  • How would you make a 6' spiining platform?

  • use roller skate wheels and a bowed pvc pipe

  • 3:09 sneak peek of the test film???

  • If you take 1" sections of the PVC and cut out a strip (top view of tube would be like a "C"), you can roll them up and glue to the insides of 2' sections of pipe, stcking halfway out. Then it is easy to take from place to place.

  • Make a juggernaut suit I need one for about 50 dollars for my vid

  • did you actually git you,r back stapled?!?!?!

  • Theres a new tool called PVC Bendit, it heats the PVC, you put on gloves and bend it, voila! Curved track

  • this is awesome

    you really helped, thanks

  • did he use bearings

  • Great video!! Thanks guys..

  • evenin

  • 3:10 is a guy in beach

  • what size is the angled aluminium?

  • at last the one on tv

  • whAT is the song in the end=??

  • Oh I see it was probably just a glitch

  • super tom cruise what ?

  • use an old hose pipe to make it curved

  • 5:42- the little kid just looks at him!

  • Thumbs up if you noticed the weird video glitch at 3:09

  • how did you put the stape on erick

  • NERDSTYLE FTW!!!!

  • Replace the PVC with metal rods bend them how ever u want it and it should work

  • Wtf 3:09

  • Use 2 pvc pipe angles and more pvc pipe and use that at the end

  • What's Mike Bruno's track titled???

  • what the hell was that at 3:11 , i first thought the LSD was kickin in again

  • you are wrong about the budget i did the math it's $17.99 over budget not $3.03 you idiots.

  • @awsomezach364 you're joking right?

  • @awsomezach364 1. y would u even do the math out? and 2. it does come out to 3.03 ;)

  • you are wrong about the budget i did the math it's $17.99 not $3.03 you idiots.

  • #OMG what was that 3:09

  • lol look at 5:26 that kid gets really scared

  • EVERYBODY WATCH:...... FilmRiot

    better dolly´s, better explaning

better quality, and always have a funny story to every episode

    and is sponsored

    10x better than this

  • @AfterTheVideoRemake it doesn't matter what's better and what better quality one has. it's the information that goes into these videos.

which is from critical point no diffrent than any other film making tutorial.

  • bull...

  • @AfterTheVideoRemake I agree that Film Riot is better, but Indy Mogul also has many clever ideas that Film Riot hasn't covered.

  • 3:11 why is there a kid running on the beach?

  • WHY ADS!!!??? WHY!!!!???

  • 3:10, wait.. what ?! xD

  • ZZZZZZzzzzzzz..... yawn

  • WHAT IS THAT! Check 3:11

  • @Habbopingvinen i saw that and comprehended it b4 it left :D omg i fel ninja its a guy with black shoulder length hair running along a beach in swim trunks

  • @Habbopingvinen yeah wtf was that?

  • @t22films Its weird :D

  • omg his is great!

  • You can get a real dolly tripod off eBay for about $35. n00bz

  • to secure the camera onto the dolly, just glue or screw another three PVC end caps to the dolly, place the tripod inside each one and secure it with a rubber band with hooks!

  • 3:09 What ??????

  • Lose those puppets, please.

  • Quick get help hocked to 'Indy Mogul'

  • what with beach dude in the middle of the vid

  • 3:11 wtf?!?

  • Dude you need adult braces on your teeth. No really.

  • Hey what did the inside of the spongebob ride look like!?!

  • 3:11 subliminal beach message

  • you could use metalpipes instead of PBC pipes. and they are easlyer to bend ;)

  • where can I find skateboard wheels that cheap ?? website please ??

  • Ebay has loads of cheap wheels.

  • my tripod has wheels that move freely and smoothly-no need for this!

  • @LifelineStudios And if you want to go over a bumpy surface? Then what, son!?

  • 3:11 wtf

  • Yay steve we all miss you!

The build is good, but I don't think I have space for making it X_X

  • If you want to use only 4 wheels you can use the Aluminium L joints as a track (You need to have longer ones though) and just fix each side of the wheels to each corner of the track base.

  • cant u just use curved pbs pipe the under the places that hane no support put some 1 by 3s

  • Well done! Amusing!

Love the sound effects and sillines!

    keep it up!

  • 3:11 wtf?

  • it was supposed to be the thumbnail

  • hey, it goes to show... even indymogulers like to be spontanious!

  • For a curved track, you can buy 1 to 3 inch ABS black plastic pipe used for irrigation on farms or nurseries. It's flexible yet rigid enough for a 50lbs camera and gear. The track wheels will keep the track straight. Cheers.

  • You know you can slightly heat the PVC pipe with a small butane tank and move forwards as you heat it to create a curve, also you can take the skate wheels and afix then to casters so they will follow the curved pipe, you know it really doesnt take a brain surgeon to figure it out.

  • oh yea of cores let me just get my butane tank out of my garage oh wait i don't have one!!! oh and excuse me and everyone ells for not knowing everything!!!!!

  • It's great you have to wait for commercials on youtube now.

  • Seriously. I used to rely on youtube BECAUSE they had no ads! :(

  • @TheLolcast I think you get paid for placing adds on your videos now. I got an email from them for some old cellphone videos that had a good amount of hits. They were asking to place adds at the bottom. So now Youtube will be full of adds.

  • @jeffbrent press f5 and it should refresh the page and skip it.

  • @jeffbrent YouTube is free and they have to make money somehow. Ads don't bother me for a free service.

  • @jeffbrent

OOHOOO! You funny because they realy pain in the ass!

Is not great at all! OOooo. :)

  • eric Im wondering how to get that smooth felling camra moving from far in the sky to low on the grond, such as thoses of amarcan Idol and music vids.

  • @bandclinens Well, do u own a helicopter?

  • @TripNFallProductions no but I have a swifer!!! :)

ps. a swifer is one of those brooms that swerve.

  • @bandclinens vertical dolly.... it has a long pole that extends it up then back down... if that is what you mean

  • you need a camera jib

  • @bandclinens You mean Jib Arm

  • It's never a trip to Jersey :(

  • What size wheels (in millimeters) did you use for this dolly?

  • you could heat up the pvc so it bends

  • but if you burn it you will die from the fumes

  • oh... seriously

  • that soda cost 5

  • what the hell does a dolly do

  • Makes the camera pan from side to side.

  • Actually, it makes it SLIDE (or GLIDE) from side to side. Panning is when your camera's on a tripod and you rotate it.

  • Theres a difference between dolly and pan (pan, moving the camera from left to right etc.... Dolly, moving the camera forward and backwards)

The two movements can be combined. But I think you got the idea if you didn't already know and understand all this... Sorry... film student speaking...

  • stable and steady shot

  • You put the camera and the cameraman onto the dolly to get smooth shot instead off hand held shakefest you get with every step you take

  • wtf is this at 3:11

  • that could be great for my project!

  • I love when you go over budget. Sorry Eric but...BRING THE PAIN GARY!

  • What is that at 3:11?! Some random guy on the beach?

  • To Make A curved One Do the same thing But use Curved P.V.C Pipe

  • to curve, just take a hose and make a smaller camera board and a thinner length of the wheel bar and but it on the hose, it curves smoothly and beutifully

  • Where the heck can you get skateboard wheels, and bearings that cheap?

  • an old one in ur garage

  • ebay. HOORAY FOR ebay!

    Hey, that rhymes!

  • I really like this design but I want mine with a seat so you can sit down and operate It. Im making this today and will try and tweak It to my specifications.

  • THAT WOULD BE FUN TO RIDE IN!

and be good for filming too..

  • for me the alluminum was the most

  • i made mine for 30 dollars

  • I remember this on one of the 200 Channels, I think it was the science channel :O

  • WTH @ 3:11?!?

  • Comment removed

  • I was able to make mine for 18 bucks

  • When did they make a dolly in the past?

  • the dolly episode

  • how do u attach the L shape aluminum to the wood????????

  • to attach the alluminun just use bolts and a drill. should work fine

  • DUCTTAPE! or just use screws...

  • how would you make the wheels and dolly compatible with a curved pvc track?

  • use wheel bearings

  • What if you want a curved track how would u do that?

  • If you heat up pvc it will become pliable and you will be able to bend it into the desired shape. Once bent you can cool it off with a cold wet rag and it will keep it's new shape. If you do this be sure to do it in a well ventilated area because the fumes are dangerous.

  • or buy two hoses and that will work just as well

  • That's what he says at the end. He wants us to decide, what a square box.

  • lol 4:39

  • lol

  • Just use a really thick clear plastic tube/pipe

  • You can use the wider type (3/4") of garden hosepipe for making curved tracks. if it can't hold the weight, fill it with something. compressed air should be good if you have an air compressor. you can also use water, sand, or polyurethane foam if you can find a way to fill the whole pipe. sand might make it less flexible, and heavy. water will also make it heavy.

  • what was with the kid running down a beach in that short quick second clip at 3:11 ?????

  • It was halway through the video, therefore being the default thumbnail clip.

  • if you noitice thect kid running down the beach is a clip from the test film

  • I can't find the plans on indy mogul! does anyone know where I can get them?

  • Comment removed

  • kewl

  • use spinny office chair wheels

  • lol

  • do it matter what size any of this stuff is? IE the L shape aluminium, the PVC Pipe

  • whats up with 3:11??

  • Subliminal Messages

  • how?

  • oops... bad edit, I guess...

  • dont forget to tell the people that they need bearings for the wheels, too.

  • vai mas é pro CARALHOOOO! ESSA MERDA NÃO CUSTA 40$...nem aki nem na china!!!

  • No need to heat them up , just have shorter pipe on one side than the other.. it will bend..

  • U could use less wheels and bend the PVCs U bend them by slowly heating them up.

  • Misc Hardware? What does that mean? How am I supposed to know what to buy? Thanks for being so descriptive. Couldnt you have taken 15 seconds to name the hardware?

  • wtf is that at 3:11?

  • it's that caveman in the test film! lol!

  • (refrence to drinking with bob) WHATS NEXT!? ILL TELL YOU WHATS NEXT!!!!!!

  • i went over budget and got this crappy piece of paper stapled to my back XD lol that had to suck

  • yo if you just heat up sund and dump it in the tube you can bend the pvc and it will harden

  • yea i know what did he say?

  • he said if you are shooting inside, tape trash bags against the windows to black out the sun

  • 1:39 lol and loooooooooool

  • those wheels are snazy, they look nice....

  • to make it curve, add another axis, like a swivel chair, add support to the pvc pipes every 5-7 feet, then add wheels to the bottom of your supports. this works best in big rooms or with small tracks

  • it said super time crusie

  • i just use a skateboard lol

  • this is what i do just tie your computer to a rope and have yourfreinds pull you its fun and easyer

  • buy curved tubes to make it turn

  • lmfao the lady and the little kid

  • how do you make a circular track in order to go around the actor(s)?

  • Super tom cruise wow

  • ok, here's a better and cheaper solution:

A tripod on wheels!!! For $39.95 you get this "dolly adapter" at BHPhotoVideo.

Check it out: Davis & Sanford W3 Universal Folding Dolly with 3" Ball Rubber Wheels.

    Now who needs a dolly?

  • what's best?... Using a dolly or a steadicam?

  • probably a steadicam.

    but it costs more.

  • a dolly is not a portable....the poor man's steadicam works best and it only cost me $20 to make. in my opinion it works better than the dolly but its just heavy.

  • Just buy a wagon and tape a tripod to it.

  • No, Because that would not have a track! And it would be bumpy, Plus you would look very unprofessional!

  • ah right.

  • good end song
