Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is the name of the town.
It roughly translates into English as "The Church of Saint Mary in the hollow of the white hazel near to the rapid whirlpool of Saint Teilo of the red cave"
Great video, my Dad used to (well still can) pronounce that long place name and used to do it impress my friends when I was a kid, how embarrassing was that !!! Give me an hour or 2 to wander around an aquarium place like this and I'm happy.
Hi there Paul another beaut video was that all one word the place name?? I have one for you from New Zealand.
"Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu", which translates roughly as The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about, played his nose flute to his loved one.
I did my work expirience here, I love it!
