@Persistantthug I don't know, Nintendo didn't say. I thing it may be 1G or less. But, with the added use of USB Hard Drive it will help Nintendo sell apps but get rid of the expensive internal hard drive, and they can sell just one sku model and not have to worry about what type of hard drive goes in to the console. Almost like the PS3 and any Labtop Hard Drive. That was the only thing I think Sony Got right with the PS3 over the Xbox 360 Proprietary hard drive mess.

The ability for third party or add ons are nice, but they are almost meaningless in terms of game development because only Very few minority actually get upgrades.

If it is indeed only 1Gig or so, that is pretty much nothing. It means that Nintendo isn't planning for a more robust and expanded network infrastructure, which also signals a potential subpar online gaming structure as well.

It work when Nintendo let you run off SD Cards (Microsoft and Sony did the same thing with there consoles to.), it's just now Nintendo is letting you do the same thing with any USB Hard Drive you can buy at WalMart or Bestbuy.

Consoles are made to be simple and idiot proof.....as in, what you have you're stuck with. Yes, some people will upgrade such as with the PS3's optional ability to get harddrives, but in relation to the VAST MAJORITY of people with PS3s (approx 60 million), very few of those owners actually do.

What you're not getting is the fact that Genesis 32X and Sega CD failed for the exact same reason that I'm trying to explain to you.

typically, in general, Developers don't program for "get it yourself" add on peripherals, and the majority of console owners don't buy them...especially when it comes to storage devices.

If Wii U doesn't have a harddrive, then its an AUTOMATIC FAILURE...Might as well be a 32X.
