This is definitely from 1990. I was 10. The Simpsons had been on since the fall of 1989. The episodes of '90 season included the episode where Marge is romanced by Jacques the French bowling guy. I didn't watch Married With Children until around 1992/1993/1994. I used to call it "The Bundys" and I've always seen it as more of a 90's show, though it did have its first 2 seasons in the 80's.

I miss those days, Married with children sure was the best show fox ever had. Those were good days when I use to watch the simpsons and then Married with children after it, that always made my day.

The Simpsons back in the day, maybe. But today, forget about it. They've become too tame and too mainstream to be considered MWC's animated counterpart. The Simpson clan are not as crass in at each other's throats like they were in the first few seasons. The Lisa depicted today, in particular, has little in common with the Lisa in season 1, aside from being smart perhaps. And the sibling rivalry between she and Bart was more malicious. Does Homer even strangle Bart like he used to?

I'd still rather have the independent stations back (like KTVU and KTXL), but I did like these and a few other Fox shows at first. When Fox started putting their logo on the screen for several minutes during each show, I quit watching them all except The Simpsons. I quit watching that a couple years later when they decided they weren't being annoying enough and started putting the logo on all the time.
