  • thanks for the tips. he's now almost 5 months and knows all the basic commands, sit, stay, come, wait, down, no. dobie's are very fast learners and throughout all of his training i've used the clicker. tons of perserverance as they can be stubborn but clever

  • cute dog. Timming is everything. Your really late on the clicking. Try clicking the instant his but hits the floor. Click should mean 'good job - food coming'. When he is offering the behaviour you want - then mark it with the click. Add the word or cue when the behaviour is going on such as 'good sit' then click. A next step might be offing the reward with your release cue... food for thought.
