My child has listened to Steven Isserlis play this concerto nearly every night at bedtime for years (he is absolutely addicted to the entire Schumann CD!). He always trys to stay awake until the end of the CD where Steven adds a delightul surprise - he plays (by itself) the original ending of the concerto. After a few years and only managing to hear it a few times, my child has decided the original ending was better re-written. I agree, but it's great to hear them both. Thanks Steven!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful upload!

I LOVE this concerto. I feel like I've just seen a great film every time I finish listening to it. And I LOVE the way Steve Isserlis plays it. Bravo.
