i have the same exact truck mines a 4x4 automatic king cab it used to look like that but i cleaned it u and now all i have to do is replace a bent valve get a new exhaust and planing on a new muffler right now it sounds like yours but with more of a pop and when it idles it does the same sound just slower

@phatrides222000 well what was wrong with it is that the engine sat for six months with minimal work to get it to run again and the exhaust was gutted , basically it was a huge p.o.s

@kenchen3000 from what i told is that the truck i bought only had 3000 miles put on it in 3 yrs, but yea i think the exhaust is what i hear. Doesn't look like it burns oil though.

haha, a water pump has nothing to do with shifting, nor does it have to do with the chip, it has to do with worn parts on a truck that is this old.

@kenchen3000 you want to put a chip in a nissan truck. lol. why? there isnt a computer chip in the world that will increase the power enough on any vehicle or motor that is in good mechanical condition to do engine damage but even if it were possible it wouldnt do any damage to the water pump.
