A long while ago I actually messaged Shawn claiming that a lot of what he was saying was in no way the fact he presented it as. He sent me a response that was written in a compelling manner with a video to something or other that he claimed was indisputable.
I replied to him saying that he had presented me with something that gave the impression of being extremely persuasive but was in no way legitimate fact.
I don't really remember what he responded with but it was probably total shit.

I knew VFX had done something amazingly stupid with DPRJones and something about defrauding a charity, but I was unaware of the full extent of either. It is possible that he isn't a sociopath and that he has some other psychological disorder but his behavior in the past is not uncommon behavior for sociopaths.

Being violent is not the only prerequisite of being a sociopath, and just so we're clear, none of us are privy to whether or not Shawn has been violent in the past.. Sociopathy and psychopathy involve the disregard for other people's rights and feelings. While Shawn has demonstrated this over and over, I don't think he's a sociopath or a psychopath. I think he's a narcissist.
I didn't (and don't) suggest that VFX has engaged in the torture of animals or the murder of anyone; but as Peach pointed out we don't know that he hasn't, either.
More to the point, neither of those activities are prerequisites to being sociopathic (which is actually a term no longer in professional use), and narcissism being only one of many characteristics of "sociopathy" which VFX actually *has* exhibited on numerous occasions, I still believe it *possible* that he 'fits the bill'.

Wow. I got into YouTube after watching WPLAC's back in mid 2009. I knew VFX had done something amazingly stupid with DPRJones and something about defrauding a charity, but I was unaware of the full extent of either. Judging from what I've seen and heard, the kid is an lying thieving head case. If he tries to make money using Barney we can see how he likes corporate lead pipe litigation. Great video. Was transfixed the whole 46 minutes!

I think this documentary would have been better if xxxThePeachxxx would have just stuck to the facts and not make it some sort of mean-spirited attack on VFX. The whole VFX thing is over now. The man has paid for his crimes. Why can't you just respect that and move on?

Shaun is not a Narcissist or a Sociopath per se but instead is a 'cluster B Personality disorder" that is evident in your (well executed) video depiction of his quasi-psychotic rants, gross over-dramatisation of self endangerment and disregard for the laws of society. Though both Narcissism and Anti-Socialism are part of Cluster B. his symptoms spread throughout the cluster equally.

I don't understand why people think PCS actually believes what he preaches. It's not necessary, and I think it break with parsimony explaining his MO. It's especially difficult for a bright (aware) but spoiled (coddled) child to come of age in a relatively meritocratic society. I am very glad he is back and his videos are better than ever before. I hope and pray he isn't a sociopath because that would be scary considering his large number of devotees. It's been a while since I've read up on sociopaths so I just did a bit of googling and it seems he exhibited a few characteristics of a sociopath in the past although having a few characteristics of a sociopath doesn't necessarily mean someone is a sociopath. Who knows. Maybe he isn't a sociopath.

It could have been true that his parents were unwilling to buy him stuff or finance his "ministry". Contrary to popular belief rich parents don't always give their kids whatever they want....but the rest of the video is pretty damning :o)

But you said that simply because his parents are rich doesn't mean that Shawn himself is rich, which is true, but they were already paying for basically ALL of his expenses, so how he couldn't afford to buy his own camera I don't know, seeing as he had a job at the time.

@Zain844 Not all sociopaths are murderers and not all murderers are sociopaths. What I got from the video is that Shawn has some characteristics of a sociopath. It is possible that he isn't a sociopath and that he has some other psychological disorder but his behavior in the past is not uncommon behavior for sociopaths.

@ I don't think Shawn has killed anyone or tortured animals. Even in the end his biggest critics on youtube such as thunderfoot and DPR Jones helped him by contacting his family and getting him into therapy. How is he suppose to change and be a better person when he is constantly being reminded of what he did and what an awful person he is? How would you feel if you were trying to repent for something you did and your past just keeps getting thrown in your face?

Being violent is not the only prerequisite of being a sociopath, and just so we're clear, none of us are privy to whether or not Shawn has been violent in the past.. Sociopathy and psychopathy involve the disregard for other people's rights and feelings. While Shawn has demonstrated this over and over, I don't think he's a sociopath or a psychopath. I think he's a narcissist.

I didn't (and don't) suggest that VFX has engaged in the torture of animals or the murder of anyone; but as Peach pointed out we don't know that he hasn't, either.
More to the point, neither of those activities are prerequisites to being sociopathic (which is actually a term no longer in professional use), and narcissism being only one of many characteristics of "sociopathy" which VFX actually *has* exhibited on numerous occasions, I still believe it *possible* that he 'fits the bill'.

He's been back a matter of *days* and already has posted a video in which he outlines his intent to offer "Forgiveness & Second Chances" to the 13,000+ (yes, that's thirteen thousand PLUS) people that he has blocked.
He characterizes that list as "rude & foul" ppl, but I am blocked & *never* cursed him.

Peach, I gotta say: Thank you for this video. I followed VFX off and on during his original tenure on youtube, and generally thought him a manipulative bastard. I always wondered what the full story behind him was, and I am so happy that you have assembled this in such a cohesive manner.
With his return, I truly cannot wait to see what's going to happen. I'm also surprised he took back the old mantle...but that's a different discussion for a different day.
