why.
Matt Smith is going to be another amazing actor I think, neither better or worse than his predecessors
because he wouldn't have gotten the place if he wasn't perfect, but it's his actual character that makes the difference, and from what I can see he's going to be wicked without being lovesick like the tenth doctor (which is where that doctor's problems are as a character)

No neither can I !! =] Though to be honest with you I was really looking forward to Paterson Joseph as the Doctor! I don't know if you watch it but he plays the boss In Peep Show and he ppplayed the villain in the DT episode of DW where he was working in the school undercover with Rose.

Gibzen: It's not like Doctor Who airs on Cartoon Network. They've had nightmare fuel, guns, countless deaths, etc and it hasn't made a difference to BBC America so far, so it probably won't now.
not only on cartoon newtowk. other shows. they even cut some stuff in movies. like, for example, when a sword goes thru a person, they only show the moment when both ppl get close together. they don't show that part were the blood comes out of the body. TNT and TBA and SYFY do this a lot.
They CENSOR things when they're on basic cable, but they don't cancel them. Hell, look at Heroes, NBC was airing episodes where the top of the person's head was chopped off.
And it's not the channels that want to censor, it's the advertisers.

I reckon that the inside the tardis as changed as it looks like Matt Smith is about to enter the tardis saying "What have you got for me this time" meaning that the inside of the tardis has changed.

Hmmm, old school Darleks, possible ice warriors, and from the looks of that ray gun Silurians... cant wait, hope they dont over redesign the Silurians though, they where my fav creatures as a kid watching pertwee's doctor. From the looks of the grey one on the left, they've streamlined em. Pitty since the ancient Silurians where damn scarey looking, wonder if they'll bring back their pantomime seahorse of doom.
Really looking forward to this series. will have to wait till September down here :(

I loved Chris and David, and I'm sure I'll love Matt, too. (But Nine is always going to be my favorite. D:) I think people need to give him a chance--the Doctor regenerates. And he has since the sixties, so stop whining.

I really hope people will give Matt a chance. David was indeed brilliant but he's passing the torch now. He's wished Matt luck and I hope David's fans can follow his example and give Matt some well-wishes.
I don't know how he'll be as the Doctor but I think she'll do a magnificent job. I've loved him in everything else I've seen so I have full confidence in him.

I was really blown away with Moffat's writing of past episodes, but I very, VERY much hope things don't go TOO dark; That Love & Joy are remembered while exploring Fear & Loathing. But this trailer looks really promising, so I've probably got nothing to worry about. It's just TV show, after all.

It looks interesting. Good that weeping angels are back. It was one of most fantastic episodes which I ever seen. I'm definitely not fan of Matt Smith as the Doctor, but I'm looking forward to work of Steven Moffat as lead writer. He's hell of a writer, I tell you! :)

Looks good. Notice the two Daleks shown are not the 9th and 10th Doctor-era Daleks. The first one is gray which is the old school early Daleks (like in Genesis of the Daleks with Tom Baker) and then second Dalek looks like a white Imperial Dalek, which could suggest that we could see Davros again.

Geronimo was an american native chieftain. Back in world war II they were training paratroopers and they saw a movie where Geronimo yells his name out defiantly. for some reason it caught on. It does not replace 'what. what? WHAT?' which originated with the sixth doctor Collin Baker, not Tennant anyways. It replaces Tennants "Allons-y" obviously, and I don't think it's lame, but brilliant. "Geronimo!' at least it's american cultural meaning sums up All the doctors incarnation attitudes

It is River Song and if you go back and watch that episode what she said was 'Your Eyes, this is the youngest I've seen you' so I imagine after all he's been through even a younger actor now he'd still be too world weary in the eyes.

Wow, thank you so much for posting this AngelTheLonely. I'm really looking forward to the new series, as though I enjoyed parts of RTDs time running the show, the parts I enjoyed the most were usually those written by Stephen Moffat. RTD at times was a little to self-gratifying and fanwanky with his scripts, while Moffat's have always been original and somewhat reminiscent of the original series (save for The Doctor kissing everyone, but I'm willing to let that slide). In Moffat We trust!

Anyway the new series looks epic and I'm sure Matt Smith will do the role justice, even though he has pretty big footsteps to follow. I can't wait for spring now :)

I hate the new logo, i use to watch rewinds of the old school doctor on PBS several yrs ago, well ok just 20yrs ago. but that logo is a classic, why r they changing it? Matt doesn't look like he can cute it but I will give him a chance because it took awhile for David to grow on me after Eccelston left. What big shoes to follow after the the amazing acting job that David put on.

I'm looking forward to Matt Smith's Doctor, I liked him the moment he arrived in the Tardis. He was funny and full of life. The tenth regeneration was getting really unhappy, he thought he wanted to die only to realise near the end he loved what he did too much to die yet. I think he yelled 'Geronimo' 'cause he was so glad to still be alive :-D

People are critiscing the new doctor i think, you can't judge after only a few minutes of him, He looks quite good but, Tennant and Baker were the best. He has a gun and he is punching people :O Wow this doctor is a little more violent! I am looking forward to the 2010 series. I have a feeling it will be great with the daleks and the lonely assasins (Weeping Angels)
The things in doctor who that i am actually scared of is: Slitheen and lonely assasins Slitheen is uncomforting they are so ugly!

Ugh. David Tennant is an astounding actor and kept Doctor Who good and fresh in his own light, but he is not better than Ecclestone who was key in relaunching the series, neither Ecclestone better than him but I much preferred the ninth doctor to the tenth, and if you watch the episodes together you'll see why.
Matt Smith is going to be another amazing actor I think, neither better or worse than his predecessors

i didnt think id like david after christopher but he was great and prooved me wrong but im deffinatly not gonna judge before i watch matt smith--i think he will be brilliant! :D

They CENSOR things when they're on basic cable, but they don't cancel them. Hell, look at Heroes, NBC was airing episodes where the top of the person's head was chopped off.
And it's not the channels that want to censor, it's the advertisers.
