@neverpanic I am proud. I wish there was a place in Texas that I could actually shoot with my kids. All the ranges around here want money everything. It's nice to have some land where you can educate your kids in a safe enviroment. I am proud of all my children. They are all eager to learn.
It's good to hear. Maybe if gun owners take responsibility for their children's safety and teach and protect, perhaps we will gain trust of nongunowners. That my friends, will be a new beginning.
I too watched McKenzie's videos. I think all you Dad's out there teaching your daughters about weapons are doing the right thing. Every girl or young lady should know how to handle a firearm and do it safely. Maybe there would be less of them getting kidnapped, raped and killed if those scum got a bullet between their eyes when they tried. I want all my daughters to learn from the one that's 16 to the one that's 21 and the one that's 22. I want all my girls to know how to protect themselves.
@irishraider Amen! It's not all about guns. It's mental awareness. My kid can't carry a pistol walk around playing, but they can keep their head up. Look at the people's face walking by, car driving too slowly, keep distance but be polite. And sometimes, walk away fast.
Why would you not condone this? I feel bad for the children that grow up with absolutely no knowledge of firearms at all. Then when they are thrown in a situation where they are required there is no background of safety or knowledge of use. I think every kid should be trained to use firearms, it's better than the deluded vision they get from movies and video games.
@OwDaddyItHurts Don't get me wrong, I teach my children safety in every aspect, especially around firearms. I am stating that every idiot out there does not have to let their kid handle daddy's assault rifle because not all parents are bright enough to teach SAFETY along with FIELD STRIP. Some parents and some kids are not at a competent level of handling firearms. I agree about the movies and video games too.
@esh325 Man I agree. I believe my brother and my son made a comment about the AR being "complicated" when he was deciding between AR and AK. This should clear that air.
@TheDeadhead71 Yeah, that would be the whole reason to teach her this "skill". Otherwise it would be a waste. But if she cleans them, then she will want to shoot. If she shoots, then I need to reload 223. Well... let's just let her be happy with field stripping the damn thing for now. haha
Great ! Should be proud, Daddy. : )
