The Ark Angel GK will use Meikyo Shisui every 2-3 minutes, followed by three weaponskills in this order: Tachi: Yukikaze (blind), Tachi: Gekko (silence), Tachi: Kasha (paralyze).

Barfira is Lv 17 WHM spell casted by the MNK/WHM most probably. (MNK/WHM is most effective for Chi Blast) but not all are /whm. Though some are in mp gear. I wont say you're wrong but I personally don't see the RDM AF hat, so I am very doubtful.

As for 1:40-1:41 All I see is Asuran Fists.

Nah, the 2 hour is from the ArcAngel GK. If you look closely the last Kasha is on the MNK (He's KO'd right after)

As for the other two we can't really argue for being 100% sure. I don't see a RDM in there or a DRG - or the Penta Thrust. (You said Penta thrust from SAM, a SAM would never waste his time using a Polearm on these types of mobs for it doesn't give piercing damage any bonus)

We can both keep our sides, but this video is like a legend for JP back in the day. I'm positive it's 18MNKs.

You actually can solo in FFXI if you have the right job/sub-job and you know what you're doing. It is just hard when you're starting out as a newbie character. Watch some FFXI solo videos of people getting x4 exp chains around level 30s and what not you'll see what I mean (I do agree that trying to get a party is really hard and unpleasant in that game though.)

It's still a good run, not as epic as an Actual 18-Monk run. One thing I noticed in the video and hear from alot of players is that the JP player base don't use macros (read: rather many). The Galka here did most of the stuff shown manually lol

This fight was AWESOME. I had the best time on DM. We ended up using a PLD/BLU as the "supertank" and his pt was made up of curing power and a brd for Soul Voice. The second party had two NINs and other DDs, and the last party had a NIN and BLMs to nuke. There were other jobs here and there, but that was basically our set up. This vid is awesome though :) I'm glad I was in the back when we pulled the Hume since he killed a good number with his Mijin.
