  • GHW Bush said "Read My Lips, no new taxes!" and had to raise taxes to control the national debt after Reagan ran up the credit cards. Whoever gets in office this time will have to, it's just a matter of who pays. I've never seen us fighting wars and not raising taxes to pay for it or instituting the draft. No wonder our debt is so high. Low wage workers still pay into the tax system everytime they shop, as a percentage of their income, sometimes as much or more taxes than the rich.

  • I take the middle road, there are policies that both republicans and democrats put forth that can be equally right (or equally wrong!) In this case, I think that Obama is truly a visionary who is both capable and dedicated to making this a better place for all of us to live and prosper. I'm glad to see that people (of all parties) are getting it.

    Obama 08/12

  • Its really refreshing to see someone with a level head speak.

  • Yes, Susan Eisenhower is another one.

    Yeah!!!!! President Obama !!!!!!!!!!

  • Yaay. Excellent video.

  • Nice. Blame the whole party. Do you REALLY think Obama can deliver and NOT raise taxes? Come on man. Do the math. A HUGE majority of people don't PAY TAXES anyway. If you get a REFUND you are NOT PAYING TAXES. Look at the angry black man for what he is; a friend of terrorists and angry blacks. If he wins there will be more disappointment than anyone can ever imagine and people will demand he leave office. He will NOT deliver and CAN'T even start to. Bad choice for America.

  • Watching this gives me hope.

  • You are an honest man and help other republican to understand that.

  • I'd love to see a 'Democrats for McCain' video...lololololol.

    Obama/Biden 08

  • I love converted Republicans! I have several in my family and overhear converts talking in public all the time. Brings a smile to my face.

Although I have to say...George W Bush? Twice? I'm glad you saw the light at some point.

  • thanks doc!

  • I, like you, am a life-long republican and I agree 100% with what you have posted. Hopefully, after this election we will get our party back from the likes of Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity, etc.

  • Go Doc! Thank God you are not all blinded by "Family Values" that the repubs tout as being important to them. 8 years of the biggest bilk in American HX, it is nice to know at least on republican finally got it.

  • He too saw the change from McCain 2000 and can no longer support what he knows is wrong. God Bless him and the freedom we have to change our minds and come together to solve the problems we face.

  • I guess it is not only me, I voted for Bush twice and that is the worst mistake I did. This is a year of change... I a leaning Obama or Bob Barr or just sit at home this time...

The carl rove's tricked America big time in the last eight yrs.

    God bless America.

  • this is a very cool video!

  • That's pretty awesome that people are open minded like that. we need more people to be like that!

  • I'm a Obama supporter, but i think you guys in charge of this page need to not edit posts. it seems like censorship. the mccain page allows all posts and his supporters constantly bring up the fact that this pages edits posts. we have nothing to fear. Obama 08

  • It takes maturity and vision to do what you have done Dr. It is worthy of emulation

  • i AM A DIE HARD dEMOCRAT!! ALWAYS HAVE BEEN AND THIS ELECTION FURTHER SOLIDIFIES MY CHOICE. ALL HAIL OBAMA!!! AMERICAS MESSIAH!!!!

  • * * * OBAMANOMICS * * * * *

    1. Lower taxes for middle class

    2. Accessible Health Care for all.

    2. Reduction of dependence on Oil.

    3. Promotion FAIR international trade.

    4. Reform for the broken financial system.

    5. No more excessive spending in WAR.

A plan for economic recovery. A smart president for America.

I am a well informed and educated American,

and I support OBAMA for President of the United States.

  • Vote America- Vote Obama 08!

  • WHAT a brave man! that truly is putting your COUNTRY FIRST!

  • i would be more likely to believe obama if the people who defended him did not use words directly from his mouth

  • I live in Wisconsin. And I approve this message!

  • Thank you so much for speak up. I do not agree with everything Obama has done but yesterday at rally for McCain and Palin i saw people yelling "kill him", and cursing the African American camera man who was filming the event. These are not the values of what was once such a respected Republican party. I had the utmost respect for what McCain lived through. And as the daughter or Marine, and the granddaughter or a world war 2 veteran, i must say these are not the actions of an honorable man. O/B

  • Very good insight, very nice man. Just please don't refer to other countries as "children". To see other countries as somehow underdeveloped is a disastrous distraction from reality. In fact, a lot of countries around the world have a higher standard of living than the US, better educational systems, better functioning democracies and much moor free and controversial press. If you look out of the box at times, you could actually learn something to make your own country better.

  • WELL DONE.....

    "YES WE CAN"

  • My father who died about 4 months ago who was a life long republican, voted for Bush both times, but supported Obama over any of the republican candidates that ran in this election. He like many other good republicans realized that the only way for america to improve is to break off from the policies they have supported the past 8 years. Obama is the perfect man for the job at this point in history, regardless of political affiliation.

  • Yea im from milwaukee brew city baby and now im living in central florida (Palm Coast) and im voting for Obama & Biden 08.

  • thanks for stepping up. looking at the issues and picking the best leader. I hope others hear you.

  • thank you for speaking out !!!!!

  • So many Americans vote for the party and not the man. It's good to see that some people vote for the man(even if it is usually with the same party).

  • I'm pretty moderate, not registered to any party. Liberal on some issues, conservative on others. I really respect the Republican party but I just hate to see where it's gone now.. Thanks to the guy in the video for standing up for what you believe is right.

  • The Republican party isn't the same as it was 30 years ago. The McCain campaign is on the ropes, and sadly it's no surprise they're responding with attacks and outright lies. John McCain and Governor Palin are setting a new low in presidential politics with their dishonorable campaign. It's clear why John McCain doesn't want to talk about the issues facing ordinary Americans -- especially the economy, which his own advisers admit he can't talk about without losing.

  • Agreed.

  • Wow an Obama supporter standing in front of the Republican Birth House...awesome. Im glad to know not all Republicans are so blind to see the truth. :D

  • U r blind!

  • AN HONEST MAN!

  • AN HONEST MIDDLE CLASS MAN!

    Obama/Biden '08!

  • YES! I'm from Waukesha, WI. (one of the highest republican voting counties in WI) And I'm so happy to see this! We just put up our signs today and I feel great. This is wonderful.

    OBAMA/BIDEN

  • Dr. Robert Newton has finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel. Lets just hope that there are more Republicans like Dr. Newton.

  • But Obama and America, don't talk about us in the rest of the world as your children. The countries don't need being isolated, but they need your respect too.

  • You are right, my foriegn friend....are you from another country, that' fine w/ me I'll check.

  • Thank you for letting this stay. I have so much hope in Obama connecting to the rest of the world again, raising the respect for America everywhere.

  • I understand Doctor, I used to vote GOP party line all the time except, thankfully, for George W. Many times I voted "R" on my ballot here in Missouri, but never again!

  • Thats awsome! I love the fact that Obama was a professor of constitutional law.

  • This is awsome! Hey you know what I love about Obama, he was a professor of constitutional law.

  • Wow, for a European this is really interesting: If you have a child who is misbehaving, you can't look the child up in the closet. This is the way Americans view us, the rest of the world, like their children. Wow.

  • I hope that more Republicans have the courage to stand up to their party and lean a new and different way this election. So many people feel they are betraying their party if they go the other way. They are really betraying their future this time if they don't.For his reason I am an Independant.I won't categorize myself to any one way of thinking.Come on Reps. Pull together and have a voice. Obama '08

  • wow I love this video! I'm sure he's not the only republican who's voting for obama =]

we need a change people and not go to the same crisis for four more years plz.

let's vote people for obama 2oo8!!

  • It is imperative, that people go out and vote in force. The republicans need a time out, and a message sent to them, that the country is sick of their corruption, sleazy tactics, and that they have strayed from what they were supposed to be about. Vote in large numbers and send a message. Its not good enough to have Obama win the 270 required votes, you need to make sure to have YOUR voice heard.

  • i'm a proud liberal democrat. my wife is a life-long conservative republican. on november 4, we're both voting for Barack Obama and the great Joe Biden. and the doubters said we'd never find common ground:)

  • Equating a dangerous country to a stubborn child... funny! Good on him anyways

  • wise man....wise words...obama/biden

  • great vid

  • "I just have to rely on the good judgment of the voters not to buy into these negative attack ads. Sooner or later, people are going to figure out if all you run is negative attack ads you dont have much of a vision for the future or you're not ready to articulate it."

  • That edited Obama logo was quite creative. :)

  • Thank you, Dr. Newton.

  • I love this. As a Wisconsin native, I grew up in a Milwaukee suburb that was mainly conservative, but was raised liberal.

My uncle, who runs 6 businesses, was put in charge of doing all of Obama's print work and he operates out of Fox Point, Wisconsin.

McCain is holding 3 more rallies in WI this month alone. We know that Obama is best for Wisconsinites, and for the nation as a whole.

GO Republicans for OBAMA! This is just the start of something incredible!!!

  • Great graphic at the beginning.

    Ohio, Go Blue!

    Pennsylvania, Go Blue!

    Florida, Go Blue!

    Colorado, Go Blue!

  • I love to see republicans turn the page on partisanship, and do what is best for the greater good of the country. Almost brings a tear to my eye.

The thing that stande out most about this video, is that this guy is not turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to the recent testimony of John Mccain. A testimony of above the fray politics that he has trashed, replaced with scandalous smear attacks all don for the sake of winning an election.

    The world is watching.

    Obama/Biden 2008!

  • If you obvious want change to vote. If your state has early voting, do it early so you can drive others when election day comes to the polling place and second you get it out of the way and you don't have to wait in long lines come Nov 4th. All I can say is if you don't vote then it gives McCain a better chance of winning that state and the election. So if you don't want that to happen, go out and if can vote early and on Nov 4th take time out to take other to polling places to vote.

  • Smart man. It's time for a change.

  • This is a man who really cares about this country

  • I'm unhappy with the way Senator McCain and Palin are getting in front of everyone and telling lies and half truths. Palin stands there laughing and she is so unqualifed to be President if the need accures

  • I love this video.

  • Amazing video.

  • He makes a lot of sense. It's really quite ignorant to vote for someone just because you're a supporter of their political party. We should all look at the candidates for what they believe, what they plan to do, and if they have truly have any means of actually doing it. We shouldn't vote simply based upon political party. If everyone would practice what this man is doing, then we'd be a lot better off as a country.

  • awesome video. Lets all get out there and help get people registered so we can win this election.

  • I like how Republicans are seeing what's best for everyone. I want to see change in the next 4 years or maybe 8 if Obama goes for a second time. You don't have to vote for someone from the party you like but for what's best for not yourself but every living person.

    Obama/Biden '08!

  • excellent points no matter what party affiliation he is

  • Rock on Midwest... I heard another one from Indiana... this says alot about Obama.....

  • WELCOME ABOARD! Next stop, getting the country back on track...

    OBAMA/BIDEN 2008

  • Obama&Biden'08

    Vote!Vote!

  • The DOW was down another 700 points today falling below 8000 for the first time in more then 5 years. We need some one who can bring us out of the nightmare we face. The Republicans can't do it they created this mess were in. We need real "change" Obama/Biden 08

  • Keep up the message to all your friends and especially the undecided! Those are the ones we need to vote! NO MORE MCBUSH!

  • Welcome to the light.

  • Those who listen know that only Obama has a Vision and a clear direction where he wants to take America.

  • so sweet

  • Ah, Republicans that are not blind and see the light. I love it. ^_^

  • I really love the Logo / Identity! It's so creative and original and has a synergistic theme. I wonder who designed the logo and did the animation...!

  • keep in mind they support obama, not necessarily democrats, but at least they are willing to go outside of their party in this election.

  • That, and Midwesterners can connect with Obama unlike most candidates. And Midwesterners are the truest of Conservative GOP. HE WILL WIN THIS ELECTION!

  • excellent video!

  • There's a 90% chance, that Obama will win on 4th of november.

  • how do you know? i'm an obama supporter from england and i need proof! i'm so scared! haha xx

  • Hehehe.

  • Keep them coming. Obama actually has a vision.

  • WOW! obama08

  • This is great. I do not form to any certain party. I do not like most Republican politics. I do not like GWB at all. ANd McCain is going the wrong way. I live in Madison WI. A very liberal city overall, and I am very happy to see that people in WI are voting for what the believe and want. And knowing that there is one man in Ripon, let's me know there are people making the same decision as him, throughout the nation.

    I'm voting Barack Obama.

  • I know that there are many more republicans out there who agree that the US deserves a change. I'm proud of these men and women not just because of who they are voting for but also because they aren't buying the divisive campaigning.

  • so true go obama

  • I'm an Independant who's voted Republican most of my life. I consider myself pretty conservative on economic issues. I'm voting Obama this year because he's the one whose economic plan works on paper and is best for the American people. And also because he happened to choose a running mate that I wouldn't be ashamed to see in the White House.

  • Great to see another republican like myself voting for Obama! I have been turned off by McCain/Palin's lies and negative ads lately. All McCain did was attack Obama's character instead of telling us what McCain will do for us when we infact are losing our jobs, and our houses. I am so tired of my republican party!

    ~former republican for Obama/Biden08!

  • This video made my day !!

    OBAMA 08 !!

  • FIRST

Yes We Can Come on Obamacans Lets elect Obama President.

  • Obamacans rock!

  • I am a Democrat for Obama.

  • Very uplifting. Together we can heal this nation.

    OBAMA/BIDEN 2008!

  • This man is a good human being!

    Obama/Biden 2008!

  • A thinking Republican- way to go!

  • im voting for obama.i voted for bush four years ago.republicans for obama, mccain just cant fix this economy

  • We find ourselves at a crossroads. We as a nation are about to make the single most important choice we have ever been given. Move forward in to uncharted areas, or stand stagnant reeking of the failed policies of the past. The republicans are running scared. They know their days are numbered. They know this because the American people want and will choose to move forward. McCain is attempting to divide our nation once again, inciting hate and ignorance. We must and will reject this. We are one.

  • OBAMA FOR THE WIN!

  • Barack Obama '2008

This is our last chance for change!

  • The second to view this??

I'll continue to support Barack Obama and Joe Biden (all the way from Brunei).

    The world needs them both.
