  • This was amazing! Brought a tear to my eye:)

  • Great voice!

  • you are cuteeee ♥

  • I'm so in love with the chord before the last one.

  • you must clone you !

  • This is one of my favorite tags that you do, it's so pretty! I love your voice! I also love you are my sunshine.

  • It's so nice to see how far you have advanced as a singer since this. No offense intended, but this sounds like shit compared to your newer tags. It's sort of hard to believe this was all two years ago.

  • awesome!!! wow

  • dude if u ever wana sing with somebody other than urself lol let me know sounds good man keep it up

  • Way cool - well done! I've always loved singing lead on this one with AoH. A few years back (2000?) I sang in a quartet with Kevin Keller (guy who arranged it). Looking in old Christmas music folder - (Here we go!), it says he arranged "O Come, O Come Emmanuel (Veni, Veni) " on 7/2/1991. Now you know, the rrrrrrest of the story. :-)

  • you are awesome and a half i love ls=istening to you sing, your voice is great

  • This is just stellar. Good job, mate.

  • so beautiful.

  • Waouw!!! Amazing!

Hey can you tell me how do you create that?

  • Very well done. Bravo! :)

  • superb, during Advent. Did you ever consider posting each of the parts, separately, so it would be easier to pick each one out?

  • thats hackin' awsome !! :D

  • what eq setting do you use?

  • bloody hell that's talent

  • That was pretty darn good!! Anyone know where I can get the music for that tag?

  • It's not that hard if u have the sheets as he obviously has.. but he is talented. very talented.

  • You have a great voice!

  • hurka durr ... lo frakey poodaa.

  • How beautiful.

I love the pure third in the last chord.

    Thank you.

  • I just tried tracking this on my own and had never before realized just how COMPLICATED this tag is! So much shifting and harmonies going every-which-unexpected-way. All I can say is, you are very talented to be able to do stuff like this. =)

  • holy crap! that was awesome! i have two videos like this!! i didnt think anyone else did videos like it! i love your voice!

  • i ABSOLUTELY LOVE the way u hit Israel, its really awesome!

  • hi from finland! you can really sing !! how do u find out how to sing it in different, umm, lines? what is it called? :D men de här va jettebra!

    //Kusin Rebecca

  • Hej duu!

Kul å höra att du lever! Dig har jag inte sett sen du var typ 10 år gammal!

    Tack för komplimangen =)

  • OMG this is one of my fav christmas songs! This makes me so happy and excited, you have no idea!!! :D You have such a great voice!!

  • this is my fav tag of yours

  • Didn't know what to expect. (Got the link from my email sub to Line6) but am pleasantly surprised. Keep up the great work!!

  • dude.. you are awesome.. make some more!!

  • I think the post length is OK, but there is something a bit different about the cord progression from 08 to 14. Not saying it was bad, but just different! Unusual, nice treatment of the song. Makes me want to hear the whole thing ! Best wishes and Merry Christmas!

  • No no, you're wrong! It IS bad! In fact, it's horrible! Althogh I made a recording of the entire song, and it's coming ot with my album! Make sure you're getting it!

  • We are always our own worst critics, but be aware that sometimes it's the enemy whispering in our ear. 08 - 14 is awesome!!!!

  • Thank you for glorifying Christ Jesus with your gift of singing and technology.

  • I would like to second that; thank you again Finey, for glorifying The Reason for this season. May He bless you wondrously, just as you have wondrously blessed me (and others) with your exceptional singing and multi-tagging!

  • very nice-linked from line 6

  • jejejeje Very cool men, i recieve the newsletter from LINE 6 whith this link:

    Another YouTube Recommendation:

Click here to watch FineyLee use his TonePort UX2 to record stunning four-part harmony in his terrific rendition of a holiday classic.

  • Haha that's really cool! I saw the news now, pretty awesome! I should have them sponsor me!!! =D

  • Wouldn't it be easier to use Antares AVOX and Chior? ;-)

  • thats fricken cool man. saw u on the line 6 newsletter

  • What?!?!? I didn't know that!!! Do you have a link or something to that newsletter?

  • line6 dot com/media/email/marketing/Dec-newsletter-12-14-2007/mailer.html

  • Yeah line 6 is pretty cool, my band was in there once, it was awesome. our popularity shot up for a couple days.

  • Thats AWESOME!

  • what si the baritone part? i cant seem to find it.

  • That's typical of Barbershop. You generally cannot easily pick out the Baritone from a properly tuned and balanced performance. The Lead is easy because it's the melody and thus familiar, and the Bass and Tenor because they're 99+% of the time the lowest and highest, respectively. But the Bari weaves in and out, above and below the melody.

That said, you can most DEFINITELY tell the difference if the Bari is MISSING! It's like a gaping hole in the harmony!

  • Amazing, amazing job.

Your pitch and tuning are fantastic.

  • i just stumbled upon your videos and they are really really wonderful. I hope you find a successful career with your voice

  • Find a way to do "Hoist The Colors"! Do it now! NOW I say!

  • from :03 to :10 it sounds awkward.. but matches up everwhere else. my opinion. other than that.. i love it

  • you would be awesome if you would not go to the dipthongs so early and held the main vowels longer

  • By far my favorite tag you've done so far...

  • god, it's so awful... The tag I made for the recording turned out so much better, I'm thinking about uploading it audio only...

  • you should. even if it's the only song you upload it's fine, but it would be amazing to hear a full song

  • Really cool!!! Well done!

  • Who is the arranger for that version of the song? That's a wonderful series of chords. Great job.

  • Kevin Keller

  • Thank you.

  • You have tension in your voice. it still sounds good but would be a lot better if you eliminated the tension.

  • thats good!

  • wow, beautiful

  • well done

  • excellent

  • That's no big deal here!!! I still absolutely adore the tag. Thank you many times over for recording it.

  • do you use pitch correction?

  • how can you believe that after hearing this tag? =)

the tuning in this tag is awful imo...

  • It's not... awful... It's just... flawed.. =P

  • Besides, there aren't many pitch correcting programs nor boxes that know how to handle the precision adaptive, chord-and-scale-root-relative Just Intonation tuning that Barbershop uses. So-called "Pure Major" and "Pure Minor" microtonal scales need not apply. Neither need 5-limit nor 7-limit JI scales.

  • why did somebody mark this a -1 this person(xAdam05x)was just asking a question.Geez.

  • Absolutely beautiful — such a musical turn-on to hear that precision. Five pointy ones and instant subscription — look forward to more!

  • Wow - stumbled on this and thought you did a wonderful job!

    Bravo!

  • Great tag

  • Flawless. You have such a perfect tone, clear and constant! Are you able to send me the sheet music for this?

  • Did you go to internationals in Denver this year?

  • nope, I live in sweden

  • How did you get into barbershop?

  • I don't know, it started with me singing in a classical male choir, and once I got asked if I wanted to sing some stuff in a quartet, and they showed me Sit Down, You're Rockin' The Boat... and after that I was sold...

  • Oooooh, man, you need to multitrack THAT tag! That song has some SCREAMING harmonies when sung right!

  • ah this was great

u sound great wiht ur self

  • ATTENTION!!! ATTENTION!!! ATTENTION!!! ATTENTION!!!

I'm thinking about making a 12-track CD audio-only with entire songs. This will take me several days, maybe weeks of full time work in production, therefore I'm going to have to sell it. If I charged 15 dollars for this CD (payment via PayPal, delivery via mp3 internet transfer), would YOU buy my CD? Replying in ONE of my tags is all I need.

  • I think youd better make sure you can sell the album. It takes quartets a long time to get cd's ready to sell. You have to make sure you own the rights to all the songs your recording because if you dont, you could get into serious trouble.

  • yeah, I kinda discovered that... Hmm, I don't quite know what to do about that, I've already completed two songs...

  • its fine. You could do a cd for like a few friends and family. Or maybe, if your involved with a chorus, maybe you could put in a request to help sponser you in completing the cd.

  • No, I'm not... and recording one song almost takes an entire day, and even if it's fun and all, it's not fun to do for nothing... I'm thinking about getting a famous arranger to sponsor me with some cool arrangements, maybe new ones that never have been recorded... If they do, then I could sell the record =) I just wonder how hard it will be to find an arranger willing to do that...

  • you would love aqualung, 'just for a moment' your voice is quite similar as well, give it a listen, very nice by the way

  • now that i listen for it i can hear the tuning issue with the lead rejoice...thats ok though, ive listened to all your tags and they are practically flawless

  • wow. the tag sounds flawless. as far as your diction goes, the only thing i would suggest is on the final L, as in Israel, should be much lighter. when you make the L sound, put your tongue just behind your teeth, which makes it sound much lighter. great job.

  • haha thank you and all... One thing I just can't see with everyone is that you won't hear the falseness of the first rejoice part. I personally listen to my tags many times a day, but I can't bare listen to this tag because of this. In my opinion, the L in the end is the least of my concerns here, but yeah, you're right, I need to work on it...

  • Dude, NICE! You need to sing all of the song. Luv to hear that.

  • hmm, never saw it that way... I probably could! I already know all the parts, and I need something to do now =P

  • amazing! I loved the chord progressions.

  • Thank you so much for posting these...truely amazing

  • Dude! that was amazing! I've been thinking about recording some songs singing all four parts myself... but I couldn't find any good way to do it. what recording program did you use? what part did you record first?

    Jake.

    West Towns Chorus!

    18th internationally.

  • I recommend you to use Sony Vegas for the recording. It can record video sequences and mix them together very easily. If you don't have a cam that's compatible with live recording in that program, you could make the recording in a program such as Windows Movie Maker and then import them in Vegas. THen you'll have to sync them manually thoguh...

  • And in this sequence I recorded the lead first. After that, bari, bass and tenor. It's different every time though, I choose the order based on which tones each part has and which tones are easier to tune against eachother...

  • Good job...are you in a quartet and/or chorus somewhere?

  • nope =/ I live in sweden, and the scene isn't too big here... and I'm kinda picky with whom i sing...

  • that was great excellent blend

  • you also have a nice voice.

  • that's awesome!!!! how did you do that.

  • nice blend

  • What a cutie!!!

  • That was beautiful!! Just beautiful!

  • Absolutely astonishing!!!

    Mr.Finey Leee
