at 0:44 thats travelling you lift your pivot foot before starting your dribble, nice footage, i am playing bball for a year now and with a couple of thes moves i scored a lot. :D
Thanks for posting this. I've been needing some examples of good post moves to learn and I've been able to emulate and even change some of the moves around to suit my style. But I've got a question: Did you have multiple takes on this video or is your accuracy always that dead-on? That's something I've got to work on myself, the finish.
I did miss some of my shot and layup attempts while filming, so I did cut some clips out. Like everyone else I never make every shot, but I thought the moves would look better if they ended up with a score.
Haha I like the way you think you use the same post moves as me.
There is so many different combos from ripping through baseline you could do. Its almost impossible for the defence to read them all. Next year im hoping to get a scolarship for nbl. Im 6'4 and make a career from ripping baseline.
oh, that's too bad. Also, most of the time post help defenders are going to be slightly towards you but right under the basket (right where you take your last step before you finish every time. I am just saying, it helps more if you put a chair right there and try to find a way around it. If you do that and build some muscle you can be a good post player even for a small man.
I agree and thanks for the advice. Since the video was recorded 1½ years ago, I've worked a lot on both things you said - building strength, explosiveness and adding more moves to counter a help defender. Now I'm just trying to get used to the physical play around the basket and learning to draw contact and still finish the shot.
I know what you meant. Well in my country of Denmark I see black and white people wear the same street clothes all the time..I normaly don't wear headband but my hair was getting a little too long back then..so if I wanted to be able to see the basket I had to wear the headband.... At the time I filmed myself (last summer) I was 20 years old.
thanks..I agree with you..I wasn't satisfied with that first one either and tried to work on the moves to make them more sharp and avoid the travelling

yeah, you are absolutely right that I travelled there. Sometimes when you rush your moves before you drible you the pivot foot will move a little.

that is good since post defenders are going to try to push around small men that penetrate.

Love the dream shake

:30 dreamshake and 1:50 duncan signature are your best moves. you use the backspin too much. Add a reverse pivot and hooks.

No, I passed the ball to myself as if it was thrown by another player. Notice I do that on most other occations before I start my move.
