They're boring as shit live. Everyone pretty much stood still except for the singer, who only made an arm motion every now and again. Not to mention loads of mistakes, equally shared amongst the guitars/bass/drums.
atreyu is the first metalcore band i was introducted to.. i m a fan.. but i dun like the new album but still love em'.. humble and most laid back band ive seen.
Depends on what kind of music you like. I like Death metal and Metalcore, I like their older stuff. While my friend who like more Punk rock likes their newer stuff.
aye...i say deathgrip was their best album....when you look at musicianship and the sum of a finely tuned machine...this album shows that they were in their prime. The Bull is good and all...but deathgrip did not have 1 SINGLE bad/lazy/"oh that one was alright" song on it. Deffinately deserves to go down as one of MY personal favorite albums of all time.
Total respect for this band. Its one thing to drum for one thing but to drum and sing is another so you got to understand why he's off note occasionally. Great band though
Haha, well, really it's just the vocalists. The singer goes off key frequently and the screamer not only sounds like shit but forgot a few lines before the guitar solo. I can't hear the rest of the band too well, although during the guitar solo one of the notes was supposed to be a thumb harmonic, and it wasn't... It just seems that Atreyu is more of a studio band.
first off, it's called a pinch harmonic or artifical harmonic. please try to know what the fuck you're talking about. and when you can drum and sing perfectly, or move around with the energy Alex has and not run out of breath, please put a video up. i'd love to see you fail miserably.
its actually a pinch harmonic, pinch's and artificial harmonics are a completely different technique and sound completely different, so why dont you try and know what the fuck you are talking about smart arse?
The thing I love about Atreyu is that their screaming is REAL. A lot of other metal bands use specially synced microphones to accomplish their screaming. I hate that. My favorite bands (Linkin Park and Atreyu) have REAL SCREAMING.
linkin park does not scream, even if they do, its not consistent at all. so what if they have a good scream every once in a while, they dont do it almost the whole song. if you can scream consistently, your good. metalcore is not linkin park's genre, you should not have dragged them into this
a bunch of bands use like wierdly scynced microphones to make the voice sound all hoarse, and their just singing into the microphone, but because of the wierd thingys they put on, it sounds like screaming. Atreyu and LP are some of the only bands who don't do that
Actually, back in the days of Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses, Alex didn't scream right at all. If you listen to the original recording of Lip Gloss And Black, his screaming is cut off, he doesn't use his diaphragm, and he is very sloppily screaming from his throat in the song. He has improved a lot since then, though.

The Bull is good and all...but deathgrip did not have 1 SINGLE bad/lazy/"oh that one was alright" song on it. Deffinately deserves to go down as one of MY personal favorite albums of all time.

Haha, well, really it's just the vocalists. The singer goes off key frequently and the screamer not only sounds like shit but forgot a few lines before the guitar solo. I can't hear the rest of the band too well, although during the guitar solo one of the notes was supposed to be a thumb harmonic, and it wasn't... It just seems that Atreyu is more of a studio band.

The thing I love about Atreyu is that their screaming is REAL. A lot of other metal bands use specially synced microphones to accomplish their screaming. I hate that. My favorite bands (Linkin Park and Atreyu) have REAL SCREAMING.

linkin park does not scream, even if they do, its not consistent at all. so what if they have a good scream every once in a while, they dont do it almost the whole song. if you can scream consistently, your good. metalcore is not linkin park's genre, you should not have dragged them into this

a bunch of bands use like wierdly scynced microphones to make the voice sound all hoarse, and their just singing into the microphone, but because of the wierd thingys they put on, it sounds like screaming. Atreyu and LP are some of the only bands who don't do that

Actually, back in the days of Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses, Alex didn't scream right at all. If you listen to the original recording of Lip Gloss And Black, his screaming is cut off, he doesn't use his diaphragm, and he is very sloppily screaming from his throat in the song. He has improved a lot since then, though.

Different effects.
