  • 2:50 or so-

    4 turbo superchargers

*facepalm* some people don't know anything about FI

  • Now... put that drive train in something a tad lighter, say a caterham superlight or ariel atom chassis.

Stupid, you say? or Stupid amounts of awesomeness!

  • @otters72

lol that would be awesome, but all it would do is wheel spin, theoretically if you were to put an ariel atom next to the "w16" powered caterham the ariel atom would pull away with ease :) but nevertheless awesome

  • It is indeed a track more suitable for powerful car but nevertheless the Veyron did a good job considering she is heavy as hell and wasn't built to corner like a Elise.

Sure there are supercars with a lot less power who can go faster but it does not mean that the Veyron is slow or corner badly.

It ridiculous to say so when every journalist who tried it say it really is good even in cornering.

  • Awesome

  • Everyone talking about how a V8 turbo could make more power than a Bugatti does with double the cylinders needs to think about the fact that the Veyron can be driven all day, around a track, to the grocery store, leisurely or aggressively. If you had a V8 with that much power it would be noisy as hell, probably not street legal, hard (if not terrifying) to drive, and would DEFINITELY not corner well, and would probably have to have drag radials just to attempt to get traction.

  • @bnm5015 The veyron weighs over 2 tonne. It cannot corner well and has bad high speed stopping power regardless of its giant disc brakes especially on a tight track. Even at relatively low speeds and has a sensitive pedal making daily driving very difficult as claimed by Jeremy Clarkson after he spun out on a few left turns driving on public roads.

  • @XenoRacing It corners so bad indeed it's one of the faster car on Top Gear's track. How funny.

  • @Duron13 have you seen the layout of the topgear track? Long straight aways with short corners. Vehicles with equal power had superior results.

  • @bnm5015

Balance, stability, smoother reving, that all about multi-cylinder engines. Also Bugatti engine block can withstand 3000bhp.

  • no it says "turbo supercharger" i know it 4 turbos

  • Good video bad comenting.y cant you girls take ur personal issues to personal messages???

  • @TheShamiester STFU

  • Comment removed

  • @ketaq u stfu

  • @TheShamiester just shut up and go away

  • @ketaq ok fine

  • It must be a pain in the fucking ass to work on that engine..

  • @LPWWE06 if u can afford one i dont think you care =p

  • Never take advantage of that kind o power!!!Or bad happenings

  • turbo supercharger?

  • @skater4circa940 turbo and 4 of em

  • @skater4circa940 that's the real name of a turbo, the word turbo is just a shortening of turbocharger, in turn a shortening of turbo supercharger. it is technically classified under a supercharger as it is a form of forced induction, but the turbo aspect is derived from its focus in the turbines in the system, given the source of power is turbines being spun by the exhaust.

  • @showbutdonttell whereas a supercharger is directly connected to the crankshaft and spun by that, plus the way they compress incoming air is different

  • @showbutdonttell turbosupercharger is an old term, i would not say its the "real" name of a turbocharger. its all semantics, but no one uses the term turbo-supercharger anymore. Its either a turbocharger, or a supercharger. If you were to say "my car has a turbo-supercharger" people would either think you are a fool, or you have an engine that has both forms of forced induction. If you had a turbo, and said that, you would need to explain yourself, and come off as kind of a douche.

  • if u dont wanna argue then dont cuz i dont want to hear it so how bout u go back to gettin fucked by the manager at the acura place since thats wat u do.... the only thing u know about cars is driving stick, because u practice on ur moms dick.....

  • MASTERPIECE!

  • so im graduated from uti, and work on BMWs so i know mo about european cars, so idk what butt budy ur talking about so how bout you stop hattin because for one if ur dumb ass would look at the comments you would notice that i used turboed honda engines as an example so u basically made ur self sound like a Bugatti cock rider, and it only proves that ur only good at starting shit so fuck off... maybe u need to use a lil bit of ur brain cause u dont need much to keep ur self from being stupid

  • @PR3LUDESI UTI, nice name drop. Oh, and I didn't start talking shit. You are the one who got all dick bent about one comment I made. Highly doubt you work on BMWs with the way you talk, unless they are Big Mexican Women.

  • @Reaper6207 wow, good come back now wipe it off ur face.... plus so wat if i write like this wat difference does it make cock sucker?....

  • @PR3LUDESI Wipe what off my face? Your sisters pussy juice? And if this is the way you WRITE then it really is unlikely that you work on any cars. What do you write down on the work orders?

aded mo coolent , possbly radiator leek.

powa steerin rak is goin bad

my vtech goes pop like boom

blah blah blah I don't even give a fuck anymore. Not wastin my time arguing with some 13 year old wanna be fast and furious douche.

  • IF Honda built a W16 then all the Honda owners would take claim that Honda made it just like VVT. It's obvious you are a Honda owner talking shit like a little punk ricer. You think Hondas are the best? Alright, what highly renown automotive sports have they proven themselves in? F1 a few times sure but I would like to see how well a honda rice grinder would do in a rally...oh wait Honda doesn't do rally so go pop that vtec in your butt-buddy's ass.

  • these engines are not a new idea, the English firm Napiers, did them in the 20/30,s

and for engines for the road, of high HP, not much is said about a very uncomplicated Bristol V8 [US V8] with a work over that easily beats the Veyrons power out put

    look up Bristol Fighter T

  • buggati engine - 4 turbos= 400 or less hp

  • @PR3LUDESI no not true. Those are fairly low boost turbos

  • @smccoy311281 it may be true but a turbo on a honda at about 24 psi can easily pass 400-500 hp imagine what 4 turbos at say 8 psi could do....

  • @PR3LUDESI true true

  • @PR3LUDESI Being completely untunable and possibly blowing a honda motor. Never compare that rice grinder to a BUGATTI!

  • @Reaper6207 man if honda built a w16 engine it would ass rape the Bugatti plus i bet u dont even know how it all works so shut the fuck up u dick riding bitch....

  • @PR3LUDESI BTW, you misspelled Bugatti ass wipe. It's in the title.

  • @Reaper6207 ur a dip shit bloody tampon milk shake i spelt Bugatti right stupid ass

  • @PR3LUDESI 400hp or less on this masterpiece machine? You truly ARE a Honda owner. I bet YOU don't know how a motor like this works, or any motor in that manner from your ignorance.

  • @Reaper6207 wow being a honda owner... good one stupid piece of shit, plus i bet i know mo about motors than ur stupid ass... ur jst an angry discrace

  • @PR3LUDESI Really!? That's funny because I'm an Acura tech with a degree in automotive technology. You wanna start eating your words now ass jockey? Or maybe the next time you type you could use both sides of your brain and both your hands instead of using one hand to type and the other to jack off your butt-buddy.

  • You can get 1000 bhp out of a 4 cyl if you have the money to throw at it.. The reason they used a W 16 is that they can get there 1001 bhp and lots of torque that is found in engines that have a much longer stroke/bore ratio. And since they use a shorter stroke they can up the red line of the engine. A 1000 bhp V8 may only rev to 5000rpm reliable while the w 16 can go all the way to 6500rpm but without loosing the torque..

  • @JHAAMYEESS the standard veyron was 1001

  • God just fucking everything he says is so stupid! It's like that howitworks show on discovery where they only use narrators that aren't familiar with what the fuck they are talking about!

  • he says Veyron wrong, dipshit

  • Okay what's up with all the Vernier calipers??

    Totally unnecessary!!

  • I can't wait till Chevy builds a Corvette that can chase down the Veyron

  • lol all that time and technology and a big ass pushrod V8 with two turbos can still make double the raw power, albeit much less refined, for a lot less money. Not bashing the Bugatti but its just funny to me. Like having one guy paint the side of a house with an expensive high tech ultra precise paint gun and another guy going at it with a fire hose.

  • @Warblade118 yes it can but what about the reliability?? why do you think that cars like that are extremely rare on the roads, or that nobody manufactures cars like that. Even from a 1.2 liter engine you can pull out 1000 hp. It's about how you control the 1000hp and the Bugatti can control that immense power and torque. The 1000 hp are natural for that w16 can you say the same for a v8?

  • @UltraFighter18 okay, obviously you haven't been around to many turbo V8's. in this day and age it's (relatively speaking) easy for a turbo big block V8 to make 1000HP. In fact some can make up to 2000HP. So reliability at 1000HP is clearly not an issue. And they do all this in a smaller, (outside dimensions) lighter package than a 16cly and for much less money, with much less technology and they are every bit as powerful. A big block with DOHC and 4V/cly and 8L would laugh at 1000HP.

  • @Warblade118 okay but reflect on this if the v8 can produce up to 2000 hp if you say so how much hp can the Bugatti w16 produce ?? Don't say that in terms of engendering a v8 is superior to the w16.

It is cheaper but better I doubt it.

  • @UltraFighter18 Well when you ask me how much power can the W16 produce you are starting to go against reliability. We are talking about a reliable, streetable 1000HP pump gas engine here. I only brought up 2000HP to show what V8's are capable of withstanding and at half that power reliability is not an issue. My point is an 8L V8 can easily do the same job with half the clys, therefore a smaller block, half the turbo's, none of that 4V/cly DOHC stuff and for a fraction the price.

  • 1001 PS is NOT 1000BHP. It is actually 987BHP. And the AWD distributes this so what we're actually getting is something like 650-700 RWHP. Torque is constant.

  • lasers make camshafts out of little blue tubes

  • 4 fucking turbos BITCHES that alone would b fucking awesome on any car, but you never have the room - till now

  • Very impressive.

  • cannot imagine how long that took to animate

  • 16 cyl is yust to much- you got to put bounderys somewere- and i think that 16 is to much

  • man everything about this is a marvel of engineering.

  • This engine produces 3000hp @ the flywheel - look it up..

  • @alphahanDK i totaly know your right but where does the extra horsepower go? that seems a big loss of power somerwere.

  • @dindinz666

1000bhp is lost in the 4 wheel drive system.

1000bhp in the cooling system. I know its crazy..but is true.

  • @alphahanDK thank you for your time budd. your right thats bloody mad.

  • @dindinz666 no problem :-)

  • that engine should be making more hp to bad bugatti got beat AGAIN even the SS(of which they stole from U.S.) is beat by SSC with 1287 HP and 270+top speed

  • Funny how it all started with a vehicle like the Model T then today became a super car with a VV16 engine. Cars grow up so fast

  • @212trooper

model t wasnt the 1st automobile

  • @empiking66 awwww=/ but my point was it all started with a basic engine then it "upgraded" over the years.

  • engineering at its finest

  • its not acctually W with 2 crank shafts its 2 VR8's on one crank and its called V V or double V but people call it W Cause thats what VV looks like and superturbo chargers nice also cubic liters this is why people hate yankees

  • German knew it all the way . American just wake themselves up

  • haha the w shape is because the cilinders are in shape of a W the same with a v engine its the shape

  • ok so theres I4,I6,etc v6,v8,v10,etc I know what the I and V is... but W16 whats the W stand for?

  • 64 VALVES ZOMFG!

  • This is the best car Europe has ever put out.

  • i hate french cars, but this is the exception this car is amazing

  • @24jeffgordan88JRfan its a german car and engine you idiot

  • @EdwardianGangster it's french...........the owener of bugatti german, wow ur loser XD

  • @24jeffgordan88JRfan cant spell owner properly? aaawwwwwww

Bugatti was founded in france by an italian and is now owned by a a german (so to speak) i would therefore not call it french

  • @EdwardianGangster no ur wrong look it up buddy :)

  • @24jeffgordan88JRfan prove me wrong

  • @EdwardianGangster go to wiki and look up veyron :)

  • @24jeffgordan88JRfan that proves me right

  • @EdwardianGangster omg no it don't.........just.....just, shut up leave me alone

  • @24jeffgordan88JRfan are you a retarded? READ IT it says, and i quote from wikipedia "Bugatti was founded in Molsheim, France as a manufacturer of high performance automobiles by Ettore Bugatti, an Italian immigrant described as an eccentric genius." IT ALSO SAYS "Today the name is owned by Volkswagen Group, who have revived it as a builder of limited production exclusive sports cars."

  • did he say cubic litre, ive never herd of square litre. but thats what you get with Americans who only use cubic inches

  • That's one impressive piece of machinery :)

  • veyrun

  • nothing else like it
