  • @danedw9113 It's listed as WV as a previous commenter stated that this took place in WV (it was originally listed as being in VA). I wasn't there and have no idea what state it actually took place in. I guess I'll have to change it back.

  • cool

  • whens the next one?

  • I WANT A GO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @roaringwaterbay I suppose that depends on what you consider "talk funny" to mean.

  • @heypete1 If you brought a 203 before 1984, does that mean all rounds for it must been made before 1984, or can you still purchase them after 1984?

  • @reptile202 I think you're thinking of the 1986 closure of the machine gun registry. This doesn't affect Destructive Devices at all; they can still make new M203s and grenades and sell them, though actual explosive ones count as a separate DD (the 40mm launcher is a DD by itself) and require an additional Form 4 and tax. Non-explosive grenades, as well as 37mm flares and their launchers (which look essentially the same) are not classified as DDs.

  • @heypete1 So civilians can own the actual 203 with the actual explosive-type grenades?

  • @reptile202 Sure. The launcher and the grenades both count as Destructive Devices, and are quite expensive ($200 NFA tax for the launcher and each grenade, in addition to the cost of the launcher/grenade itself).

  • The kid @30 secs looks like "Bobbie" from 'King of the Hill'... grinnin' from ear to ear!!

    Roanoke is in West Virginia..Duh!

  • @BuzzDyou Why is it a "duh" thing? There's a bigger city named Roanoke in Virginia. That's the first city that comes to my mind when someone mentions that name.

  • Roanoke Revolver and Pistol Club, Roanoke Virginia.

  • @1beltfed Another user claims that this event took place in Roanoke, West Virginia, not Roanoke, Virginia. I have no idea and, unless someone cites specific evidence, I'll leave it as it is.

  • does west virginia have have like fire arm laws that prohibit automatic weapons? or was this some type of eventO_o?

  • @LiftedElephant To the best of my knowledge (and I'm not a lawyer and this isn't legal advice), West Virginia, like most states in the US, do not prohibit automatic weapons so long as the owners follow the appropriate federal laws regarding purchasing and ownership.

  • its WEST virginia dude

  • @OnlyAKnife Is it? I was always under the impression that it was in Virginia, not West Virginia. Do you have any proof to back up your assertion?

  • @heypete1 yea, i was born there i was there and theres a bunch of rednecks like me! XD thanks for putting this up though

  • @OnlyAKnife Cool, but how do you know that this particular event took place in West Virginia?

  • @OnlyAKnife and me neighbors in this to pete. his name is gary and he's at 2:11

  • @OnlyAKnife Aha. Cool. Just wanted to check. I've changed the name of the video (I didn't know that could be done, but cool). Thanks!

  • @heypete1 its cool. i just wanted to let you know. never any disrespect

  • @OnlyAKnife None taken. I always appreciate useful comments. If you ever make it out to Arizona, you're welcome to come to one of the ranges here. There's a few 1,000 yard ranges out in the desert.

  • What is that cart at 1:20

  • @kcbrandon It looks like an M274 Mule.

  • Is that the kid who died from the FA uzi

  • @GT4604 No. I believe the incident you're describing was in Massachusetts, not Virginia.

  • love this...brings a tear to my eye...

  • i had a smile pasted on my face for this whole video :) just awesome how much fun shooting can be.

  • Where can I buy a cannon? I want a cannon!!!

  • I love America

  • What when was this I live in roanoke ? Never heard a thing about it .

  • dude! you wouldent invade the u.s. even if you got through that military, imagine being an occupying soldier their with this lot to deal with haha, being from Australia its pretty surreal to me, but hey if you guys enjoy it and not hurting anyone shoot that shit haha

  • that kid got the chance of a lifetime...

  • how do you buy a machine gun?

  • @evand777 Talk to your local Class III firearms dealer.

  • i love how people bad mouth us gun owners, we are doing nothing wrong, just enjoying a hobby and sport.

  • i want a M4 so bad but dang they cost as much as a good used car ($3000+)

  • @borntorazehell777 Semi-auto M4-type AR-15s cost about $800-$900. Real M4s, with the selective-fire option, cost about $10,000-$15,000.

  • 2010, the point in time where people started using guns for entertainment.

  • @timen1986 I think people have been using guns for entertainment since long, long ago.

  • ...YOU CAN BUY A CANNON!? id be pretty freaked out if my next door neighbour kept a cannon in his garage (im british so rifles only)

  • @ziclepickle Indeed. Being blackpowder-driven, cannons are regulated less than rifles in the US.

  • i wish they had this sort of stuff in Australia :(

  • Why in the world would you need those guns?

  • @northvana What does need have anything to do with it? It's a free country, the owners wanted to buy them, had the money, obeyed all applicable laws, and are not harming others when using them.

  • @northvana massive zombie in vasion? XD

  • @northvana People don't need 60-inch TVs, Ferraris, nice big houses, Rolexs and a whole lot of other things, but they buy them anyway. There's nothing in this vid that claims that they needed the guns. They wanted them, so they purchased them. Do I think civilians with full-auto is excessive, yes I do. Would I buy one if I lived in a state that allowed it, yes I would.

  • I agree with you to an extent. We should be careful saying what others need or don't need.

  • This video makes me smile!

  • beautiful!!

  • How many different permits do you have to have to own the .50 cal.?

  • Zero. A .50 caliber firearm is considered exactly the same as any other common firearm (e.g. a .308 rifle, a .223 rifle, etc.) and is regulated the same. In VA, like in most states, permits are not needed.

If the rifle has a bore diameter >0.50in, then you need federal approval, as any such gun (other than shotguns and very few exceptions) are considered "destructive devices".

  • I'm sure he is referring to the automatic variety of the .50 bmg and you need to be registered for these automatic types.

  • Ah, right. I misunderstood.

fanoframs81: Naturally, full-auto (regardless of caliber) is treated as a "machine gun" and regulated under the NFA. It requires the payment of a $200 tax, a background check, and some paperwork. It's a surprisingly easy process, but since no new machine guns can be added to the public registry since 1986, all machine guns are stupidly expensive.

  • 2:50 is a sweet gun ^^ a short g3 as chainfed support mg -whats the correct name ?

  • HK 51, I believe that it may also take magazines as well as belts. The 3 other "G3" guns in the video are HK 21, the dual mounted ones are HK 21 standard and the guy firing the one from the hip is firing the HK 21 shorty.

  • you can own just about anything cept for like flame throwers and rpgs and shit besides that yea you can own just about anything

  • What makes you think you can't own those items?

RPG launchers are considered Destructive Devices, as are each rocket. $200 tax and ATF paperwork for each one. A bit of a hassle, but doable.

  • I live in the Noke and just came across this video... where is this and how do i get in!!??

  • Bro, that video is awesome. I own several guns, no class 3 weapons. like you said, any fully auto machine gun starts at 10k and goes up to 3-4 times that amount. love watching the people shoot the dual m-60's. that looks like so much fun. hell the ammo you guys spent that day had to reach at least 10k. god loves guns, god loves america. God loves law abiding americans with guns. awesome vid. wish i was there.

  • What a great video, thanks for sharing!

they looked like they were having fun!

  • damn,here in mexico,the law prohibits(babelfish translate) have guns to .380 caliber...sucks man!!!

we are in middle of a drug war here....we are alone...the drug lords have the ultimate in ammo...the mexican people?...we have nothing to deffend we ourself....well.. a damn .380 pistol....fuck

i have envy of you guys!!!!

  • Nice Vid Bud. thanks for the post and terrific music too.

  • @doffood1231, why is skateboarding fun for you?

  • why is shooting a gun fun at all??? ._.

  • That can be a very personal question, and different for every person. You should try it sometime.

  • i love it,i love it,i love it!!!

  • Super video!!! It's nice to see good folks who are educated in class 3 weaponry having a good time. The chicks looked to be having a great time. No rednecks here.

  • Why do we need music with this?

  • there is nothing like gun powder smell at morning

  • Attention rednecks. This is not sport

  • Define "redneck". Since essentially all of these guns cost in excess of $10,000 each (with some being far more expensive), I suspect that the owners are not uneducated, poor folks but rather financially successful.

Define "sport". These people certainly seem to be having fun. What's wrong with that?

  • WTF how do these people own mini uzi's isnt it illegal to shoot them while they are fully automatic? also dont piss these people off they'll pop a cap in your ass or a few thousand.

  • No, it's not illegal, as has been explained in previous comments. All of the firearms in the video are perfectly legal (look up the National Firearms Act of 1934 on Wikipedia for more information about the law in question), and the people are obeying state and federal laws.

Somehow, I doubt they'll shoot people if they're just "pissed off".

  • @heypete1

Lol why do you bother commenting man...

when you know another idiot is going to say something again and not even bother reading what you replied.

personally i love firing weapons. not because it makes me feel big but i like the feel of it. i like the smell it gives off, the sound it makes.

  • @heypete1

Just wondering though, what exactly are the laws in USA? can civlians own ANY kind of gun? I think i saw a cannon in this vid :p

  • The laws differ state to state, with certain states (California, for example) having very strict restrictions, while others are considerably more free.

In general, people can buy and own any single shot, revolver, or semi-auto gun without any trouble. Blackpowder cannons are essentially unregulated.

Machine guns, short barreled rifles/shotguns, etc. are considerably more restricted and expensive, and require federal approval.

If you want more details, contact me directly.

  • I see. Was just interested in info about the USA.

  • No problem. The laws are obviously more detailed than the brief summary I made above, but in general law-abiding Americans have the right to own "ordinary" firearms (e.g. not machine guns, but including semi-auto guns) for whatever lawful purpose they wish. In nearly all states, no license, no permit, or registration is needed.

Obviously, criminals have certain rights curtailed, and usually are prohibited from owning or using handling firearms.

  • men i wish i was there i would shoot with m4 i love m4 :D

  • I live in Roanoke and i dont know where this video took place. Anyone know where this took place and if it is a range or not?

  • This looks like it would be so much fun. Do they do this every year and can anyone go and shoot?

  • Ha ha, the comments on this vid are getting worse and worse!

    2nd ammendment....ha ha ha, what a joke!

    Enjoy the violence :)

  • What violence? There's no violence in this video. Perhaps you've confused this video with another one...

  • @GiftedPinecone Oh! I get it, take away the 2nd Ammendment and no one will ever kill again! According to your logic, no one would commit violence if it wasn't for the gun. You're a moron.

  • im more affraid of getting run over by a car than being shot.

    long live my guns.

  • this video always puts a smile on my face for multiple reasons. people of all ages having fun by exercising the 2nd amendment right in a safe controlled zone.

  • I don't like to feed trolls like GiftedPineCone but: The rate of incarceration is higher in America for crimes in general, not just gun crimes. An American car thief or burglar or drug dealer is much more likely to go to prison than his European or Asian counterpart. And he will stay there longer. Maybe we just take such things more seriously than everyone else.

  • No study in ANY country has demonstrated a connection between stricter gun laws and less gun crime. In fact, since the 1997 handgun ban, gun crime in England has increased dramatically. A 2002 United Nations study of crime in 18 developed nations revealed that England and Wales were leading the Western world's crime league, with nearly 55 crimes per 100 people. Currently, more than half of the burglaries in England occur while occupants are at home, compared with 13 percent in the U.S.

  • Wow you have alot more patience then me. If you are 1. Not from the United States. 2. Don't know shit about every state, its laws, and or its criminal history. 3. You look in the mirror and see a retard. Don't run your cum dumpster! You shouldnt talk shit about the united states because your country will not allow you to own a firearm. Yes people do get shot with them. People also get stabbed, Should we ban sharp objects too? A guy gets beat to death, shit just cut off everyones hands.

  • ...yet ANOTHER slaughter in the good old US of A, seems to be a weekly occurence now....will you ever realise weapons like this are completely unecessary and only cause problems?

Strange that this only ever seems to happen with any regularity in your country, coincidence?

    I think not....

  • What, exactly, does a bunch of law-abiding, safe, responsible private citizens having fun with legally-owned automatic firearms have anything to do with a military officer killing several other soldiers on a military base, using only handguns? The weapons are completely different.

Also, your statement that "weapons like this...only cause problems" is demonstrably false: they're being used for fun in this video. Fun is not a problem, is it?

There's plenty of violence elsewhere in the world too.

  • Where exactly is there as many guns as the USA? Places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Ethiopia etc....so if you want to be grouped with countries like that I'm more than happy. Violent communities based on murder and retribution. In no other civilised country in the world does so much gun violence occur...and the USA prison rates for gun violence are at least 20 times higher than the next country....but, I guess that doesn't effect your warped logic, so what will? Being shot?

  • Top 10 countries by gun ownership (according to Wikipedia): 1. USA 2. Yemen 3. Switzerland 4. Iraq 5. Serbia 6. France 7. Finland 8. Canada 9. Sweden 10. Austria Other than Iraq and Yemen, all first-world, industrialized nations. (Don't know much about Serbia.) Afghanistan, Somalia, and Ethiopia aren't even in the top 34 (which is as far as the list goes).
  • Also, nice dodge of my previous question regarding about what, exactly, a military officer killing soldiers (e.g. "murder") has anything to do with lawful people owning guns.

Yes, the US has a large number of guns per capita. It also has a large amount of violent crime. However, such violent crime tends to be limited to gang-infested, urban areas. The average, non-gang-member American is about as likely to be shot as the average Australian.

  • It doesn't have anything to do with lawful people owning guns, it has a lot to do with a nation crazy about guns, though ;)

Your point RE Australia is absurd. You cannot own an automatic or semi-automatic OR a handgun here....AND the screening for gun licenses is actually regulated, not an open slather like the USA. Open a bank account? Get a gun! Crazy idiots....

  • You are, I trust, aware that buying a gun from a dealer in the US requires a federal background check, right? Not just anyone can buy them. Automatic firearms are exceedingly tightly regulated, and require substantial paperwork to own. They're also very expensive.

What's wrong with semi-auto guns or handguns?

Anyway, what's wrong with offering a perk (be it $50, a gun, a chance at a new car, etc.) in a promotion, so long as it's legal?

  • @GiftedPinecone @GiftedPinecone Well Piecone, if someone breaks into your house, What would you rather have in your hand, a PHONE or a Gun. The only thing the police are going to do is make a report and if you lucky call someone to clean up the mess.

  • Finally, please demonstrate a causal link between "lawful gun ownership" and "violent crime". So far, nobody's been able to find such a link: gun ownership in the US has increased significantly over time, yet violent crime is historically low. It seems that the two things are not related.

Indeed, FBI statistics indicate that guns are used far more often to protect people from criminals than they're used to commit crimes. Seems that gun ownership has a positive effect.

  • Protect? What a joke. We don't need guns here to protect ourselves...but then again, our country wasn't founded on gun violence and civil war like yours.

Please explain why prison rates relating to gun violence in the USA are 10x higher than anywhere else...or is that a convenient coincidence?

As far as I'm concerned your position isn't defendable. You're a country full of imbecilic gun totting maniacs.

  • The world's not ideal -- there are criminals out there. Statistics in the US show that guns are more often used to protect from crime than to commit it.

I don't know why prison rates here are higher for gun violence...perhaps because criminals are convicted more often? Honestly, I don't know. Either way, it has no bearing on lawful gun ownership.

Your comments have become needlessly insulting, and are unrelated to the video. If this continues, I will remove them.

  • Who the hell does this GiftedPinecone think he/she is? Seriously, if the person doesn't like what's on the video, why are they wasting their time watching it?

If it weren't for our 2nd ammendment, we would live in a very different and ugly world. I don't know about GiftedPinecone, but I for one don't want to be killed or be oppressed by any evil power.

  • Amen betortron18. Not only is this the 2nd ammendent, but in my opnion it is a God givin right. When you dissarm a nation, they become servents!!!!

  • im from roanoke VA and i didnt hear shit about a machine gun shooting event

  • great vid, put a smile on my face

  • There's nothing responsible about firing two automatic rifles at once, it's just a mindless action. Nobody gains anything from firing guns like this; there's no skill involved, nor are you teaching kids any lessons other than reckless behaviour.

This video garnishes unfathomable laughter from people I show it to, it's a fine example of the mass stupdity of the USA.

Also, Can't You See is probably the most inappropriate song you could have chosen.

    Thanks for the laughs! :)

  • What's wrong with shooting two automatic firearms at once? They're on an appropriate mount, it's safe, and she's having fun. Sounds fine to me.

What's "stupid" about this video or the people in it? It looks like they're having fun in a safe way. Is that wrong?

I know that Australia treats firearms differently, but I don't call Australians "stupid" because of that. Is it too much to ask the same in return?

I didn't choose the song, as I'm not the original creator -- I just uploaded it.

  • No skill involved? This isn't a video game. Its obvious you have never shot a full auto weapon. No one cares about "skill" its about having fun.

  • Just a cultural difference, but I think it's very sad to see kids watching television and playing video games and hanging out at the mall.

  • 2:20 HAHAHAHA GOLD!

    Great video, Cheers!

  • Just a cultural difference; but i think it is very sad to see children shooting guns.

  • The children and adults at the event seem to disagree -- everyone seems to be having a considerable amount of fun. :)

What's wrong with teaching kids how to shoot in a fun, safe, and responsible manner?

  • I want my son shooting from the age of 5. I would rather he have a healthy respect for the damage they can do, and a good understanding of gun safety so he doesn't make mistakes with one if he comes across one without me being there.

using a gun the wrong way is forgivable, ignorance of how to is not. Parents have to take the path that gives their kids the information to be able to make the right decisions, blinding them to how to be safe around these is almost neglect IMO.

  • SAD? KIDS SHOOTING GUNS IS SAD?

You tyrannical government has really brainwashed you when it comes to guns....

People kill people, guns don't kill ANYONE.

  • great vid brill quality...

  • sweet music to be shooting guns to

  • a great american past time.

  • My first thoughts when viewing this is, honestly, "wow what a waste of money/ammo". Dont take me the wrong way. I'm not trying to put the people in the video down at all, I am just curious what the reason behind an event like this is (besides being fun and getting together with like-minded people, obviously). As someone who hasnt fired or even touched a firearm before I am just curious. Perhaps you can offer some insight, heypete1?

  • You're right: there is no real practical purpose for most machine gun shoots -- it's not really a test of marksmanship skill.

That said, you pretty got it spot on: it's fun, you meet like-minded people, and make a lot of noise.

  • Fair enough. Thanks.

  • AWESOME.I live pretty close to Roanoke cant belive I missed this :(

  • this is a truley american event. everyone should be educated in proper gun safety and be able to shoot machine guns at such events. that is awsome

  • 2:23 that's not a 9mm firing mp5 =p. What round does that thing fire 5.56?

  • Yes, I think (off the top of my head) that those are HK-21s.

  • i like the m2hb. great gun. guns of the future? pfff the 50 cal is the gun of the future

  • More evgidence why yanks shouldn't own firearms - dumbasses

  • What in that video indicates that these people shouldn't be owning firearms? They seem to be safe and responsible in all respects, and nobody is ever in harms way. Is there some safety problem that nobody else has seen?

You also don't find me referring to Britons as "limeys" or other silly names. I thought we all out-grew that years ago...

  • Is this the range in roanoke where the guy shoots the cival war cannon? I need a gun range to shoot at :(

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW very stupid !!! NYC AND WDC dosent do thing like that gun and child wooooow

  • What's stupid about having kids shoot firearms in a safe, supervised, and responsible manner?

It seems to me like the adults are being very responsible and watching the kids very closely, including holding onto the gun in some cases.

Holding up New York and DC as the pinnacles of gun safety is laughable: even with DC's ineffective, racist gun control (look up gun control's history), it's one of the most violent, crime-ridden cities in the country.

What, exactly, is "stupid" about this event?

  • i love this vid our stupid prime minister took our guns off us so we can do this sort of thing

  • China may have 1 billion people but if we go to war America knows how to kick some ass.

  • love the vid 5/5

  • Wish I got invited to parties like this ...

  • omg ty for this post, i forgot i needed to get me a fkn machine gun, ARE U FKN SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • H O L Y S H I T !!!! at 1.00

  • God bless America!! dam fine video!

  • granny on that 50 cal

  • Bluetoaster is drinking too much "kool-aid" and needs a loud bang from a gun to wake up... This is a great info vid to teach kids how to use and respect guns... It's like if you want to teach your kid how to ride a bike, you got to be with them and let them wear protection... Same with guns...

  • best vid on youtube

  • who lets there child shoot a gun?

  • Lots of people do.

So long as it's done safely, responsibly, and with proper supervision, there's no problem.

  • So many people do and should.

  • people who don't want their children to accidentally kill themselves with some mysterious metal object found in daddy's closet.

  • Such accidents are at an all-time low due to education efforts.

That said, it has nothing to do with letting the kids safely handle firearms with proper adult supervision at a range.

As you might notice, these kids don't seem to think of guns as "mysterious objects", but know what they are.

I also suspect that the parents keep their multiple-tens-of-thousands-of-dollars worth of legally-irreplaceable machine guns in a proper safe, rather than in a closet.

  • where the hell you been dude?

  • Still love this vid! For some reason it makes me smile and gives me a spirituai lift when I'm feeling in a funk.

Thanks again for posting it heypete1.

  • U.S.A.!!

  • Great video. As for some of the comments about what is the "need" for a civilain to own them, that is of course not even close to the issue. What authenticated "need" do people have to own a 3000+ sq. foot home? "Need" is not the point. Freedom to choose IS the point.

  • anyone know the name of the song/artist for this vid??

  • Yes. It's been mentioned numerous times in previous comments.

  • great posting here!

  • It's a real shame we can't get these anymore. You either have to inherit them or be really wealthy to buy one.

We need to get the Hughes Ammendment repealed.

  • only in america

  • I know. Isn't freedom grand?

  • Your goddamn right it is!

  • i live in roanoke an never heard or seen of this where is it at in the noke

  • lol same here. im like where is this at? did you go to the gun show today?

  • What were those two german machine guns they kept firing at the same time? Weren't they H&k 21's?

  • when is the next shoot?I live in vinton

  • Obama is going to BAN all these guns... :(

    We must do something!

  • [citation needed]

Look, I'm about as pro-gun as they come, but so far there's been no effort by the Obama administration or Congress to push any sort of gun control legislation.

What little talk there's been has been about semi-auto guns (and such talk was quickly shouted down by lots of people and government officials). No mention whatsoever about machine guns.

  • your right

  • thats why i would feel sorry for any country that would try to invade the USA

  • Hell yeah! Is there anything else in the world that can define the word "fun" on this level? I don't think so. The owners are are truly lucky to have such weapons.

  • 1:01 hell yes!

  • shal NOT be infrenged

what part of NOT dont they understand?

  • I kinda get a kick out of people who's eyes get big when they see me open-carrying. They are always from California. "Why do you have a gun and...all that stuff?" Because, that's why. "You can just walk around with a gun on here?" Yup. If you want to you can walk around in a real live cowboy hat and cowboy boots. Get yourself a horse and an indian scout and it's hi-ho Silver, away!

I've often said what we need in Arizona is border security between us and California.

  • Living in California doesn't make you anti gun. I live in No. Ca. and am a life member of the NRA. I love shooting and own many AR's. It's the Politics in Ca. that suck. There are creative ways around the gun laws and to still be legal. I also have a CCW.

  • until you have actually been able to fire a full auto weapon you just can't understand the big smile you see on their faces!

  • my son loves to shoot dad's 1919. we go up to nevada to shoot it.. isn't much interested in the 20mm .. to much work to shoot. likes the ww2 enfield sniper too, nice and light.

  • I love reading the negative comments about firearms. Ignorance is bliss I suppose. But then fear can be ignorance also......So if you watched this video and have something negative to say about firearms, or Our Second Amendment Rights then you are fearful of the gun which that in turn makes you ignorant, if you claim you are not fearfull then you are just flat out ignorant. Fear can be overcome with an open mind willing to learn, ignorance you have for life.

  • whats the one at 2:13 called?

  • Looks like a Ruger AC-556.

  • 2:08 is that a full auto ar10? 0.o somebody's got skillz

  • It doesn't take skill to use an automatic weapon....just stupidity.
