The Big Breakfast provided a stage for them to perform infront of a large live crowd, and a sizeable TV audience.

If this caused embarrassment to Placebo, is that not their own fault for accepting the gig?

I'm sure they didn't feel too bad about it when pocketing a decent wage earned off the back of this publicity.

I'm not trying to hate upon Placebo or their fans, but lets have a bit of ballance please.

Oh, don't take it so bad. Of course, every band has to make compromises in order to promote their music. And The Big Breakfast is not a bulls**t show at all. It's just not suitable for bands like Placebo.

I guess, as a band, is not very satisfying to see the audience not getting your message at all, but i think they were expecting this already.

This has just become hands down the best, most hilarious video i have seen in years. Every moment is pure gold. You got puppets swaying behind the amps, the dorky presenters dancing around like fools, the crowd cheering loudly every 10 seconds completely at odds with such introspective lyrics and the nature of the song 'Teenage Angst'! the band is forced to mime and then to top it all off and complete their humiliation the presenter calls them Menswear at then end!
