Best damned way to lose The Constitution is to call a convention. That's how states lost The Articles of the Confederation and fell to centrist control. In a called convention to simply fix the Articles, the convention wrote The Constitution. I love it, but it was sneaked in under the door!

Use that Constitutional Convention to stop direct taxation by the Federal Gov't on its Citizens, go to an excise tax only of 10% and demand that the Federal Gov't must operate only on monies that come in, forbidding borrowing, except for dire emergencies, like a declared war.
