  • its not an AK anymore

  • I own a semi-automatic sniper rifle.

I forget the exact model, and I'd have to look at the stamp to find out (Which would require opening the gun safe, and getting it from the very back). But It's by Heckle & Koch, and is semi-auto stock and fires .308.

    Never been done, my ass.

  • @owndapwn not 'as' semi as the AK, for sure

  • @TheBalenman With a .308, I should hope not. The AK uses the .223. Much smaller, with very little recoil. None if you're using an AR.

I'm sure I could fire the .308 pretty quickly (One shot every 1.5 seconds?), but it only has a five or eight round magazine depending on which one I use, and there would be chance to re-aim.

But, alas, I've never bought a scope for it, so it's uses are limited as it is. :\

  • Twirly-Twirly Bang-Bang

  • Hill billies with crazy guns.

  • @ProjectXero35

Well Sir, Of course, these folks see a proper shop, watched the video, & played many games with these guns. That builds an expert resume in guns and gunsmith knowledge LOL!

Cracks me up, seeing this phenomena take place everyday too.

(Gun, car, 4x4, and atv/motorcycle... Free degrees all around, for everybody!)

You sir, have the best post on youtube! period

  • how come the old guys hair grew so long at 5:42?

  • @SuperComplainer, good catch. Reality TV editing.

  • whats wrong with the dragonuv?

  • heck from all this work and money to convert that ak-47 to designated marksmen rifle, just buy the fucking dragonuv.

  • FAKE the AK-47 round the 7.62x39 doesn't have the range to be able to hit a target at 1000 yards nor does the 5.56x45 both of these rounds have a max range of about 350 yards. Which means they must have changed the caliber and the action so really all they did was make a rifle that looks kinda like an AK. So who ever did this tell the truth.

  • @sidfail max range is not 350 yards you dumbass. go stand at the 400 yard and we'll see if you will die from me shooting at you. dumbest comment ever.

  • @myfunkychannel By 350 yards I meant the effective range of that calibre not the furtherest the bullet could travel.

  • @sidfail thats a saiga chambered in .308 nato from the factory.

  • Although not directly having an ak action, the Dragunov (distant relative of the kalashnikov family) has a very similar, reliable action, firing the 7.62x54, which is close (but not interchangeable with the 762x51mm or .308).

:0! LES TAEK AN IDEAUH, CHANJ IT SLITELY, AND SELLZ IT! Derp.

    Close enough??

  • its not AK-47 its Saiga-308 ..

  • SVD ffs

  • Above*

  • This show is so bad its not even funny...if you have even the simplest understanding of firearms knowledge your abobe this show...and stef is ugly as dirt

  • should i tell him about the SVD?

  • Its basically a sniper rifle with a ak trigger.

  • a semi auto sniper geus they never saw a M14 or EBR 21

  • Why would you bother making an AK sniper when there are a lot of semi-auto 7.62x51 on the market?

  • why not just use a drugnov?

  • Its an awesome gun but they use the 7.62x51 not the 7.62x39, look at 5:14 and you'll notice the case is a 7.62 nato they just used the ak platform.

  • 7.62 at a 1000 Yards? why? could have just tuned up an SVD with all the stuff they put onto this thing and gotten an even better result....

  • The SVD and PSL shoot the 7.62x54 bullet, while the AK shoots 7.62x39. This gun is cool but I HIGHLY doubt it's a thousand yard gun, the 39 bullet ballistics drop significantly after about 600meters.

  • LOl, not the first accurate AK ever designed.

  • so they never heard of a sks befor?

  • Also, that 'AK' Is actually a Sportorized SAGIA!

  • HEY GUYS!

    HEY

    GUYS

    HEY GUYS!

How about we make a Sniper Rifle

    But it is an AK!

We can call it a PSL!

  • S.V.D. A.K.A. DRAGUNOV ANYONE?

  • @gorgonzo1a yeah but Svd and ak are 2 different calabers

  • lololol this show is like saints row, don't take it seriously and the whole time your laughing

  • Uh, PSL? Seriously rednecks, are you even trying??

  • I like the "Makes us seen in the industry" line.... I didn't know that they were competing with companies in 1950.

  • sweet jesus, fuck those shitty sound effects. what a horrible show

  • Yeah, I mean, it's not like they already did that almost 50 years ago.

I feel sorry for Vince having to put up with this idiot's bullshit just to keep his job.

    At least he left.

  • its already be done before

    ITS CALLED A FUCKING SVD

  • you actually go to war to conquer or defend a country.

  • SVD is no AK sniper. Completely different mechanism. The Romanian PSL is.

  • an AK thats a sniper rifle? hmmmmm sounds like a DRAGUNOV!!!

  • A 1000 yards AK, never been dune before? hmm...So how about the Dragunov SVD?

  • Krebs Customs made a .308 AK, thats Sub-MOA

  • lol magic barrel color transformation between 8:15 and 9:43

  • 7.62x39mm at 1000yds? Wtf are they thinking? It falls on its ass around 300yds!

  • @Hubscharber nah, its quite possible

  • @Hubscharber dont know lot about cartridges? eaven SKS sights are adjustable to 1000 meters

  • @Lapinmiez It seems here the opposite is true, what the sights are graduated to does not matter much. Bullet drop (in this case about 108in @ 500m), energy, and muzzle velocity are things to consider. 1000m is generally reserved for 7.62x51mm and up.

My car's speedometer stretches out to 280kph, even though I know it is limited to about 230kph.

  • @Hubscharber and how much did you wrote from that by your own experience?

  • @Lapinmiez I have, in my possession, a Romanian WASR, along with several .30 calibre rifles - including a Mosin-Nagant, K31, K98k, Enfields, and FN FAL.

I grew up shooting a No. 4 Enfield across the plains of the central US. There are several books you can read on the subject, I recommend starting with 'Boston's Gun Bible.'

  • Possible gun for bf3?

  • I wonder how it fairs against an SVD hmm

  • DRAGONOV SVD! IT HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE.

    Just don't chamber a sniper rifle in 7.62x39 M43

  • A Draganov action and PSG1 (AK based) action are not the same. Cool concept, but why not stick with a proven weapon like the M-14? its semi auto, powerful, and accurate. There are also AR based rifles chambered in 6.8 Rem. SPC and .308 for close to the same price.

  • This show is so fucking stupid.

    NEVAH BEEN DUN BEFO'

  • @residentevil4freek Once upon a time 2 guys at a gun range were shooting, one a semi-auto rifle, the other a bolt action sniper rifle. Then one of them thinks: HOLY SHIT! WHAT IF SOMEONE MADE A SEMI-AUTO SNIPER RIFLE?

Yup.....NEh-VUH BIN DUN BEFO! Game changer.

  • @residentevil4freek Only got a week to do it? OK. we'll do it!

  • @residentevil4freek Yeah That show is retarded, A 1000 yards AK.. Its Called The SVD Sniper Rifler you retards!

  • @SuperCakeGuy The SVD's internal components are entirely different from the AK.

  • @residentevil4freek Aaaand? What are you getting at?

  • @SuperCakeGuy You're wrong.

  • ever heard of a dragnov?? ya sure its not the most accurate rifle but it wud be a better gun to start the project with

  • $2800 is a little expensive especially when you can buy a nice ar set up

  • @mclaen1987 people want the reliabilty of an ak and bigger caliber. i agree with you though, i would rather see an ar-15

  • @STuRTzzMoNTaGeS Meh, AR-10... but I'd rather see a Sub-MOA FAL

  • @DeusMalleus people have problems shooting the FAL. the ar is easier to learn

  • @STuRTzzMoNTaGeS Given training, shouldn't matter, but modifying the recoil buffer in the FAL to match a AR, should be good.

  • Anyone else think it kinda resembles the PSG1 by shape?

  • i hate to be "that guy" but isint this what a "FPK"is for?

  • Red Jacket Red Dawn!

    Now y'all done somethin' here!

    God bless Dixie!

  • it's the m110/mk11+AK XD.

  • so they basically built a dragonov hahaha anyone else notice that the dragonov has the ak design like most russian rifles do even the soga has a ak design its like a ak shot gun granted the barrel on this weapon probably was nicer then a dragonovs barrel and it probably is still shooting the 7.62 39 but still its not any differnt then a dragonov

  • @Americanstrong5 Exactly. What is a Dragonuv for? -_-

  • @Bluetiger457 dragunov doesnt have many similar internal parts when comparing to kalashnikov rifles

  • @Lapinmiez True, but despite the internal workings of the weapons, the Dragonuv is still a viable sniper/marksman rifle.

  • @Bluetiger457 dragonuv is NOT as accurate as people think

  • @ChrisCorle01 How inaccurate could it be? After all, it is a sniper rifle/marksman rifle.

  • @Bluetiger457 well considering its a cheaply mad rifle very inaccurate. i personally do not own one but i have a friend who has 3 and after 750 yards NO one at our gun club or hunting club can hit anything with them. and we do have an ex army marksman in our little group and he gets mad and picks up his Remington 700 and makes the shot all day!

  • @ChrisCorle01 Well I see what you mean. I guess it would be more suited as a designated marksman's weapon, then.

  • @Bluetiger457 yes like a scout rifle but i wouldnt use it as a "sniper" rifle any day unless i had to

  • Man it is TV...

  • i could go on a rant about this loophole they used, but its simple thats a .308 (7.61x51mm NATO) saiga. The .308 is a do-able round for those distances. However if this was done with a true AK (7.62x39mm) would not make it out to those distances

  • the 7.62x39mm is not a 1000 yard bullet. Sure it could work, but a heavier, longer, sleeker bullet is so much more effective.

  • @labartic

You are right, but they did certainly extend the effective range of an AK.

Typical AK carbine, muzzle velocity is slow due to the short barrel, lot of bullet drop, terrible sights, and not very accurate for several reasons.

They increased the muzzle velocity, increased the accuracy, and increased the weight (by more than two pounds?).

Good job, they did what they set out to do!

  • Comment removed

  • @willddevine7 sorry to burst your researched bubble there but the vss has an integrated 7 inch suppressor, its basically an ak-74s, the dragnauv and SVU already do the 1000 yard challenge

  • @homfri111 you didnt bust my bubble at all you just added air to it. i didn't include those guns because i didnt know about them and if i did i would have added them. like i said i dont know everything about guns, and im not trying to say i do.

and not to bust your bubble but the dragnauv uses a bigger round, then a regular ak-47. idk what size round their using though, im assuming a 7.62×39mm the same size as an ak-47. and the svu is the same gun as the dragnauv

  • They already have this, It's called the VSS Vintorez, it's also integrally suppressed.

  • @LukeRJAust I'm quite sure that it doesn't pass the 1000 yard mark.

It's more accurate than an AK and shoot further but it lacks the stopping power.

  • @xXKenokisXx

It does, it also carries a shit tonne more "stopping power" with it's 9x39 cartridge, compared to the 7.62x39 cartridge.

  • outstanding weapon system, its about time for an ak sinper rifle of this type. your group of gun smiths set a new standard for the industry. all deserve a lage pay increase. well done. this should put red jacket on top of the industry. i want one for my self.

    mr farmer. x-military vet.

  • How much for one? =D

  • i got a huge lol when will shoots a 1 inch group at 20 yards bench rested with a scope thats what people 5 inches at 100 yards 50 at 1000 lol and the 7.62x39mm would drop around 90 feet at 1000 yards would have been subsonic for about 200 yards any real sniper or marksman knows this oh if its a .308 saiga then it isnt a ak47 the zastava svd druganov have been around for ages thanks for the vid

  • Again, reinventing something, that was already invented....SVD :) And it's max range is 1300 meters.

  • SVD?

  • Dragunov? I'm just asking!

  • @talentor

    dragunov accuracy guaranteed only 700yds

  • @ least put this rifle in the next FPS!

  • I saw this episode recently.... that rifle is magnificent! *******

Those guys & gals should have a contract with the military.

  • @d3javoodoo if you believe what you have said and have any knowlege of balistics or marksmanship/shooting/sniping then its my firm belief that you work for these people

  • lol i saw the whole episode today in the morning i don't know if this shows the exploding arrows but those were goddamned awesome
