I hear ya' Rafferty, and I'm not for turning people into charity cases, but I got a pretty good Public education (Socialism?), if my house catches on fire, I want firemen to show up (Socialism?) Policemen...Libraries....The Military....I mean the biggest employer is The Government.

When the hyper capitalists on Wall St F-ed up - where did they go for a bailout?

The only thing worse than Gov't is unregulated rule by the rich and their goons. That's corporate Feudalism.

This is obviously a bright, educated, well-meaning individual, but I'm just reminded, again, of how much intelligence, analysis and energy goes into making more money. In a world with real catastrophic problems and daunting challenges, so many of our best minds are trying to figure out how to connect dots like stoned kids, pizza, jamming musicians' CD sales ......money.

I hope we can buy a new planet if we need one.
