@popazz1 yeah I know what you mean. Although I think that body building for kids is a very bad idea. The training will diminish their growth and cause problems during puberty. I do however encourage strength training and endurance training for kids. Such as aerobics, long distance running, swimming or whatever sport that requires you to be constantly running. Soccer is a perfect example. I've heard that several soccer players can loose several pounds during a game.

Yeah,I see where you're coming from.I often think that it's the parents,(fathers),who 'encourage' their sons to take up body-building rather than some other physical exercise.Football,like you say,can be just as effective a form of exercise or fitness regime.I've never seen a fat footballer! But anything which gets kids off the couch,I guess.

@Futbolballerina Bodybuilding stunting (or dimishing) a kid's growth I understand is actually a myth. Lifting weights for prepubscent boys is actually a good thing as long as they do high reps at a low weight. It won't cause problems during puberty as long as they are supervised during training so they don't resort to bad lifting techniques. Believe you me, young kids lifting weights is MUCH better than them being a couch potato!
