oh no, the physics totally suck. Absolutely not! they are awesome when watching how the rope bridge actually stretches and shit. The fact that the boards did not break just proves crytek didn't think of dropping a truck on them

- the rope bridge actually stretched! I love Crysis and its physics- of course the game devs couldnt let this bridge be breakable since that would break the script and game play of the map.

the bridge breaking has nothing to do with what direct x your using, i think it's the level at which you physics are set too....

it wont break if its medium or lower. it's the same for buildings...

I don't know if this is why but I do use DX10 and the bridge does break for me, very easily actually.

i was stuck on that mission when the bridge broke and i somehow did the mistic jump or realy far jumping and somehow managed to cross it only to find that the objective was on the other side.

either because he edited the parameters for the bridge, or he has physics on low

neither, everything was on high, and I have even tried this on very high. I didn't edit the parameters, I think crytek just messed them up in the first place...

@EvOLUT10N4RY no, it's because they weren't active in the first place, that's whats glitchy about them, they seem to have to be "activated" (come into contact with something) for them to be physically affected. touch the bridge first, than try this.

No, this was done with everything on High, I've since then tried it with everything on Very high, and it was still the same.

There's no difference between the physics in DX9 and DX10, this bridge is so strong because you edited it's parameters... But i asume you already know that ;)

i didn't already know that, but I also havnt edited any of the bridges parameters, that is as the bridge was made by the people at crytek, i just spawned in the big truck above it as you can see.
