  • i like it ... & i love the who backdrop

  • Very good.

  • those backing singers are good

  • (Oh, and that's not the Bo Diddley beat, either--see "Not Fade Away")

  • Hey Ppuffdiddleydangdoof :

That's a Keith riff all the way (right down to the open G tuning)...no way Jones played it.

  • Isnt that Mitch Mitchell ??

  • First things first; Simon Meli is a superstar.

Secondly, this song is too difficult for mere mortals to do. There's a lot wrong with this rendition, but you have to give them credit for giving it a go.

Bo Diddley once said to Brian Jones, Rolling Stones guitarist who plays this syncopated riff on the studio record: "You're the only guy who ever got the Bo Diddley Beat right".

Even the Rolling Stones sound weak without Keith Richards.

    The widowbirds rock.

  • great trib band. Love the improvement on vocals.

  • seeing those little dance moves he was doing i thought he was Jagger for a moment lol

  • this is really cool. the singer sounds and acts just a little like chris robinson from the black crows. thanks for posting

  • that's Richards riff, as are most Stones gems .. mt and ronnie just fill in

  • I thought it was stolling rones

  • voice is too pretty, i dont hear any pain in it like my man jagger

  • @gandil408 We must give credit where credit is due. Yes, Mick Taylor contributed a wonderful piece of guitar virtuoso during the second half of this song, which was the instrumental piece. But all of the main guitar work during the verses and the chorus, which is all that is shown in this video, was Keith Richards. Why cannot people admit that in his own unique and simplistic approach that Keith Richards is a fucking guitar genious!!

  • OK, this is one of my favorite songs, and they do it justice. I think it is a very pleasing rendition of classic stones. Instrumentally they sound just like the original. Vocally, this dude is not trying to do Jagger, he is doing his own interpretation, and I like it a lot!

  • This is a very tall order to fill

  • Just not feeling it. He did give good effort... But again, your covering the Rolling Stones here; never gonna sound as good.

  • love it, very sexy

  • this is a vey black crowsy version buy it's solid as hell. i dig it.

  • That's so much better than Rolling can actually do. And his voice fit so well with the song!

  • WHO the Fuck are these Guys ? THEY ROCK !!

  • Awesome - you had to be there to appreciate how good simon Meli is. Black Crows eat your heart out!

  • Steve Perry say whaaaaaaaat?? haha

  • Shit

  • Hairy arms!!!

  • Love the move the back up singer on the left makes @ about 2:40

  • @RP439

    2:30 I Mean

  • this feels strangely very white

  • nice cover fellow's/fellow-ettes. keep up the good to average work! sweeeeet! what are speefy jives?

  • Female singers! What about the vocalist???

  • Not bad!!

  • I must admit, I like those chicks also, especially the one on the outside with the dotted blouse. She's got great rythm. Anyone know who they are?

  • Looks like the love child of Chris Robinson and Martha Quinn but not a bad performance at all

  • Hi hat groove is off.

  • All I can say is: Dam Good.

  • love them groovy babes

  • The guitar intro sounds much better than the actual Stones live versions you hear today. It's what you don't play that counts!

  • Did the lead singer get traded from the Black Crowes tribute band? Just kidding. He's great. Terrific performance all around.

  • @etna253 cuz jagger was so husky and wasnt in need of a good buff sandwich?

  • Wow ! This guy could even sing Led Zep stuff. And the band is good. Nothing against the chicks : in tune, in place and...

  • Vocalist reminds of the Black Crowes. Respectable version.

  • @lickss I think you put this quite right, friend.

    Overall, a very honest band.

  • DAMN!! congrats you folkes!!

  • I love this tune, great sound, the chicks look like they are stoned or drunk or both. I think the babe on the left is really hot, they should give more camera time.

  • the band is decent , but both lead and backing vocal are nothing short of the cringe factor, and the back-up vocalists sound like a bunch of semi drunk college girls doing some very bad karaoke !

  • Simon, your a star.. and your brother Matt is an awesome drummer.. (so is your bands drummer..) well done man..

  • @telecasteredtodeath explosions in the sky are post rock and consist of 3 guitars and a drummer. check it out. i hate vocals

  • muy buena banda, genial.. pero el cantante no va !

  • They gave the Stones a run for the money. This track sounds better than th Stones doing CYHMN Live. The back-up singers nailed it,muscians nailed it and the singer sang it better than Jagger does now...he didn't copy or attempt to mimic the sound from the Album.Relly good.

  • who's that chick with a cap in the middle?

  • The singer is more of a paul rodgers (bad company/free) than a Mick Jagger. Nonetheless, Sounds great!

  • The Rolling Stone's singer... Reminds me of Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. (: Haha.

  • really...that's no the rolling stones playin..besides, tyler would sell his soul to be a rolling stone....get some education, will you...

  • le seul truc de bien, c'est le son de la guitare...on dirait la vraie!

Le batteur devrait savoir qu'il faut doubler les coups sur le charleston au début...et c'est pas "nasty boots", mais "plastic boots"!

  • dude looks like chris robinson

  • @5H4V3D89 I was gonna say. It's the Black Crows doing the Stones

  • @DrewD1966 Agreed. More Black Crows for sure. Certainly no Mick Jager.

  • For me he´s like a mix of robert plant and chris robinson.. its a great mix dont u thin k?

  • @FlyLords sure its good.. they rocked it! Drummer looks like Rich Robinson!

  • yeah you're right!

the band on the whole. rock!

  • @5H4V3D89 yeah but He sure as hell doesnt sing like chris

  • ROCK N ROLL!

  • This is good....

  • Ya'll got tweet tweet whines...

  • Great performance. Impressive. Never seen this good cover. Where is the rest?

  • best cover iv'e heard they rock keep it simple stupid

  • I'd call it a cover band and not a tribute band. Slight difference.

  • Exelent cover Good shoop

  • even as a tribute band, its a good tribute! tight

  • Sounds nothing like Jagger.

  • umm.. spinningfish.. are you saying you'll go to a Concert paying tribute to the compositions of an Artist or Artists, and expect to hear performers attempt to mimic, instead of interpret?

  • The title lead me to believe that this was a Rolling Stones Tribute Band, in which case I would expect the frontman to sound like Jagger, as I cannot afford the real thing.

Therefore, as an interpretation, this is actually rather good, so I stand corrected!

  • @musodata Right on my man. Sounds good from where im sitting!

  • @musodata this singer sucks ass either way

  • @musodata interpret???? dude noone is trying to interpret.............. they are not good enough to interpret. But I like their performance. But please dont say interpret!!

  • i agree

  • @spinningfish2005 I agree ..the band is spot on though

  • @spinningfish2005 well then go listen to jagger
