I don't know why people think she's so good... I mean finger tapping is cool, but it's pretty easy to learn. I guess she's "good" for being able to create melodies instead of just using it for solos. But she's winning all these awards and getting recognition...she's not that great.

most marnie videos seem to be big on talking about how poor/unoriginal her technique is, but... she just happens to write songs (not masturbatory scale practice during a song i.e yngwie) that happen to use the recording process and 'shredder' guitar techniques as a compositional and emotional device. no one should state she is a highly technical player, she wouldnt either.

unfortunately even the indie press which is typically not big on inane technical devices doesnt seem to grasp this, either
