Perhaps, this "So!" contains two means. One : same meaning as english "so"("so" of "so what?"). Two : "Uso!"(in english, "you kiddin'!" or "what?"). It's not easy to translate such complex context....He said "So!", because he has no time to reflect what Beth said, and because he is in fight. But at the same time, he acknowledge what happend on his lover, by intinution.
@sygo7g Thats because he didn't know. He made sure that everybody in the universe died, and to this day he still has no ideal what possessed him to kill everyone off so brutally.
I love the scene with Doba, and how it's left ambigious if it's really the Ide or a hallucination dreamt up by the (surely bonkers) Doba to justify his actions. Truly masterful.
