  • It's. Not to high if ur doing shoulders with chest and tris. I start with the decline the. Go flat then move up higher for each set then back down.

  • Easiest thing without equipment are push ups on your fist (with towel or something under because they can hurt.) At the most half a foot apart. Works wonders on the inner chest. Especially mixed with incline pushups.

  • Some researches show that you build the same amount on upper chest by doing regular bench as in incline, and that the only difference is that by doing incline you loose much of the build you would get on the other parts of the chest...

    And I've also heard that decline is even more effective than both regular and incline... feels right when lifting decline that the whole chest is working (more than when incline)

  • yeah i made homemade weights they weigh ruffly around 40 pounds and its just 4 1.5 bottles of water tied to a bar 4 on each side and it gets the chest working after about 5 reps of 10 and i use a yellow recycle bin just tip it over and its almost flat so i know im working my chest cause it burns like fuck

  • @norman5757 lower pec muscles are developed from decline benchpress witch builds mass and decline fly's which will help bring witdth to you your chest also for lower chest check out doing dips they really help and will give u a burn

  • @hitps101 yes. they get bigger with heavier weights and more defined with less weight and more reps, plus do lots of cardio to keep your body fat % down, that way you see every single muscle fibre, giving you that ripped look that everyone wants

  • @TheycallmehQuiet deadlifts - pushups - squats - clean and press - sit ups - chinups - bench press and dips - eat lean, which means fish, chicken, and turkey.. drink lots of water.. no pain no gain tho so dont do things half assed.. just dont hurt yourself by over doin it or showing off. start slow.. warm up before lifting heavy. have fun with it and good luck

  • If u are not fat, I suggest u take creatine as supplement. For performance, take it 1hr b4 ur training, for repair, take it after ur training.

    Chest-Dumbell flyes and presses are wonderful! Do barbell occasionally to give a "shock" effect to ur chest muscle as we can usually carry heavier using barbell.

    Legs- Do barbell half squats. Do not do full squats for heavy weights. They will damage ur knee.

    Overall strength-Do dead lift. U gonna love it man.

  • the wrong thing here is that half squats are more damaging to the knee than full squats, full squats are great for knee health

  • Nope. I did say full squats with heavy weights are damaging to knee.

    However, light weight full squats are useful in building a stronger joint.

  • that was the first thing that the instructor taught me about training the clavicle head of the pecks. not to set it too high as the anterier delt takes over the load. secondly.... mind muscle connection: ya got to feel the area working and good contractions, if ya cant feel the pressure on the upper pecks more than likely your delts and triceps are taking the load, lower the weight and keep the elbows out wide away from the body.

  • Actually using a "Swiss" ball (that's just a name for any exercise ball) is a great way to do many "bench" and other exercises with or without dumbells. They are durable and cheap. One imporant thing often over looked, get the correct SIZE exercise ball (depends on your height) read box to learn which size is for you, and keep them inflated to the proper size. Just a couple inches too inflated or under inflated makes a world of difference.

  • i dont always like someone explaining on how to dp certain exercises with their shirt on. they should keep the shirt off for us to see on their figure

  • How about doing them on a swiss ball? We don't have that kind of stance bench at our gym, so is it possible to just use the swiss ball? You'd be building up on your stabilizers as well.

  • Ive never wasted my money on gym equipment. Ive always used equipment found in the home for lifting, like boxes filled with books, guitar amplifier, TVs. Ive never spent a penny on equipment like dumbells and benches, to me a its a waste of money. Just use your imagination to use things in your home for weight lifiting. You can get the same results.

  • Fair enough, but a set of dumbells couldnt hut, they arent very expensive if you find some second hand ones...

    Youd get better results, and it seems ackward using boxes and books and stuff around the house..but thats your choice

  • I've been wanting to develop my pecs. I don't have a bench yet. Should i just get a plain bench or a bench that can hold a barbell and that has the leg "thing" on the other end where u can puts weights on it? OR should i get something with that as well as a bar that u can pull down for your traps? I want a good overall work out. BUt the set with all those looks flimsy. Any recommendations?

  • get just a bench that can hold a barbell. those leg things are a waste of time and get in the way. just do squats with the barbell instead

  • At the end of the video, he does that chest workout on the bench. I have tried doing this workout, but I feel like I am working out my triceps and biceps more than my chest because my chest is not sore at all after I finish. What am I doing wrong?

  • bench press doesnt involve the biceps.

    dont worry about your triceps burning out before your pecs. your triceps will gain strength and you will improve your technique with time. when i started i was pushing up two 15kg dumbbells and i was having the same problem as you, not feeling any burn on the pecs. but now im on 40kg, and feel it, its just a matter of time.

  • Thanks man, u explained it very well, so you're saying if I do it more often, then I will eventually get stronger triceps and that will result in me working out my triceps less and thus focusing on my pecs, right?

  • yeah your triceps will get stronger and allow you to put more stress on your pecs. also you could do a set of pec flies using cables or free weights before your set of bench press so that your pecs get a greater burn overall

  • the incline bench in my gym is madd steep i think this is my biggest problem..cuz i have a large lower chest and my middle is quite full, but my upper pec is smalll compared to the rest...i guess i know why now cuz i barely eva do dumbells always barbell..looks like ill be switchin up..

  • Incline benching works best because you'll get a fuller looking chest than a flat bench or decline. If you want to look like a Greek God or celebrity like Brad Pitt and Matthew McConaughey, then do either barbell incline or dumbbell incline benching. I also happen to know and exercise on Matthew McConaughey's workout.
