It's traumatic, and the trauma usually lasts well into adulthood. All it takes is one bad experience like that, and you fear the dentist for the rest of your life. I know, it happened to me. Not by these guys, because this was in the 80's. But similar techniques were done then.

It took nearly 15 years for me to go to a dentist again. It was a miracle my teeth weren't in any worse shape than they were.

OMG I can't believe these people are still in business! It is bad enough that children are afraid of the dentist and to have this type of experience is very traumatic! I hope and pray that something is done about this and SOON! These people need to lose their dental license for life and never be around children again!

If there is a Small Smiles, Kool Smiles, Ocean Dental, Adventure Dental or any other dental chain who caters to medicaid children, please spread the word. Also never ever let your child go back by themselves at the dentist office...these guys work for these mills, then break out on their own, your dentist may be one of them...

Its not like this just in NC, Its like this everywhere at small smiles....My fillings are coming out because a dental ASSISTANT did them---not an actual dentist. They don't numb you up, and you end up will blood everywhere.....
