  • S & M baby! Yeah! But the fake tan looks cheap here though.

  • Forgot how much I loved Gary's music and other synth bands at the timeI want to go back to 1981/82 for a couple of nights, has anyone got a time machine?

  • I want my "80 back!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @badamj2000

    except that he isn't - so shouldn't

  • @badamj2000 But I LOVED that cybrg ice queen! : (

  • @badamj2000 But I LOVED that cyborg ice queen! : (

  • @badamj2000 Gary Numan is married with kids... He's not gay...

  • @olliesskatepark Indeed not! Lol. Even if he was he was still brilliant.

  • I dont know this song. fascinating.

  • Superb!

  • kazandra1 enjoyed reading your comment as I did something similar all those years ago and loved every minute of it lol. Not sure I looked as good as Gary in the leather and metal poles outfit I knocked up tho haha...............

  • @MACHMAN1930 There were a few of us doing this back then... chasing the Numan coach after the gig to find out what hotel he was staying at. lol. Managed to sneak into a few after show parties too. Great days. :-)

  • Myself and a few friends followed most of this tour... a long and gruelling one...sleeping three in my old car. Nightmare at the time - cold, hungry, ran out of money except for fuel (but petrol was only 60p a gallon then!), falling asleep at the wheel getting to the next gig...but what a riot! And not only did we have Numan, we had the best support band ever, Tik and Tok!

  • @Kazandra1 Good old Days.

  • @Kazandra1 Good Old Days

  • @Kazandra1 tik and tok the robotic dancers they were brilliant, numan was excellent at sonisphere 2010 cant wait for 1st april manchester academy!!!!

  • @Kazandra1 damn deadbeat numanoids!

  • @leonakita WTF? who the hell are you to call me a deadbeat!? I am neither lazy nor in debt. Back then I was a teenager, and had a job, which I took holiday from to follow the tour. I had my own car, which I had paid for. I owed nobody nothing. I just ran out of money on the tour. I am now a Mother of children, and run my own company. Deadbeat? NOT!

  • @Kazandra1 but, you are a Numanoid, aren't you?

  • Nice Share

  • the warriors tour rocked !! the stage set up was excellent sort of a new york roof tops set up brilliant

  • numan makes me happy, haha or happy when im sad

  • Great vid.

    .66.

  • The best song from Gary

  • He looks like Rob Halford !!

  • HOly Sh*t!! your right!!!

  • yes a cross between Rob Halford and Jobe from the movie lawnmower man

  • ROFL..I know, I want to redo his hair and look here soooo badly.

  • I love this album and the image etc...I thought Strange Charm was alot weaker but a SOSO Numan album is better then most artists best work/

  • You have watched 91 videos Laura - p leese! If you do not like youtube don't watch - you were after all only 13 when this was happening!

  • Comment removed

  • I don't mean to be horrid, dear, but that's a bit hypocritical. Your last comment was only to tell someone that THEIR opinion was wrong and that they're full of crap.

    Ironic much ?

  • attended the warriors tour .........excellent a genius and an artist......orginality is in the eye of the beholder.......one persons original thoughts are anothers plagerised nightmares.........

  • anyone knows who sang the backing vocals on Poetry and Power? I think it was very unusual for Numan to use male backing vockals the only other song I remember was The Secret with Zaine Griff...

  • Bill Nelson (ex-Bebop Deluxe, well-respected solo artiste), who co-produced most of the LP but fell out with Numan and had the credit removed.

  • I adore Numan and have since the late seventies. Like all long-term artists, he's made a few weird choices along the way but he still kicks ass. He lost me with this album, however. Won me back as always but I just couldn't rock the warrior period...sob...

  • I love gary but this is one of his worst albums, apart from poetry and power

  • im a big numan fan and i have to admit Stormtrooper in Drag wasnt great. But thats mainly cos of the vocals.

  • bring crackerjack back,

  • Was that safe for children to watch I wonder? Great, very imaginative, creative and stimulating, just as this sort of muzi-art should be.

  • I'm sure all the bands you listen to produce only top ten hits. They probably smell like roses too don't they?

What a moronic comment. All bands have bad songs.

  • So you admit Gary Numan produced some bad songs. Thanks for agreeing.

  • Warriors is a very under rated album, it has some greats ong but ventures a bit too far away from what made him good in the first place

Musically it is great but it is quite un-Numan ish

That said this song, This Prison Moon, My Centurion and Love Is Like Clock Law are great songs

  • Agree with you! I also adore "The Iceman comes" (for me one of the best Gary's songs)and bonus track "My car slides".

  • I wish someone would post Numan's Jam:Love is Like Clock Law. I love that song!!!!

  • Good call. My Centurion & Rhythm of the Evening great songs.

  • Love is like Claw-Claw? don't forget "Rhythm of the Evening": "look at your face.....it's so fortunately arranged!" lol. wasn't "This Prison Moon" written by his brother or something?

  • unique

  • Wow...his legs look still hot, even today!!!

  • Crackerjack!

Good luck to the guy trying to mime Bill Nelson's guitar parts :-)

Looking forward to the Replicas Tour in 2008

  • Oh GOD! The old stuff rules!! *boogies!*

  • Here Gary was fresh like Citrone. free as everytime.

Atheism , we love it .

    Bad , ending is cut..

  • Dude, this was taped more than 20 years ago. If you're still getting your knickers in a twist over how seriously someone took themselves in 1983, you're the one who needs help.

  • lol yep and the die-hards wonder why this berk had the piss ripped out of him. I'm a fan of Numan 78-82. The rest has been embarassins crud. I remember showing the Warriors album cover to a mate at school his reaction "What a c***!" lol!! spot on!!!!!!!!!!!

  • same here man.i`ve been hammering this with abuse but only `cos his early stuff was pretty decent..discopiss is a great name by the way.

  • he looks fuckin creepy blond

  • what kind of synth is played in the very beginning?

  • You mean those bell-like sounds? Probably some Yamaha with FM synthesis. Heard that sound lots of times from those synths.

  • rough guess they look like Mark 3 ARP Odysseys. But at the time Numan's favoured machine (and what he rates as the best analogue synth) was the Oberheim OBXa.

  • Joe Hubbard played bass on this and all of the Warriors Tour, read Tik and Toks web site for what they thought of Mr Hubbard, great bass player but he knew it and being a muso myself these kinds of musos are great players but have the attitude to go with it! Joe Hubbard went on to form Hubbards Cupbord but i prefer good old Paul Gardiner RIP and then Pino Paladino did some work with him too

  • STILL GOOD

  • Joe Hubbard played bass on this.

  • I remember being 17 when this was released and mourning the end of the Numan era.

Superb in the early years,it seemed that he started to mimic the style of other bands; Japan's bass lines for Music for Chameleons,Bowie's Scary Monsters style guitar riffs on Warriors etc.

    A hugely talented electro-god nevertheless.

For real Numan try We are Glass,I Die you Die and Are Friends Electric?

  • I thought the production on the whole album was superb.

  • wow this takes me back, loved this numan warriors era.still love you gaz after 3 decades

  • The blonde look was not good, he looks like a nazi

  • Was that *mist* deliberate?

  • I was only 2 years old back then & I miss my childhood. Gary played a major role in keeping me a happy little girl.

  • His first singles are better. But this is still OK!
