Hello everyone! We swap are combine every two years, main reason being is that after two years (9000 acres) there is often some money need to replace parts, to do the next season. We are offered a good deal to swap for a new one for not a massive amount of money. It also mean that we should have no reliability issues too.

@Ruelley Did you mean the contractor or that Claas brings out a new harvester every 2 years ? :-) I thought you ment Claas. I drive for a contractor that uses 2 Jaguars 9xx and he used to buy a new one every year (so each was used 2 seasons) Now it's every 2 years, so each is used 4 seasons.

@Ruelley Depends on how many combines he has ... If he has 4, that means that every combines lasts 8 years before it is replaced by a new one ... so every 2 years a new combine doesn't seem much then, no ?
