  • is it wrong that after i finish the main story that i collect and grind to level up each weapon for the weapon bio

  • ''You look upon me just as Oror did. It is the look of a man who knows only hope! Only hope.''

  • *music starts* Kaim! I won't let you take Urick's life!

  • @Mhdlcm Fail D: its Caim :3

  • @redredxx6 Rofl XD

  • @Mhdlcm *Stabs with black rebellion* SHAD UP D:

  • best start ever..

  • This. Is. Boss. Music. End. Of. Story. Fuck One Winged Angel. This. Right. Here. Is. How. It's. Done. And yes, I did have to write like that.

  • @AirshipCanon2 I like one winged angel, depending on the arrangement, but Fate has a special kind of uniqueness that you don't see much anymore from games.

  • Best song ever made hands down

  • wish they could make another Drakengard game following the 3rd Ending when Caim defeated Angelus and got his voice back, of course the main character would be Caim he's the best unlike that "good" boy nowe

  • @Yourizan Cavia's gone. Might want to try Nier for a different twist.

  • @Zr388 ikr? that's why i said "wish" cuz it won't never happen

  • @Yourizan If it followed the 3rd ending, then Nowe wouldn't even be born XD I like Nowe, though lol

  • @LukeFFabre I don't like Nowe he's so annoying and naive like Gismor said. one of the reasons I hate him he was always protecting Manah that witch! Nowe's story is kinda confusing I don't even know who's his mom or dad (I think Oror or Legna who cares) Drakengard2 was worth it cuz Caim Angelus and Urick. they shouldn't have made a sequel IMO they ruined the whole game killing Caim and Urick. I admit I love the second ending cuz Manah was gone forever. too bad Eris and Nowe didn't end up together

  • @Yourizan No, I'm saying that if a sequel followed the 3rd ending, then Nowe wouldn't be born because Inuart and Furiae are his parents (After they both entered a Seed of Destruction, but they are dead in the 3rd ending) I'll admit, though, Nowe DOES NOT have the amount of badassness that Caim has lol He was a bit too nice at points, and the Caim segments were my favorite in the game. If you want a sequel, you could check out Nier, which follows Drakengard's 5th ending :)

  • @LukeFFabre I thought Inuart and Furiae died in the first ending >.> Yeah I know what you mean also Caim would have his voice and both eyes back (stupid Manah) I probably will whenever I get a PS3 perhaps when I get Nier it will cost 15 bucks in the future (5th ending Caim and Angelus died as well ugh)

  • @LukeFFabre Inuart's Black Dragon and Legna don't look alike tho and I find the second story ridiculous compared to the first game besides Furiae didn't love Inuart. Furiae loved Caim and Caim loved Furiae screw Inuart >.>

  • @Yourizan I said the same thing about Legna, but I guess he just changed over time or something... or the developer's changed him to make him less obvious XD Anyway, Furiae didn't conceive Nowe. Furiae and Inuart sort of just fused, I guess, and made Nowe. The first story > the second, I agree. Much darker and far more interesting, and scared me a few times lol

  • @LukeFFabre Now I get it Nowe wasn't a normal human afterall he was some sort of creature freak UM Scared you sometimes? you must be a girl then o.o

  • Comment removed

  • @LukeFFabre LOL that explains it. I have played twisted games before Drakengard I wasn't surprised when I saw all that stuff and it was fun to kill giant babies with a sword UM never mind I used Arioch most of the times to kill the grotesqueries I loved her powerful magic attacks

  • @Yourizan His sword was the only good thing about him. In the second game I've read it does more damage to Caim than anything else.

  • @EmperorXaozx Just to clear some stuff up in this comment string, You don't see Inuart or Furiae after a certain part in the first ending of Drakengard because they enter the seed of resurrection together. Along with Legna's blood, this is what creates the new breed. Legna and the Black Dragon from Drakengard 1 are the SAME. It's all explained with the 'blood memory' of the dragons. Legna's 3rd form matches the black dragon perfectly.

  • @Zr388 I don't think I've seen that part. I wonder how Legna reverted to a weaker state rather than staying a black dragon.

  • @EmperorXaozx The blood memory of the dragons reverted him to a weaker state as there was no reason for him to be all strong, he was keeping a low profile until the right time.

  • @Zr388 I see now, I got to the cursed city in the first game and then I quit. I don't see what the deal would be. Nobody would know he's a dragon of the Empire.

  • @EmperorXaozx I see. Yeah.. it's a pretty long game and super repetitive, but the story is completely worth it. I love all the throwbacks to the first game in the second game and Nier.

  • @Zr388 Oh man did they connect the stories very well. It was a different type of fantasy and they had a very complex and detailed story, GREAT GAME.

  • @Zr388 Now I'm just grinding for weapons. I got these.

    Captured Goddess (Gismor)

    Pitch Black (Gismor)

    Yaha's Staff

    Hanch's Spear

    Zhangpho's Axe

    Caim's Sword

    Broken Iron etc.

  • @EmperorXaozx Aha I found it. This is from the second game:

A weak man falls in love with a dead woman. The black dragon binds them

The man enters the casket for love and greed. A significant union is achieved.

The black dragon attains enlightenment before the casket. He gains a name, a child.

He embodies very existence in his blood.

The red dragon offers to become a pawn.

The fallen dragon will be the key to a new world.

  • @Zr388 There are only TWO canon endings to Drakengard 1, those being the first (leading to Drakengard 2) and the fifth (Leading to Nier.) The question of who Furiae loved is irrelevant because she was a goddess. She couldn't have anyone. Inuart still became infatuated with her anyway. Caim loved her as a SISTER, but Furiae loved Caim as more than that. It's a very confusing story but you should look for the speech that was in the tomb from Drakengard 2. Clears a lot up.

  • @Zr388 Fuck Nier made me cry even more

  • No Drakengard...NO PSYCHOPATH HEROES?!

Great now I am stuck with Kratos as the sociopath spot

  • @OmegaChosen0 nier is the spiritual succesor of drakengard snd it's pretty good. Right the main char is not a lovable psycho like caim was but he is pretty ugly^6 which isn't something seen in jap games too often, and he is pretty obsessed with his daughter and getting her healthy again. He'll go to hell and back for 'er. Good story so far (only just beat th 3rd boss). Da hot but obviously psychobitch girl has made an appearance already

  • do you know how hot mana was FUCKING GORGEOUS

  • @GodzonFire90 Eris was superior to Manah and ten times gorgeously than Manah

  • uhhhh that song is the best in the whole world *-* i love this song so much ♥ <3 :3 its sooo nice but also sad *-*

  • Amazing song.

  • i was suprised when i fought caim and won. i was like nowe is better then caim, lies! but then the cutscene happened and caim was just like "no"

  • Well, if you think about it, if anyone could beat Caim, it would be his nephew. (Furaie being Caim's sister and kindasorta Nowe's mom. Yeah everyone focuses on the fact that he's Inuart's and forgets all about Caim's sister >>)

  • I like when this song was played for wen u fight manah, angelus and Caim b/c for some reason the sadness behind the music and the theme of the fights go very well together especially w/ manah and angelus since both were mentally unstable wen fighting them.

  • Man this is one of the better boss fight BGM.

I was heartbroken when I saw my idol burst into flames after Angelus' death. I was a bit happy that he could leave the world with her though, I mean he was practically by himself in the world, god knows what happened to Leonard because they DO make reference to him in the game, I don't want to know what aurioch is doin, Inuart dead, furiae dead, his parents dead, all he had was Angelus and he cared enough about her to slay an entire army.

  • He cared enough about her to end the world. After all, he killed the priest when he increased the stress the seal placed on Angelus, then continued on to break the seals one after the other, knowing that in the end he would only be able to see her once more. It's heartbreaking. To end the world to save the one you love, that's quite a choice to make.

  • And add to that, he knowingly almost ended Nowe, his NEPHEW's life trying to save her.

  • See that is true love right there, even though they were different species and note that he did not like dragons at the start of Drakengard but he was able to get so close to Angelus, the same species that killed his parents.

  • thats what i thought the book of seeds was saying but that creates a major plothole, furiae was the goddess it was my impression she couldn't do that and when was she pregnant and between her capture and her death that was nowhere near enough time. i tell my self this is drakengard so who knows what the rules are

  • She didn't need to be pregnant. She entered a seed of resurection with Inuart and as a result Nowe was created. Nowe wasn't 'concieved' he was technically created by the gods tool.

  • Hardest momments for me with this music:

    1: Uricks death

    2: Fighting manah

    3: fighting Angelis

    4: fighting Legna

Urick is first because he was the closest person to nowe. Manah because the Stage was just that depressing. Angelis over legna because legna kind of backstabbed nowe so I feel less (but still) sympathetic. Caim and angelis really loved eachother with the pact they made.

  • Mine would be

    1. Fighting Caim

    2. Fighting Angelus

    3. Fighting Legna

    4. Uricks death.

and I have so many more. there were so many instances in this game that were baww worthy, and if you played the first game you grew really attached to those characters before you're forced to kill them. God, I was in tears.

  • Did play the first one, I just like 2 more.

  • ah. I preferred 1 in relation to story.

  • Good freaken game Im still waiting for number 3, hopefully Caim had some follwers still knowing what really happened or at least he trained 4 teens to follow in his foot steps and not only correct things but avenge him and fight Nowe. Niw that'll be epic

  • Caim was not angry with Nowe, Caim only wanted to see Anglus(sp) one more time but seeing her driven crazy by the seal he was thankful that Nowe defeated his dragon so both Caim and Anglus(sp) could rest in peace. If there was a third game it would be how to release the goddess seal and free Nowe's friend. But they wrapped the game up well imo to not need a third. The story is one of sacrifice the ending was as heroic as it was sad, it represents the sacrifices all wars put upon our shoulders.

  • @veriden22

They still could do a third game...maybe base it before the first game...centre it around the dragons like Angelus and Legna. That would be very interesting I think.

  • @WolfkinNorthclaw They can't do a third game, it's really not possible with the way they severed all ties to the first by killing the major characters. It wouldn't work right. If you liked drakengard though, take a look at Nier. I hear you can see Angelus's dead body skewered on the top of a building in the background in game, and it makes other references to drakengard.

  • @Zr388 Poor Angelus....can't they leave the old girl alone? Well they could do a prequel...explore the background of the game more indept? Would be interesting to see...but tricky to do right.

  • @WolfkinNorthclaw I dunno, a prequel would be cool but I'd be more happy if they just left it alone. The first and second game get enough bashing as it is.

  • @Zr388 Yeah but the game's always gonna have haters those jelous of its brilliance.

  • @Zr388 The studio that made Nier and Drakengard went byebye not long ago. Sad sad day.

  • @kiunch REALLY? CAVIA WENT OUT OF BUSINESS?

  • @Zr388 They were absorbed into AQ Interactive, which strangely enough split off from Cavia as the "admin" branch, apparently. This happened two months after Nier's release. Why they re-merged as AQ instead of Cavia, I don't know. Cavia's a much nicer name.

  • xD The tears made my eyes watery so It was hard to see where he was moving, I was like goddamn my sensitivity xD

  • Legna kept beating me only because I started to cry a bit. xD

  • Join the club xD

  • great song for a great game. I loved this song when fighting Caim. I really wish he hadn't died. I think he was a better protagonist for the type of apocalyptic game that drakengard is than the stereotypical goody two shoes hero of light nowe. Caim was a sick and cold hearted bastard yes, but you can't help but wonder if such a darkness is what such a twisted world really needs in it's last hour, if it has any rel chance of salvation

  • I also think the strong piano music flows very well. It is like Manah, a little chaos, and some sorrow. Especially when the violins come in.

  • I couldn't agree more. With both of you of course. Fighting Legna was depressing... Great games seem to come accompanied by great songs though.

  • This song is so good thanks for uploading it, I played the game Drakengard 2, I finished all of the levels, especially the boss where I fought Legna, but I first heard this while I was fighting Caim, and while I was fighting the Past Manah, boy Manah was so strong and too powerful to beat, while I was fighting her, this song was so sad to me, it kinda suits Manah a little, it really does!
