Perhaps one of the greatest mistakes in the history of product placement was Lamborghini partnering with Titus. Instead of going with Gremlin and Kemco and officiating the use of their cars they chose to shack up with a dubious posse that ended up making a Top Gear clone.

So we end up with lousy game with official Lamborghini cars, and a godly game featuring dubious Lamborghini clones.

We missed out on what could have been among the best licensed games ever.

Is there a contemporary game LIKE topgear2 (when wrecks slow your upgradable vehicle down)? Most racing games I see now days have re-spawning standard vehicles if they crash (which I find boring and too unrealistic).

From what I can remember, this is the only racing game where I don't need to hit brake at all. Just accelerate, steering wheel and NITRO OD!!

anyone know how the heck you refuel in this one? What do you look for on the side of the track??? I've tried stopping at darn near everything.

There is no refueling in this one. The only thing you can do is buy a better transmission to keep the RPM's down. Even so, I've gotten the fuel level so low, I never really ran out of gas.

@thesmashingbrawls In Top Gear 2, you can go across the world to many countries, upgrade your car , change colors, you can also change the contorls or you player name. There is many, many tracks spreading across 16 different countries, you will never find one the same. You can go over speeds of 250 mph cruising with 19 other racers on a track. There is many different countries to explore from the U.S. to Italy and many more with famous locations aswell. You won't be dissapointed. Have fun !

@09Alpacino09 dont forget the graphical stuff. the second one have not the atmosphere like the first one and the cars in the first one are good detailed . but the biggest shit was that the second top gear game doesnt have the car selection like the first part . there are so many differences between the first and second one which shows that the first one was really the best Top gear game ever . but why are the other parts of top gear so shitty ? =/

I've been a gamer long back since the Commodore64 days and I love racing games. But this game was stuck in the lost video game years for racing. I mean, the grapichs are better (not that much) than old classics like PitStop or PolePosition but not as exciting and for the next generation SNES was supposed to be the graphics on this one didn't appeal to me. The racing genre resurrected from the latest 90s with NEED FOR SPEED and TEST DRIVE.

there was 2 glitches in this game, when you skid, the music stops, and when you play 2 players and one of them buys a new engine, during the race the sound of the other player's engine changes, it's the wrong one!

Dude you know you dont have to slow down for that 1 turn there, just cut in close before you take each one and taking hard righ at the beginning of the track every time will make sure you dont hit that car at the start :D just a few tips.
