Oh, you can make 4 handles so it will hang on the stand instead of sitting on it. The hanging drum will sound better and make more sound. If the bottom of the drum is sitting on the stand it muffles the sound a little bit, but when it's hanging the whole drum can resonate. Looks very nice at the end.

Btw, cow hide is one of the best hides to use for a powwow drum b/c it resists weather conditions REAL WELL--it doesn't get loose easily in humidity or cold. Good choice.
Didnt know that. Thanks dude. My lodge (Woa Cholena) do not have dance team or drum team for 22 years. wow, am gonna try to start up. Woa Cholena have 375 members. Small compare Coosa over 2000. Oh well. I will do my best. Will lets you know if you can interpreting for me later in the fall.
