18 yrears of love and loyal service - its hard to lose a best friend!

I believe pets are a blessing of Love from God!

I miss all the pets that I've had over the years that God has blessed me with.

From the Porsche the cat that passed at 19 years old, Jamie the Shepard/Lab that we had to put down after only 10 and LittleBit, my travelling cat who was taken too soon (only 3) when he was hit by a car.

I'm so sorry to hear Sammi passed away this weekend. Love this video. Adorable! I was trying to think of some unique tricks to teach my 4 month old border collie who has already mastered; sit, down, stay, come, no, fetch, roll over and has even started herding ducks among other things. This tissue trick sounds fun! And, yes, our Lucy is a strict positive reinforcement girl. Could do all 10 requirements for CGC test at just 12 wks of age (except staying when I left the room). Love your stuff!

Would be good if you could learn what negative reinforcement really means. It is not correction chains or pinch collars. You are talking about positive punishment. You obviously don't understand the 4 quadrants of dog training theory.

Oh, are you talking about PR-positive reinforcement, NP-Negative punishment, PP-Positive punishment and NR-Negative reinforcement? Did you ever think that most people watching the videos don't really care about the technical parts of training. That they just want practical training solutions.

I could easily talk about successive approximation, extinction bursts and other technical mumbo jumbo but instead I just try to help people train their dogs.

I'm sorry...but ownt! On a different note I actually am learning a lot from watching his videos! While the dogs I have is getting on in years my family and I made a lot of mistakes when training him and I can not only hear a few good ways of teaching a dog but I can actually see some demonstrations and some results.

Thanks to these videos I feel a lot more confident about how I will train a dog of my own someday.
