  • Does anybody know who made the song at the beginning of the movie when Brian first picked up Hurricane? Hurricane says "Listen to that" and turns the volume up then starts playing his thumb like a sax. It goes, ba ba baw baw baw, ba ba baw baw baw, ba ba baw baw ba ba ba baw baw baw..., as far as I know those are the only lyrics. The song ends just as they pull onto town and park. This is one of my favorite movies, next to Corvette Summer and Two-Lane Blacktop!!!

  • Fremont was my home track, I lived in campbell ca. and saw hot rod willys run after

    the movie and was called hot rod willys. Who knew that thirty years later I would be on the drag race team of hot rod willys and be married to owner steve castellis daughter and winning goodguys championship races in one of the three cars that he bought from this film.

  • Wow, haven't seen this in years! My Dad built and drove the Willy's coupe for this film. It was filmed in Fremont and Calistoga when I was 10 yrs old.

  • That was filmed at the old Fremont Drag Strip in Fremont Calif. which later became Baylands. More American Graffti was also filmed there. I was there for both movies, yeah I'm Old School or maybe just old but Hey, I'm Still racing !
