  • I love pizza, chicken nuggets, fries, burgers and fizzy drinks and all of that, but I still try to eat healthy, and I think the USA should not totally stop eating these unhealthy foods, but make them more healthy and eat less of them..

  • That radio dude is a jackass!!! Well I'm in america >.< ...no matter how much I would loooove to have a kitchen full of healthy food, I don't have the money to afford it yet, but I swear when that day comes...GOOODBYE proccessed food...from a 19 year old :P

  • Rod - "Why would you say we are............."

Jamie - "because this is a GOVERNMENT STATISTIC"

    brilliant.

  • Stop calling he United States "America." Just because nearly everyone in the US is morbidly obese doesn't mean they can lay claim to the entire Americas.

  • OOOH GOD! Please don't think that the rest of the US is just like this! :-D

  • he's right americans if you dont know what he's saying shame on you

  • meanwhile... Andrew Zimmern aka Man vs Food eats another giant plate of fat crap....

  • It's just as difficult as trying to convince Europeans to quit smoking.Europeans think they're the healthiest ones but it's not true.Europeans are heading the same way.The only thing that slows them down is price of junk food. It's not as affordable in Europe as it is in the US.Not a single person would prefer to eat salad all day just because it's healthy no matter what country are you referring to.Success of Mcdonalds in other country is direct proof to that.

  • Why don't they try to convince people to quit smoking first?Isn't smoking just as deadly?Yet,whole world smokes.

  • At least they eat vegetables for breakfast

  • I understand the fact that these people wanna keep their pride and all but come on, he's just trying to help them live a healthier life where you don't have to worry about heart problems at a young age. Come on people, save yourselves!

  • If Gordon Ramsay is in this show, imagine what will happen. Fuck me!

  • What's so wrong with eating pizza for breakfast? It's so much better than eating it at night.

  • Comment removed

  • fat unhealthy people keeps the health industry going. not to mention the excercise industry. stay fat an dunhealthy, support the health and excercise industry.

  • seriously the ppl dont even care if theyre obese...

  • USDA full of hypocrites

  • Those bastards should be grateful that he's trying to help them, of he came trying to help Australia like this, although I don't think we need the help I'm not to sure how we are we Obesity, but yeah everyone in Australia would support me, majority anyways

  • how ubnoxious that radio guy!!!

  • It's a responsiblity to feed kids well. They won't make smart choices for themselves. But apparently the parents aren't capable of doing that either

  • "i'm not gonna cook you a lettuce!" hahahahahaha!

  • "I dont want to eat lectace all day!" Americans in 8 words.

  • @tiagogalvao654321 Can't blame them really, I mean no one wants to eat lettuce all day.

  • @tiagogalvao654321 Do you want to eat "lectace" all day?

  • that DJ needs to get rid of his red-neck tan and eat a salad

  • Fucking retards. They all say "I don't understand why he is here to change our system, it works good" Let them die of diabetes. They are stupid and close minded.

    Long live the Mediterranean diet!

  • 12 people from the fattest town in American don't like this. Go figure!

  • Jamie Oliver is almost as arrogant as an American politician.

  • Pizza for breakfast...? What are they thinking? I feel bad for those people having to grow up suffering obesity because some people are idiots.

  • Some American people just make me do one thing... facepalm.

Seriously though, seeing this makes me really worried about humanity.

Good thing someone is trying to change the world.

  • @SoIIy Most Americans make me facedesk, and I'm from the USA lol.

  • Fruit Salad bitches. Better than pizza.

  • breakfast pizza

  • If Jamie tried to tell me what to eat I'd tell him to fuck the hell off..... even though I'm a healthy eater.

  • @nriab23 if you are healthy eater he dont then tell you.

  • @nriab23 do you tell the mechanic to f off when he says your car needs this?

  • 'reality tv' yeah right

'here's 80 grand for your school's lunch program, act like a stupid bitch on camera for our show.'

  • jamie oliver is the best.

  • i like his way of cooking ( simple, creative , delicious )

  • in high school we had the very same breakfast besides the way too sweet milk the breakfast actually tastes good, but fruit also taste yummy. After I left school I didn't really miss breakfast pizza I am once happy again with my fruit, skim milk and kernel bread for breakfast and I guess my body is happier now too :)

  • I knew about Jamie Oliver before this but my respect grew for him by a lot after watching this show

  • That fat guy is a fine advertisement for healthy eating! There are too many obese slobs in USA already: no need for an extra fatso!

  • I washed the whole thing and it's an amazing thing what he's doing.

Changes must be done! Especially in School!!!

Keep it up Jamie Oliver :)

  • i cant believe he stayed so calm when that guy was such a retard

  • wow,,I just bumped into the is. I saw jamie in british schools a couple of weeks ago but i think this is going to be even more provoking. People must be assholes to eat that kind of shit, get fat, get unhealthy and then expect medical treatment!!! They,re either syupid, assholes or stupidassholes!!!

  • *facepalm* -___-

  • Pizza for breakfast,now that's messed up.

  • @TheWheelofLife100 unless you're like me :DD im trying to gain weight :DD cuz ive lost soo much weight and my tshirts just dont fit me and i dont have the money yet to buy new ones :DD

  • Jamie is my idol.......nuff said.

  • I am not living in U.S. but hell I love McDonald and I can't stand looking at what they are eating on a daily basis. Pizza + nuggets + potato-free mashed potato in first two meals of the day?!

  • wow, its amazing how the media warps the minds of us stupid Americans.

  • WHAT?? That radio guy is presuming things! He hasn't even heard the positive sides or even the negative ones, if there are any, to Jamie's goal. He is so full of himself. He's kind of a proud person. Okay, I'll stop blabbering now. (calms down)

Anyway, wow. I want to aim as high as Jamie. Changing a certain person/place/habit for the better.. You're one good role model mate.

  • I wanna move to that town so i can feel better about my weight :3

  • i think that radio station guy is a sad guy that is probably has bobo's for friends.

  • he could say for example: now i know that theres gonna be somepeople that arent gonna like me comming here, but i just wanna say that i'm only here becouse i whant to help you. i've left my family and my wife at home to help you people.

just an idea of what he could say......

  • rod willis is such an ass

  • Lunch lady!!! Her reaction is priceless!! 09:01

    HAHAHA!!

  • the government are making big money in the school system by killing young kids with poison synthetic unnatural foods to destroy the population of society it is clear the illuminati are behind this agender of the shitty school system of food and education

  • thats why as european it's so easy to get successful there ;)

  • What Jamie doesn't understand is America does NOt want ANYONE to tell them what to do, especially NOT the Brits. They are an independent country after all... Even I am surprised J.O. and his tv crew were allowed to make this programme there, and I live in Hungary, central Europe. I wonder how other countries would react if he said such harsh criticising words about their culture. Otherwise, I am all for Jamie and he made me cook from scratch again. I understand both sides.

  • lol... after seeing this, think i get it why he cried...

  • "I don't know why he's here to change our system....which is working GOOD".

Difficult to believe when your English teaching doesn't appear to work very WELL.

  • @AdmiralMcFish I know! I literally did a facepalm when she said that X( I love your user name btw :)

  • @oKCuLater

Haha, thanks very much. I was expecting someone to reply berating on how there's "no true English". Which, of course, is true, but I still felt the need to point out the irony of her sentence.

  • @AdmiralMcFish That is correct in American English and trust me, British people will make just as many grammar mistakes as any Americans....

  • @csillinemeth

Of course. Being English myself, I've made the same mistake on numerous occasions. I usually find Southern drawl to be quite, quite charming, though in that instance it just came as humorous to the irony of her sentence.

  • School should not only be about education for work it should also be about education for life.

  • i just want to share my bit. i like food, fried fatty as well as rice and steamed meet and vegetable. but i gotta say i never had a weight problem. because i believe its not about food , but about movement. u dont have to be jogger or athlete. just be positive to movement. walk fast when you hurry, dance when you cook with radio on, stand up when u get excited about smthing on tv. of course this works only when u start soon enough. and dont eat because youre bored.

  • they cant be that retarded ... can they ?

  • I amsick and tired of the unhealthy foods here at school im in texas and its just as bad . I widh jamie could come here

  • ha funny that americans dont want people to change them but want to change other cultures by invasion (in extreme cases) etc. hypocritical much

  • blegh PIZZA breakfast fffffff#*!( nasty :P

  • This town is full of fat idiots.

  • I am from Sweden and we are starting to have the same problems here. Luckily we do not suffer from the extreme unwillingness to see a problem that Americans do. It's somehow not allowed to tell an American they do anything wrong, not just about food, but anything. Obviously when you refuse to listen to any criticism things will just get worse. I don't think obesity is the nr.1 problem of USA, it's the whole American idea of "you can criticize me, I'm number 1".

  • that radio guy...unbelievable...look what Jamie did in Britain...he DID something and it worked.

  • HAha that radio guy... Rofl what an idiot.

  • Norway is the best country

  • that radio guy says he doenst like a guy dictating them what to eat, yet its what america is actually doint. they are letting big companies dictate them what to eat.

thats how fucked up you guys are.

  • Man, Americans really don't like being told they're wrong, huh?

  • 7:26 "our system is working good".... LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

  • Despite how much of a douche-bag the radio guy is, he has a really sexy voice...

  • poor kids, this is unheard-of

  • EUROPEAN CLASS

  • @AnonymousCowardX which country? ;)

  • @unseenforce10 Greeting you from Switzerland!

  • @unseenforce10 Where are you honourable person from?

  • @AnonymousCowardX britain..now tell me where your from :)

  • @unseenforce10 Britain rules. As I stated before, I am greeting you from this tiny country called Switzerland ;-)

  • @AnonymousCowardX thanks..switzerland maybe tiny but its a good country i want go there 1 day..an skiing an stuff..tell me whats the food like in switzerland? :)

  • @unseenforce10 Switzerland is ok. The food is a bit tasteless. My favourite: Fondue. How's the food in your country like?

  • @AnonymousCowardX fondue chocolate?..an the food is good here,i have loads of favourites..Roast beef dinner. cokk the beef for about 3 hours slow..mmm it melts in your mouth...heaven it is. :)

  • @unseenforce10 Sounds great. You know what? Yesterday, I tried Spaghetti Puttanesca, with the Lime/Basil Sorbet dessert afterwards, according to the Jamie Oliver method, was simple and fantastic to eat... yummy! Thanks Jamie, once again

  • @AnonymousCowardX good good :)

  • ... He's surprised that they're having pizza for breakfast at school. What I'm surprised about is that they even have breakfast in school in the first place. In Finland we only have school lunch. o_o

  • @SaxonVoter

Usually in American schools they have an optional breakfast before school hours.

  • @SaxonVoter i think having NO breakfast is better than having pizza for breakfast. i live in austria and there are just a few schools which offer lunch...

  • @lastavicaHC I also live in vienna and I'm glad I don't have to eat that. I think it's great that jamie did (still does?) this. Because it really helps! We have yucky food in our school and I think it's like that in most schools around the world. I think more cooks should do something like that. (There's a lot of "I think"s XD)

Ich könnte nie PIZZA in der früh essen. *erschaudert*

  • i am so addicted to this show!!!!

  • I've never seen proud people than American!!

They are death for that food, but don't want to change

  • oh god, i feel so bad for jamie.

but did he succeed in the end?

  • I LOVE THIS GUY HE IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • Eating processed food also causes kids to have poor IQ. There are quite a few studies on it.

  • One unfortunate thing is that he has added Saran Wrap/Cling Film to many of the cooking processes. The Cancer Society has come out and said it is full of chemicals and gets more toxic as you heat it. If you watch the clips, so many dishes are sitting hot, in the cling film. Too bad that all that work and good food is sitting in poison.

  • mmmmm im cravin pizza...))

  • I would kill to eat what jamie had made, and they try to send him away?U mad americans?

  • god americans are so stupid they don't even get that he is trying to help them live longer.. but all olf them are so against him... poor Jamie... That's why I want to study in UK or Japan but defenetly not in US...

  • @ACosplay nice man. i also want to travel to Japan, even though i'm american, i'm pretty pissed at how things are turning out. good luck with your studies

  • The radio guy is a little prick and old fucking hag, I hope he dies of a painful cardiac arrest.

  • I wished that jamie was with gordon ramsey. That radio guy will get his arse kick by GR that would be epic. Jamies too soft get GR and tell them to fck off!! Lmao

  • Why doesn't he pronounce the "t"s :O

  • @FabuleuxFab88 Because that's his dialect.

  • 10 people have a cold stone heart

  • I've got a whole lot of ideas and opions about this... But basically, this just scares me... OMG

  • @aiazar They should have worked together on this one.

  • eat your vegetables!!!!

  • Wow - that DJ is an ASS! What an embarassment he is to me and I live in the US. He sounds like a shock jock

  • @aiazar So true! LOL

    You're a clever/funny guy!

  • The sad thing is, it actually does seem like everyone in America is like that radio guy...

  • @Kaza128 Indeed..ALOT of americans are idiots and dont care about what they say...and it even gets worse when its over the internet where they dont have to care..

  • @Kaza128

Wrong, my family does not eat junk all the time. Not all Americans are fat and sit around eating processed food. I often took a sandwich on whole wheat bread, pretzels, a vegetable and a piece of fruit for lunch as a kid. Now as an adult I eat vegetables on buckwheat/whole wheat pasta, bean/veggie soup or hummus on tandoori and I only eat out once a week. Don't make generalizations.

  • @Kaza128 Quit being so naive.

  • Rdio guy is a miserable ignorant bastard. Who looks like a badly made steak.

  • damn i would do anything to eat something from jamie :/

  • ordinary people who make an honest living don't like being "told" what to do.. they need to see the value of change first before they start changing.. it's human nature, how would you feel if somebody (no matter what good intentions) suddenly said "hey you're doing the wrong thing, let me show you what's what.."

  • @lovellespice

but isnt it ridiculous that those people have no idea about the problem of their food habit?

they dont even have common sense.

and also I dont think it would be THAT frustrating to hear someone say," your not eating the right food"

The radio guy can't accept different opinion at all, and viewed a simple advise from Oliver as a way to humiliate and to gain control over him and his fellow. He will never learn a new thing in his life with this kind of attitude.

    american idiot

  • @frenchu6aup6 yah sure.. they're just "ignorant" folks.. do you think people will listen to you if you call them "ignorant" :) that radio guy's villainy is just scripted, if you watch til the end of the series, he comes around as if by miracle.. read some of the comments, a lot of people observed that his douchebag behavior seemed very scripted

  • @lovellespice why of course it's scripted, it's a TV show :) But aren't you terrified that there are people like that in real life? Quite a lot of them actually.

  • "polite english guy" lol

  • What did you record that with a spoon?

  • I'm an American...and I don't eat pizza for breakfast...that's just weird.

  • stupid ignorant americans

  • Rod Willis - Cunt. Irony = a man slagging off Jamie Oliver, who has a face like melted blancmange!

  • radio guy: eating just lettuce would be unhealthy. there's more to healthy food than lettuce. go jamie!

  • I think that we need to lay off the American country as a whole. Sure, SOME American families have weight issues, but it's wrong to condemn a WHOLE NATION based on a small part of it.

  • @TheUshankaBrothers A small part of it? 2/3 of Americans are overweight. That is more than HALF the population!

  • what an egoist!! take that advice man! that's for your own good. damn. my heart aches for Jamie.

  • Oh and today we watched the part where he showed and asked children what's the name of vegetables, and they DIDN'T know how a potato looks like but they all screamed PIZZA like in a choir when Jamie showed it!!! That's pathetic, big time...

  • haha we watch this in the end of each English class :D bloody americans, this show really shows how americans eat :/ I eat burgers like, once, twice a month but not too much. Our lunch ladies in school give us healthy food, we've never got any pizza or chicken nuggets and I wouldn't even want to eat the same thing every day!!!

  • Why the fuck would you be mean to JAMIE OLIVER!!! >.<

  • that radio guy is COCKSUCKER

  • Jamie is a nice guy....if gordon was in jamie's place he would fucked that radio guy xD

  • Love the whole "british" thing there, "british" school food.. god man, he is from england, he changed things in england, not scotland or wales or ireland.

  • welcome to america...fuuuu xD

  • You just got to love Jamie and the accent :P

  • That radio guy count himself lucky he's interviewing jamie and not gordon ramsey

  • Instead of being OPEN to feeling BETTER.... yankees can be so uptight, so paranoid, and so arrogant that they don't believe that things can get better!

And what goes into our stomachs..... is what we ARE!

Go for it jaimie... YOU know how famously CRAP most English food was... and how GREAT simple, everyday Italian food is... and how it is reflected on their culture!

  • wow...

  • "..Telling US how to run our lives." Lives? You won't have much of a life if you keep doing what you're doing..

  • I know I'm commenting way too much, but...Jamie, if you're reading this; I'm from Vietnam and I support you fully, you did a generation of people a great deal of favor and I just want you to know that the support you have is truly phenomenal. I showed my sister this,(12 years old)and she cried when the kids talked about their background and how obesity had hurt each of their lives and left scars.

I love you and your movement, along with 30 minute meals. I am straight as a ruler and way underage

  • Jamie Oliver is, not only a talentless cook and imbecile, he is also a culinary imperialist / food terrorist. STFU and go back to England.

  • @TimNRA757 What?? you can't send him back to england he is not welcome here!

  • @Pr0pagandaFilms How does China, Venezuela, North Korea or Cuba sound then? :)

  • @TimNRA757 Please, watch the whole of the show before putting such tags on his head. I personally do not know Jamie, and I am only 17 and from Vietnam; having watched all of the episodes, I can truly tell you that this is an inspiring person who's motivated by his passion and love of the art. I've become emotionally attached to the whole project even though I saw the whole thing in under a few hours. He's saving lives here, and if he could influence a random Asian kid, he could do anything.

  • @hocly22 I've seen the show, and I can tell you that this clown is just causing school districts to lose contracts and cost us, tax payers, more money. Parents have the right to do as they wish without some idiot telling them what to do, at least I think they still do as we're told it's a free country here. Hmm...

  • @TimNRA757

You are the problem. Please eat more junk food so you can die fast and we get rid of part of the problem.

  • Comment removed

  • Guys.. you know that the radio man just acted? its tv

  • Jamie, U are an amazing person.I'd never tot there was such a need for a food activist(activist to me if often environmental),now I see why there is a need!Unbelievable schools in US are serving their kids food like these, no wonder why American friends love junky processed food way more than me, it is because it was their growing up food!U are so inspiring.U persevered in what you really believe in despite all the strong setbacks!U look really tired lately, pls take a rest for yourself. HUGS

  • This makes me wonder if Jamie oliver willing left england or was exiled.

  • On behalf of the UK i apologise for this facist prick. Not all british like this fucking twat. Not as if there are many countries haven't produced a complete prick. Canada made Justin beiber and USA that rebecca black and unfortunately this prick from the UK -_-

  • @Pr0pagandaFilms Apology not needed. You guys still have great chefs, IE Gordon Ramsay and Anthony Worral-Thompson :).

  • @Pr0pagandaFilms hey mate, I'm not sure how you'd even call him those names. He is an amazing chef, friendly bloke who just wants to make his best effort to help make the world a better place. Even if he fails, no harm is done so what is wrong with you? Are you a fat bugger with diabetes? YOU don't like him, don't pull off the "on behalf of UK" shit, the UK can't possibly hate him...look at the freaking like/dislike bar.

  • @hocly22 I am not fat at all i just believe he shouldn't completely change the way British people eat like how he did here. He has made it so you can't buy fatty foods at school you can't buy crisps, chocolates or chips or burgers anymore. He can say all he wants about eating healthy but when he tries to change laws and make it comuplsarary for those things thats when i get pissed off.

  • @Pr0pagandaFilms Are you guys THAT desperate of getting some crisps or burgers that ya guys can't even wait until the weekends or until you get home? I bet there are still fast food stores out there and you could still grab junk food afterschool/weekend if you so desire (though it DEFEATS the whole purpose of eating healthy). Don't you think it's a bit weird if you guys are complaining burgers are not served in school anymore? You can live without junk food, and you WILL die sooner if you don't

  • my goodness. That dj was such a caricature of the "amurrica"-type character.

  • radio man probably got abused by his own father. poor guy

  • radio man probably got abused by his own father. poor guy

  • Sounds like the radio guy could do with a vegetable burger.
