  • 2012 NA car of the year. It looks even better now.

  • this vid is so awsome i really think that i am in the just now

  • Tis and the 2012 sonata is the best hyundais

  • That was a rather awesomely detailed review dude. I wish more car reviews were done this way. I felt like I was in the car, outside the car, tried almost every feature and also test-drove it... all by watching your video. Now I feel really hungry to get it... Thanks man =)

  • i really like this car. my friend has one and i think its great. but i find it a bit noisy and it seems like when the car shifts gears, there is a certain pause like its not sure what gear to go into. it seems like it hesitates. then again with a 4 cyl it needs to rev higher in lower gears. overall tho, i do like the car. like u said, its VERY roomy. my friend is 6 foot 3 and he fits in the backseat perfectly.

  • omg its 1:05pm here!

  • your videos are great! I don't have to deal with dealers/salesman just to look at a car lol

  • Now we need spec R on Elantra with 2.0T....

  • 14:14 Super awesome!!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! very useful and very detailed review. Very much appreciated!

  • I really like the styling of the Elantra, I just don't think my 6'4" frame would be able to have enough leg or head room in such a small car.

  • You are a major asset to Youtube users. THANK YOU!

  • great car and great review!

  • Hey man, YOU are the only one until now that shows the shifting!! Nice review and test drive! Keep it going!

  • Like always, great review.

But, don't wear so funny clothes.

  • Or Motorweek along John Davis.

  • The price of this vehicle along with the Hyundai 100,000 mile warranty, makes this car hard to pass on.

  • You need to work for Cars.com or Car & Driver part-time :)

  • @wokeupthismorning100 a national geograpghic photographer ??

  • just bought this car for my first car about 3 weeks ago. i love it! very nice and beautiful car! :)

  • ANY HEADROOM ? ...dont think so...

CAN PEOPLE TALLER THAN 180cm DRIVE IT ?

    NO, BOYS AWARE,

    IT'S ANOTHER FEMALE CAR !!!

  • @oztronix No boys, seriously? I'm the same height, I can drive it.

  • @oztronix So saabkyle04 must be a female cause he's driving it...

  • very nice review! I think this car is a very appropriate in it's class. I have mazda 3 which I like, but this time, hyundai set new standart level, well done.

However, how would you define the reliability and interior quality in this car?

  • @vmcn2 the reliability u should wait like 2 or 3 years to see if parts go bad or something... and interior quality is SOO much better than before

  • i drag raced an elantra exactly as this one... i won XD... anyways.. i kept staring the elantra i was racing cuz.. it is really beautiful in black... id buy it :P

  • Awesome review. Very in-depth. I'm considering this car and you've helped sway my decision to buy it.

  • This car is a bomb! I'll even say that it's already a classic

  • I'll add that this is one of the better reviews of this car. Great job!

  • I'm usually a bit picky when it comes to color on cars, but this car makes any color look great.

  • Thanks a lot, I'm considering this exact model right now; this video helps immensely.

  • awesome!

  • @saabkyle04

It come in a hybrid? If it dose I will drop my prius in the Hamilton Ontario harbor.

  • Saabkyle is the BEST car reviewer EVER, i learned alot about cars just by watching his videos.

  • Looks like the i40 is the europe version of elantra?

  • @iecanonfire No. The i40 is really in it's own class. It has the interior of the 2012 Azera(Grandeur), exterior of the 2011 Elantra and slightly smaller dimensions than the Sonata.

  • so when are you supposed to shift up or down on the shiftronic? and when do you not supposed shift? please anwser this question anyone soon because i am thinking about getting this, hyundai sonata, or the kia optima soon and i really want to know when and when not to shift up or down on the shiftronic. thank you. :)

  • really good video dude, waiting for your civic 2012 review...

  • Great review! Very thorough, detailed, and comprehensive! I guess you could be a more "relaxed" but it didn't diminish the review presentation at all!

  • I got a real kick out of the multiple references to the "rear backup camera". Be a heck of a thing if it had a "front' backup camera"! Put the car in reverse and the screen shows you a view out the front of the car! LOL!!!

  • Comment removed

  • It really helped and was the best review ever. Plz do more reviews like this.

  • My grandma got one of these Saturday I got to drive it... I LOVE IT!!!!!! IT HAS SHIFT-TRONIC!!!!!!!

  • I got one of those and a fusion I hated the prius

  • Good review i have to say nice job kyle!

  • Good job! Next time consider sounding less like a salesman and more like a reviewer. No car is perfect, and consumers want to know these flaws.

  • awesome! literally answered all my questions. thanks a lot!

  • I don't like the style at all.

  • great review!

2 bad we dont have this car yet in australia yet.

but looks fantastic, n ur review style is fantastic.

juz try n relax a little bit.

  • I'm jealous of you guys down south, up here in Canada, I just paid all-in 26k for a GL with some accessories and other goodies :O Can't believe for the same amount I could have had a Limited edition.

  • @Jakeman2164 Because they're offering the 1.6 turbo Veloster hatchback, due out soon.

  • car looks boring there is nothing good about it

  • @FIREALARM2009 cant b as boring as its competitors, lyk toyota corolla or honda civic

  • Finally someone that gives a detailed review of cars instead of the 'blink and you'll miss it' that you get from others. Job well done my friend. I'd love to see you review some of the cars we get here in the UK like the Ford Focus/Fiesta, Jaguar XF and XJ, BMW, VW Golf/Jetta etc. Keep up the good work.

    Nathan

  • How much would a elantra premium limited cost with tax? Like 22,000 right?

  • Hey, just wanted to mention the vanity lights. VWs have had that same design going back over a decade, others followed. Same slide mirror with the light on the ceiling. But as soon as the mirror is opened, it creates a circuit that illuminates the light...further even if the mirror is left open and the visor shut, it still shuts off the light as the circuit is closed...VW does it the more costly/sophisticated way w/ no physical switch like this car. Another cheap cost cutting measure by Hyundai.

  • @tuolumne9

You ever think some people want to open the mirror without lights coming on? That is what the switch is for, not a cost cutting measure.

  • GREAT video!!!

Just this past weekend I signed the paperwork for a 2011 Hyundai Elantra GLS "White". Though they are trucking the car from out of province (due to me selecting the particular color & model) I hope to have it by the end of the week.

I have both driven and looked over the car and looked over many reviews online before I decided to run with this car & today I just seen your review which just has me even more eager to get a hold of the car!!

Well done review with lots of detail!!

  • Elantra is definitely the best, much more affordable and better in every single way

  • Elantra isd

  • version mais barata ownando em rs.

  • Hes cute.. I like nerdy guys hehe

  • guys what's better elantra 2011 or Mazda 3 2010 ??!

  • does it really have a bumpy ride?

  • I love the new Hyundai's. They're awesome!

  • @Jakeman2164 They offer the Azera, Genesis Coupe, Santa Fe, and Genesis luxury sedan in V6s. The Sonata comes with an optional 2.0 liter turbo straight 4 with 274hp.

  • great video kyle

  • The guy in this vid is kinda cute =) hit me up would love to get to know u more

  • im not so sold in the design... i think the chevy cruze, ford focus and even mazda 3 looks better outside

  • These small cars are getting pretty big.

  • u must bought this car

  • ahahaha right at 1:30 its the best.

  • You need to relax more when you do these reviews. You look kinda stiff. Look at the other reviewers on Youtube.

  • @ClaritySWE Thanks man, I do get a little nervous sometimes, but that's my personality, the next one will be more natural. It's a learning process :P

  • @saabkyle04 does this car come with an option for fog lights

please respond im trying to help my dad get my mom a mothers day gift!!!

  • @thatrandomperson002 it does in limited

  • @saabkyle04 Hi, quick question, I went to the dealer and what I dont understand is why are the new 2011 models selling for the same price as the 2012 models? I mean this car just came out 6 weeks ago and the 2012 Elantra is already out, I was negotiating the 2011 model assuming there would be a discount considering its no loner the current year Elantra and it wasn't even negotiable whatsoever. Why mark up the prices the same for both years when people will obviously opt for the 2012 model??

  • @saabkyle04 hey man, no need to be nervous. anyway, do you think you could do a review on a Saab Viggen or a Saab Aero? Thanks!

  • @saabkyle04 See Video Hyundai Avega I will comment on your

  • @saabkyle04 Wrong answer. You should've told this guy to go fuck himself, right after he makes his own "relaxed" car review videos...so that some other asshole can then tell him why he sucks balls as soon as he begins posting them.

  • Sheesh this 4cyl sounds a lot like my TIburon GTV6 :(

  • The civic is in the class of it's own. It's mainly a low cost sort of racing appearance car intend for college. The hand rest is a complete copy of the civics with the spring and the shape. I have to say the Elantra sure has more leg room.

  • Why don't you get the proper manual. Can't really call yourself a car guy and drive an automatic :P

  • The temperature controls look like they are from an old washing machine

  • I like the new style but I don't think a Korean piece of shit deserves a 17 minute review, but that's just me. Overall pretty cool but try it on something classier, like a Bentley.

  • @NavyAviation2016 I used to think of them as "piece of shit" before too and they were. You may want to check a new Hyundai or Kia out now though because they seem to do better on styling, build quality and standard feature than Toyota, Honda or Nissan. I can't believe how much Toyota has fallen and Hyundai has risen.

  • @NavyAviation2016 korean piece of shit my ass! compared to most mid size sedans this is top class

  • people its HYUNDAI its a piece of crap brand!!! would never trust them.

  • @PAPO9609

I see the education system in Canada is working. Are you genuinely that dumb?

  • @Xboxlivemgear bro in the US and CANADA hyundai sells these type of cars but to the rest of the world they re still selling the usual crap, they just want to give you an image of trust, just google hyundai atos or hyundai verna 2011, and you will agree with me, and for the record im not canadian, just live here.

  • @PAPO9609 They only sell the old models in india now.I'm seeing a lot of new hyundais on the road now in my region.I drive a hyundai too.Hyundai is getting better these days.

  • @Bomchilaka you got india right, and they still sell those cheap ass models in mexico, south america, china, turkey, greece, egypt, bangladesh, malasya etc. HYUNDAI is the same old crappy brand that it was when it started.

  • @PAPO9609

I kind of agree with you but not in every point you mention. It´s true Hyundai sell outdated and cheap ass models like the Atos, H100 and Verna (an earlier generation Hyundai Accent), but lets face the truth: all those countries you mention are still in development and a lot of people living there don´t have enough resources to get a Sonata or Genesis. They just want a cheap reliable car. Nissan, VW, Toyota, GM, Ford and other brands do the same selling cheap cars in those countries.

  • @luisinhoens90 youre right but the cars are meant to be cheap but theyre still bad in those standards, VW or nissan is much higher quality.

  • @PAPO9609

Well considering the average age of those designs they aren´t exactly cheap considering here in Mexico a 20 yr old platform with no security equipment Nissan Tsuru is selling for the same price than a cheaply Brazilian made but fresh VW Gol. The problem is most of those countries don´t have any standard when security or emissions are concerned (unfortunately here is the same). So those cars will exist as long as there is lack of laws in our countries.

  • @PAPO9609

BTW: I wouldn´t say every VW or Nissan are of much higher quality. Comparing to what? A 2011 Sentra which has a cheaply made interior full of hard plastics? And rear drum brakes and non independent rear suspension. A shame in its segment. The same goes for the new Jetta which falls short compared to the last generation. Also the so called Tsuru (an earlier generation Sentra), very reliable but an insult to the market. Upper models of both brands are very good though

  • @PAPO9609 u r a fool

  • @parky1020 investigate, dumb prick.

  • @PAPO9609 well clearly, i cant b as dumb as badgesnobs lyk u, who doesnt even know how much things hav changed over the past decades. u should open ur eyes and stop attacking thing you've never tried b4.

  • @parky1020 two shitty hyundai= huyndai atos 2011, hyundai verna 2011, investigate, hyundai is the same shit it has always been.

  • @PAPO9609

Two, out of like 20 vehicles. That's way better than all of GM with their horrible quality control.

  • @Xboxlivemgear yeah but still, they make the same crap but with more style if you will, and GM? yeah GM its pretty shitty too, personally I hate GM the most.

  • @PAPO9609 i do agree dat atos is rubbish cars, but newest verna looks fantastic

and also, y dont u look at other models from hyundai n talk.

stop being such an ignorant douchebag,

bside, hyundai cant b as bad as some american cars lyk chrysler group n gm

  • @parky1020 look at this model and the rest, they look like cars made for sisies, really chrysler?? man have you seen the 2011 models? of dodge jeep and chrysler?? wtf are you saying!

  • @PAPO9609 everyone agrees dat cars from chrysler r bunch of overpriced pieces of craps, theres a reason y they failed. and u r saying hyundai is cars made 4 sissies, well look at u, u muscular macho man. i got no time 4 this dumbass argument, my point is, dat chrysler may look good outside, but they r filled with outdated technologies from daimler and cheap plastics n even build quality is totally fked up

hyundai, its may not b very desirable car to choose, but its reliable and economical.

  • @parky1020 haha yeah you clearly havnt seen the inside of a 2011 grand cherokee or 2011 chrysler 300c.

yeah have fun with your radio made with laundry washer buttons, reliable? sure man.

  • hey kyle !!, who was the camraman?

  • Excellent, intelligent, well-written review. I'm amused by the negative review criticizing you for being biased, and then going on a biased, unsubstantiated, anti-Hyundai rant. Consider their command of the English language, and there's not much credibility. What makes a noisy engine is subjective. Always call things the way YOU see them. If all reviews said the same thing, there would be no reason to view more than one. It would be kind of like inbreeding! Great job and very informative.

  • Nice car for the money....especially while our gas prices are going up everyday.

Great job. I like the night time gauge view.....very important part when choosing a car. Your the only one that does this!!!

  • Do you have to pay subscription fees for nav?

  • i looked on the pink limo.com the first thing i noticed on the front page is Hyundai is spelled wrong. They way the website spells it is Hyunday

  • Hmmm... The engine in this Elantra sounds similar to the Beta II SULEV in my 2003 Hyundai Elantra GT. The pro for this engine is that it comes with a timing chain and not the timing belts found on the Beta II which needs to be changed every 60,000 ULEV or 105,000 miled SULEV. Kyle, don't worry about these negative comments and criticism from people on here because you are doing a great job if even though you are still in the learning process. I wish you the best on your success of auto reviews.

  • hey kyle i was wondering if you have any plans on reviewing Volkswagen GTI or Mitusibhi Lancer Evo. I know you already did a video on Lancer Evo, but the video was kind of ruined by pollens and the wind lol. BTW GREAT WORK KYLE KEEP IT UP !!!

  • they should put you on Top Gear USA

  • Hey Kyle I was wondering if you had any plans on reviewing a Mitsubishi Lancer anytime soon. I'm really interesting in the GTS and the RalliArt Editions. You are my new go to guy when it comes to car reviews. Plus I'm a NC boy, so in each video, I find myself trying to guess where exactly in the state you are. lol. Awesome job.

  • WOW that engine Sounds Noisy AS SHIT!????!?!? LMFAO!

SO BIASED!!!!! REVIEW!!!! Quiet Engine???? WHAT? how come all the major car review say the engine is noisy at times!

  • Hyundai Biased REVIEW! This is a REVIEW! point out the Cons and Pros. Pro: Nothing! Cons: Its a Hyundai! It's Ugly as hell in person and on the Road It's trying to hard Styling will get old! Crappy Resale Value People will laugh at you driving a Hyundai!
  • @CSplayahata get a life loser

  • During your introduction, good dialogue. However don't sway so much. Forces your camera person to follow you around. Or just zoom out. The car is the focus of the video so you'd want to zoom out anyway imho.

  • Kyle this was simply amazing. I'd say your best review ever. Keep it up your commentary is great! Just from this video I'm now a fan of the new elantra!

  • I kind of like the old style better. It was like you just took control of their eyes, and guided them around the features that you thought was best of the car. This one, you just left it up for the consumer to decide the pros and cons, which, I have to tell you the truth, some people like being told what to think. But I'm not saying this style video is bad though.

  • Nice work as always Kyle, but I don't usually find reviews that praise a car endlessly to be very helpful. Surely, there have to be some shortcomings, or car and driver would not have placed this midpack in a recent comparo. Just something to think about!

  • So are you selling the car or giving a non comparison review? Cause it seems like you are throwing other cars under the bus for no reason....

  • I'm speechless! That was fantastic!

  • great video, i wanna buy this car! well or lease, still not sure

  • Why is that entire city block you're on dead?

  • lol when you started the engine the time was 9:11

  • Hyundai came from a long way from laughing stock to challenging Nissan,Honda and Toyota for the best imports. Now I'm a big Hyundai fan.GO HYUNDAII!!!

  • You know, honestly (This is 100% opinion, so dont bitch at me about it) I dont care how good this Elantra gets, I still prefer the Cruze to it.

  • i use to watch cars direct but your much better kyle i like the way u do ur videos and your always on time when uploading the vids good job bro

  • yeah i didnt like the bias but nonetheless its a great car and a great video!

  • your not an hollywood actor like a lot of reviewers are, but you sure did a great job doing what your supposed to do, reviewing the car inside and out thoroughly

  • I hope Kyle reviews some more banged up cars like that black Honda lol.

  • @FalconsFlame Haha I have a 87 buick century with no muffler coming :P

  • @saabkyle04 Used to have an 86 Century with the muffler delete option better known as Michigan winter. aside from rust that car was unkillable, I believe we let it got with just north of 400,000 miles on the clock.

  • @JayConstant09 Hahaha old Detroit iron was the absolute best in terms of reliability. They never looked the part, espeically in the 80's but they would never complain no matter what.

  • @saabkyle04 Fantastic!

  • @saabkyle04 Nice, I look forward to seeing you give a tour of an A-body!

  • I think you've done a magnificent job here Kyle. Keep up the great work and enjoy the success you've worked so hard to earn.

  • @CygnusRising001 Thanks a lot buddy, I appreciate that!

  • @Wolfdale11 Yeah it is very light, it's great for normal tight cornering and city driving, but doesn't provide a ton of drivers feedback for those more into the sport handling cars, depends on what you're looking for in a car

  • You'll find many comments like this saabkyle: Don't be so bias.

Put the car key in your pocket when you get out of the car.

Try to get a better camerman or director, no offence but the vertically challenged can be made to look tall on film.

  • He did a excellent job on the elantra ~

If he notices that you have to push hard for the horn))) to work or if difficult to see out of mirrors on cars I would like him to mention it. I like how he told about the steering on this car

  • Respect to the engine 1.8l 148hp !! it outperforms many many 2.0L cars ;-))

  • Next time try being a bit less biased and more neutral ... :/ this totally sounds like Hyundai paid you

  • @ratmtbola I want to let you and the rest of the people out there know this, no hyundai isn't paying me,I am doing once a week reviews to supplement a magazine in charlotte I'm working for now. I like hyundai, I'm sorry if some people don't understand that but I gave my opinions, you and others may have different. It's a review for a reason I told you all everything I knew about the car just about and tried my best to do something I've always dreamed of doing.I would appreciate your understanding

  • @saabkyle04 Thanks for the reply.

I never honestly thought that you were paid by Hyundai. I just wanted to point out that, in some parts, you sound a bit biased. Which I can totally understand, since you own a Hyundai. But I think it would be better for you, or rather for your videos, if you tried to be a bit more neutral sometimes. But that doesn't mean that you have to become a boring and dull reviewer like everyone else, because that's what sets you appart from others and makes you better.

  • @ratmtbola Anytime man thanks for all the suggestions. I probably may have gotten carried away a bit haha but I will change the format to me more like what I usually do and not so "reviewish" next week I will be doing the new GMC sierra HD denali and have a couple ideas. See, I am not usually bias, it may come across like that if I really like a car but everyone's like that in a way :P but for these I will take that advice and adapt them to my normal style, soon it should be a perfect format!
