  • WAW que inicio tan genial de Jimi *-* eres genial!! lml el mejor guitarrista de toda la historia *-*

  • Jimi Hendrix died because Jesus needed guitar lessons

  • I always thought Jimmi could have made this song better by adding more soloing. It is such a cool song anyway.

  • Yes and some reverse guitar tracks.............And yes...I havvvvvvve.....

  • You missed a line of lyrics. Near the end he say "Trumpets and Violins I can hear in the distance, I think they're calling our names"

    LSD!!

  • This song is like a mystic journey to the center of the universe on a cloud made out of pot smoke and love.

  • This album has always taken me out of this world damn.

  • I am experieced! Not necessarily stoned but beautiful! Jimi come back please!

  • @germax1989 who said he ever left.

  • 1:50

Sampled and used as the chorus to Cypress hill's 'How i could just kill a man'

  • GiveUsAllBackOurBlues

  • I saw jimi at red Rocks Colorado summer of 68. Best Concerts I've seen Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley & The Wailers , Paul McCartney & Wings, Third World, Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers

  • I saw him at the Bushnell Memorial Hall in Hartford, CT in August, 1968. He later appeared at Yale in November of the same year. I'll never forget the beginning notes of 'Purple Haze' balsting loudly before the curtain even opened. Then the curtain started to draw back and jimi was slow-stepping forward toward the front of the stage still plunking the Purple Haze notes. He was dressed in what looked like a black silk ninja outfit, white boots underneath the flared bell bottoms and a headband.

  • This song is so underrated

  • Fuck these stupid R&B-pop ads on these psychedelic videos. If I wanted to hear R&B-pop I'd go to Vevo, the refuge of today's shit music scene.

  • @Sortsdam YUP

  • Porra que solo, e pra ser sincero o vocal é demais também posso escutar isso 1.000.000 de vezes !!! thx Hendrix

  • Jimi's guitar wails a combo of Native American rhythms/overtones and sitar variances from India with bluesy rock framework. I saw him play this! A unique creation for its time and will always be a legend. Maybe now you can't hear them ...but you will! Listen again.

  • @rbguitar219 where did you see him?

  • 1 person isn't experienced...

  • ahhh let me prove it to you......

  • i love to sit back and jam this song on my ipod when im on cloud 9

  • Could you imagine if you walked into a job interview and the interviewer just busted out with this ? like Dave Chapelle / Monty Python style ... lol "are you experienced?" just sounds like a job interview question
